I recently had the pleasure of revisiting this gem in Bandra, and once again, it exceeded my expectations. Le Sutra's charm lies in its intimate setting, location and the room's size and aesthetic are simply unparalleled. The attention to detail is commendable, making every stay feel personalized. While the breakfast was delightful, a slight improvement could enhance the overall experience. Nonetheless, my second stay only reaffirmed that this art hotel is truly a haven of comfort and style. Can't wait for my third visit!

The breakfast was good but could be better.

Good location -not far from Bandra and Juhu Beach, while only 25 minutes by car from the airport. A lot of nice cafes, restaurants and bars in the area within walking distance too. The rooms are clean and very originally decorated. Breakfast is simple but complete (eggs in any style, paratha, dosa etc.). Staff is very friendly and polite -special thanks to the smiling reception desk lady, who is extremely responsive. I will definitely come back! :)

Evening/Night staff can be slow even for simple requests -it's better to deal with day staff for quick responses. The A/C is a bit loud. Hooks on the wall behind the entrance door would be very helpful in the room. Wi-Fi doesn't work so well. I used my mobile hotspot instead.

This boutique hotel does not have a flashy facade or reception but inside our room was very spacious, well-presented and comfortable. Each room has its own theme featuring artwork and ornaments and lifted the whole feel, even though there was no outside view. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and their interactions felt genuine as opposed to other hotels where the staff seem to be just hoping for tips. Because the hotel wasn't overrun with guests, we enjoyed a very personalised service during breakfast which offered a selection of Indian and Western foods (eggs, dosa, cereal, etc).

As a tourist, the hotel's location wasn't so interesting. Although it was close to the beach there wasn't too much else to see without taking a rickshaw to Hill Rd (approx 10 mins) for some shopping or the like. One of the biggest drawdowns was there was an unfortunate dried fish odour permeating the whole area near the hotel. This affected the outdoors of their restaurant which means we preferred to dine inside to avoid the smell. For the most part, this didn't affect the rooms but it was a bit of a put off to what was otherwise an enjoyable stay (and wouldn't stop us from going back again).

This property was very clean, on arrival from the front desk to the guys cleaning the room, all very good , one stand out was a Mr Asif Biswas, chief in charge of the hotel, nothing was to much trouble for him, ‘’Out Of he Blue Restaurant’’ you can go there with confidence, next time in Mumbai this is the place for me for another 11days……Keep up the good work Asif, looking forward to seeing you in November this year……

very busy at check in, had requested early check in via booking.com, the manager replied days later after checkin.. the breakfast was disappointing, day 1 full buffet spread but food was cold and the toasted sandwhiches were cold. day 2 no buffet but items were available via a menu only to be told that the dhosa/uttapa or all south indian starters are not available. the ac in the room 308 points directly onto the bed and is not adjustable. requested for softer pillows and was given the same pillow. they are all very hard and overfilled.

The rooms are indeed very pretty and the staff was always helpful and kind. When you check-out, they even give you a nice little gift and thank you for being part of the experience.

Just one thing - which I admit is out of the Hotel's control. But on some nights, the nice is unbearable. There's a club nearby that hosts events and so it's really loud and you will be able to hear the bass as you try to fall asleep. The events only end at about 2am! The hotel does provide you with ear plugs though.

Good: A) the bed is very comfortable, the facilities are clean B) the front desk is very responsive and the staff very helpful (helping walk with me with an umbrella outside, Sivam helped me with luggage, etc) C) breakfast and coffee at Out of the Blue is excellent - Boris was especially helpful D) love the little bhel/nut samplers with every turn down service. Very thoughtful! Hope that helps

Can be improved: 1) the lighting switches in Prakriti (room 307) are very very confusing. I finally just press various buttons just to see what happens - a lot of trial and error. I think the labels and instructions could be better. 2) the AC in Prakriti is really really cold. Even if I raise the temperature to 20. And the fan is definitely noisy 3) I had asked for a couple of clothes (jeans, tshirt) to be laundered (I was expecting them to be INR 75 each) but they came back dry cleaned (at INR 250 each). Apparently there isn’t a wash-and-iron option, which I didn’t quite get. That price difference felt like a ripoff. Please let your clients know that you ONLY dry clean - it’s important information.

Staying at Le Sutra was a wonderful experience. Every room has its own signature design. Ours was the Shuddhi themed room and it was very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the lively Khar neighborhood. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. On our last day we booked a treatment at their in-house spa; a relaxing way to end our Mumbai trip.

To our surprise, the restaurant kitchen was being renovated during our stay. Breakfast was served in the art gallery and this felt a little bit improvised.

Arty hotel in a fantastic location. The staff were helpful and they offered turn down service everyday. Rooms were super clean, comfortable, and had interesting details within them. Wifi was really strong. If you want to stay in Bandras this is a really good option.

A lot of food on offer for breakfast plus good service, however the quality was not as good as a lot of other places we have eaten in India. For price of hotel would expect bette and would prefer even spicier local food.

Overall, my stay at this art hotel was a delightful and enriching experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and fulfilling travel experience.

Some days, the entire neighbourhood smelled of dried fish. Not sure what caused it, certainly nothing the hotel could do about, but that hampered the experience. Fortunately, the smell did not enter the hotel or the rooms.
