The Staff. So lovely ALL smiling and SO helpful. Very clean and really nice smell (a special fragrance in my room. Arun and all Kitchen staff very attentive. Food in restaurant delicious. Supria at desk is lovely and Ravi very helpful with my future plans for booking here next time. I’ve 2 other places in Mumbai - this place by far surpasses them all!!

The staff were friendly, helpful and eager to please. The hotel is managed by an exceptional manager Sanjiv Shinhgadia. Sanjiv goes out of his way making sure his guests are well taken care off. obviously well liked by his staff on how he treats them. The attached hotel Soul, with a free breakfast has a great choice of daily Meals to pick from. once again run by a attentive manager and staff. The restaurant is often booked by locals for parties so must be good compared to other restaurants around the area. The airconditioning is icy cold, as I like it.

This is a three star older style hotel. Do not expect a super deluxe hotel for the reasonable prices they charge. To the well traveled couple we are, the value for money for this is great.

The staff at the reception, the room service boy, guards were helpful and professional. The location was good. Spacious and clean room. The chef made sure that according to our request the food was not spicy. He cooked especially for us. Arun, responsible for serving the food, was very professional, pedantic and helpful. He really pamper us.

Need to add more lighting in the room. I couldn't read a book. I discussed with Mr. Dipesh that some accessories are missing in the bathroom such as soap, hangers. These are small things that are so disturbing, especially with those staying like us for 10 days.

I went for work and wasn't expecting much more than a safe stay. The room was basic, medium-sized, and i was thankful for the glass window that overlooked busy city life. However, I observed that they tried their best to keep the premises clean and tidy. Also the breakfast was a good spread. The restaurant/room service was expensive, busy, the food was good but I am not convinced of their quality. I plan to rebook if I am in that part of the city mostly for the intelligent and hard-working front desk staff, Christina, who seemed to have everything under control (supervised the rooms etc) and worked very smart.

I liked the friendly dining room and kitchen staff. They were always helpful and pleasant. The cleaning staff were pretty quiet and carried out their tasks in a quiet manner. Nice quiet hotel. I don't know how old the hotel is, but the room i had, served the purpose for the reason I came to Mumbai. So my comments here is only going by the type of room I booked for this trip. It was a comfortable bed to put my head down when not at the dentist. The bathroom is old and tired and you can see they do their best to keep it, as well as the rest of the room, up to a reasonable standard. You might call it wear and tear but a lot of effort is put in to make ones stay more pleasant. Breakfast was included with my booking. I had lunch in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious. Depends on your taste, if you like Indian cuisine. Overall I enjoyed my 5 days here.

I didn't like that I had to pay another $95.00AUD when I arrived at the hotel at about 5am in the morning. The flight I was on arrived in Mumbai at around 12.30am Tuesday morning on 5 March 2024. A week before I took the flight to Mumbai I called the Oriental Residency hotel and believed I was talking to the manager (he said he was the manager) informing him of my late arrival and will there be someone at the reception to give key to my room. He said it is 24hour service. I apologised that I will be late and he said that's okay, I can have the room. Upon arrival I was advised otherwise. I either had to wait until 12 noon to get into my room for a much needed sleep or pay another $95AUD. Well, I paid because I was tired from the long flight. So in effect, I paid double for one day.

We stayed in a room with a terrace which was nice Room was clean bathroom was small but practical but water was hot & water pressure was excellent Staff were very friendly especially Arrun from the restaurant area he served us breakfast every day & was very friendly & helpful

A couple of staff kept asking for tips but hadn’t done anything for us Communication was difficult with some of the staff it was hard to make them understand what we wanted

Good place ,centrally located,all in place.No noise in such a busy area. Buffet breakfast options good, Mr.balraj at the restaurant was very caring,serving hot and freshly cooked delicacies on the table .No complaints. Deepak and sathamesh at the reception very kind as well.

Our stay was most enjoyable , from the moment we arrived the manager was very well-coming, she help us with all our needs, the guy cleaning the room every day for two weeks was great, breakfast every morning Aron was most obliging, they only to pleased to help with my special needs, The evening meal was great, Ippat could not do enough. All staff were always ready to help, next time in Mumbai we will stay at The Oriental Residency Hotel. THATs FOR SURE,,,,. Royston and Lea from Australia.

I was fortunate to stay at THE ORIENTAL HOTEL for 3 weeks in February this year,..from the moment I walked in to the property Reddy Balram was there in reception to book me in fast, then breakfast next morning meeting Arun Shetty made my day, the food was more than adequate, excellent service,…..my room was kept so clean by Braun Nayk, all in all this is a great Hotel, cost very reasonable, only negative is the bath rooms are ready for reservation. still very functional and clean. position wise very close to my Dentist, Dentzz,…..I’m back in 6 months from Australia, will be staying again at The Oriental, thats for sure!

a great place to stay….

Hotel location is close to major shopping areas, hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Pramod, the room cleaner was doing an excellent job everyday cleaning and making our room. The restaurant food is excellent quality. The manager of the restaurant is very friendly and inviting. We stayed for 12 nights and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Excellent taxi service to airport, beats UBER for both price and quality of vehicle.

It is expected due to old construction, hallways and elevators are crowded, but are manageable. Breakfast was becoming repetitive as a long stay guest..
