Great stay at Hotel Kumkum in Central Mumbai. Great Location and in the centre of Mumbai so you can get taxis around easily (taxis available straight outside the hotel) The staff were super friendly and available to offer advice to local markets, getting trains, and going to sightseeing locations. Paresh and Amol, the day managers were great to talk to and give us really good advice on taxi fares across the city. My wife and I had also just got married in Satara and we were assigned a twin room but on request we were changed into a double room. The rooms are quite small compared to other cities and areas we have stayed in. (For info there is no lift so this hotel is not accessibility friendly) I

do have two pieces of constructive reflectivness to pass onto the hotel management as possible improvements to guests stay. 1) The hotel looks great, the bathroom in our room was great but the walls in our room (101) would really benefit from having a fresh coat of paint as it looked pretty kid and dirty. 2) you have a lovely roof terrace but it would be good to have a selection of tables and chairs on the terrace for morning coffee/breakfast.. Was a bit disappointed we were not allowed to take chairs and tables from the restaurant. Despite these 2 points I would stay here again for the location and the service.

Location and neighborhood. I stayed during Mumbai Marathon week. They have kept my room ready to check-in on time.

Some staffs are not at all hospitable. A guy was so upfront no to every request. Checkout time is 9, my friend arrived 9.15 and requested to use bathroom either room or common one but they didn't allow. Considering peopling coming from so far for the iconic experience of marathon and you cannot little coperate with them is something downside.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food from the restaurant upstairs every night was delicious, and reasonably priced. Location was safe and quiet at night. Room was a decent size and had plenty of space for our bags etc. Air con and fan both worked well. Bed was reasonably comfortable.

Shower pressure and hot water were lacking. Bathroom was very small with nowhere to put any toiletries etc. No toilteries, water bottles or kettle supplied, despite booking description saying they were included. A 5% tax was sprung on us at the end of our stay - this should maybe be told to guests beforehand.

they changed my room after the first night as the room was not up to standard. i politely complaint and was given my favourite room. it was good to see the staff from my previous stay were all still employed at the hotel. especially the chef !!! i asked for extra towels and a small table which was provided. great laundry service. staff are ver very helpful great location if you need to buy food, big Reliance supermarket close buy. great street market at grant road station for clothes ,shoes ,anything. good for buying electronics and car and motorbike parts. good bottle shop close by. will stay here again nxt visit to mumbai. stayed for cataract surgery and dental work . hopefully the owner will improve a few things ,but otherwise i like staying Hotel KUM KUM

the first room was run down smelled bad and was dirty. the menu in the little roof restaurant got smaller. they don't exchange currency at the reception anymore. the building work during my stay. the carpet on the stairs. that you have to settle the bill at the beginning of your stay. that unfortunately you cant eat on the rooftop terrace or have a beer there due to licensing laws in india.

Very helpful and friendly staff. For solo traveler it's good smaller hotel, near Grant Road station. Relatively quiet place. Many vendors near this accommodation. There's a roof top terrace and room service. I stayed there regularly many times.

For me a little short bed.

The staff was very friendly and equally efficient.they followed their service protocols meticulously without putting a guest to inconvenience.staff was very helpful with safely storing luggage left in their custody.food was served piping hot and with a pleasant ambience.

I recommend electric kettle in rooms for consumable warm water supply.

Great location in Mumbai with street food galore right outside. Good Wi-Fi and very clean and comfortable rooms. Staff was amazing from check in to check out with great food and speedy room service.

Great hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent food and a nice view from the roof terrace. Wifi worked well, and the hotel was in a good location near central train station, which is cheap for local use, although, we love to walk so we covered a huge area of the city on foot, people were extremely helpful with directions. The hotel is being repainted externally, so new guests can expect a spruced up facade

I guess the room could be spruced up to match the new facade, but overall, a great budget hotel.

The staff was great and very helpful with everything. Kum kum is a nice place in a busy area. The bathroom was quite tiny but otherwise the room was great. Great budget hotel to choose.

Lift is not there but nice stairs Not a Grand entrance.But environment of entry is OK No tea maker In room Canteen is OK but small
