The whole experience. The staff were very customer focused and friendly all the time. Of course, there is always one exception. One receptionist was very off hand. Never one smile and he made you feel you were really not that important to the business.

The property was quite easily reachable. It was super clean and well maintained. The staff especially in every aspect of managing the hotel was extremely polite and nice. Right from the staff at reception to room cleaning and restaurant was so nice to us. The hospitality was top notch. The breakfast everyday was simple, freshly made, healthy and good quality. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and i would definitely recommend the property to anyone coming to pune.

My priority for any hotel is cleanliness, and this hotel definitely meets the requirements. The rooms are spacious, and the bathrooms are also decently sized. The hotel itself looks quite new and is very modern overall. While the breakfast buffet was limited, there was something for every palate and it was tasty. As for the staff, they were very nice and they offered us early check-in since our flight arrived earlier. I will definitely visit if I ever go to Pune again!

The breakfast was simple but delicious. I like how they keep the place clean and their clever use of light and color of the place really makes it a breathable and a relaxing environment. I have come here for the second time in the past two years, and have seen that they maintain the quality of their work.

The staff at the reception were polite, but they could do with a little bit of soft skill training.

Very neat & clean place. Hygienically served food. Great hospitality. Centrally located, hence accessible to small restaurants, doctors and 20-30 mins to all sight seeing places.

- The hotel can have a dedicated travel desk. This will support new visitors to Pune who want to look around popular tourist spots in Pune. - can have variety in breakfast. many stuff keep repeating each day. Also, there are no sweet items in the breakfast buffet spread. Like, cake, pastry, kesari baath, coconut burfi, kheer, etc. At least 1-2 choices can be included in the buffet everyday. - Milkshakes or fresh juices can also be added to the breakfast buffet.

Really nice hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Good restaurants and streetfood nearby. Very clean, AC not as noisy as in other hotels. Breakfast is great. I would definitely come again and can absolutely recommend this hotel!

Only two power sockets inside the room, one near the table, one near the bed. A second one at the other bedside would be great. Breakfast ist from 7-10 but if you're not there till 9, they are going to call you and tell you that breakfast is ready - every day. For us, this is weird and disruptive. If we're not at the breakfast at 9, then because we don't want to have breakfast yet and maybe only at 9:15 - we know the breakfast times and we know how to read a clock. But this "call customer at room because of every tiny thing" seems to be normal in India, we experienced this in other hotels, too.

My stay at Hotel Shantai was absolutely fantastic. They SAVED me from a disastrous situation with another hotel. They were able to check me in immediately at 10:00am and the staff were amazing. If you're a foreigner and happen to be in Pune, I'd HIGHLY recommend the hotel.

The breakfast could have had a bit more variety. No toasters for the bread, no coffee, and primarily only Indian food (that's mostly my Aussie self who wants a few western options). The bathroom OVERALL was good, but there were a few bugs, despite being on the 3rd floor of the building.

This hotel is excellent, deserves a higher star rating! My room was very spacious, with lots of light and kept very clean by the staff. All the staff, including front desk, bell boys, restaurant staff and maintenance staff were all very polite and professional. The food in the attached Cinnamon restaurant was also great, including the buffet breakfast served every day. I stayed at the hotel with my elderly mother, and the staff were very accommodating to her needs. Their laundry service is also very reasonable, and my clothes were returned the next day, washed and ironed. The location of this hotel is also very good. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay at Shantai Hotel, and would definitely book here again.

A big shout out to the wonderful Arijit Sarkar who works the night shift. We were arriving at 6am by train so I had booked the night before and had warned the hotel about the arrival time. It was so lovely to walk into the hotel and for the young man on reception to say 'hello, you must be Mr Watton'. How professional is that!?? Throughout our stay Arijit was just so great. Breakfast was excellent - cornflakes, fruit, 2 or 3 Indian options, toast (maybe fruit juice would be good too), tea and coffee of course. Staff were generally great, a few more smiles in the restaurant would have just topped it off. Room was large and shower was great too.

Wifi was poor and cumbersome to join - with popup logon screens. Some road noise but it definitely quietens down after 9pm.

The Shantai is a good travel hotel with the essential facilities, clean rooms, hot water, good restaurant and bar, location was good for accessing other areas of Pune - fairly central. would stay again.
