Really nice hotel, extremely friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. Good restaurants and streetfood nearby. Very clean, AC not as noisy as in other hotels. Breakfast is great. I would definitely come again and can absolutely recommend this hotel!

Only two power sockets inside the room, one near the table, one near the bed. A second one at the other bedside would be great. Breakfast ist from 7-10 but if you're not there till 9, they are going to call you and tell you that breakfast is ready - every day. For us, this is weird and disruptive. If we're not at the breakfast at 9, then because we don't want to have breakfast yet and maybe only at 9:15 - we know the breakfast times and we know how to read a clock. But this "call customer at room because of every tiny thing" seems to be normal in India, we experienced this in other hotels, too.

Very neat & clean place. Hygienically served food. Great hospitality. Centrally located, hence accessible to small restaurants, doctors and 20-30 mins to all sight seeing places.

- The hotel can have a dedicated travel desk. This will support new visitors to Pune who want to look around popular tourist spots in Pune. - can have variety in breakfast. many stuff keep repeating each day. Also, there are no sweet items in the breakfast buffet spread. Like, cake, pastry, kesari baath, coconut burfi, kheer, etc. At least 1-2 choices can be included in the buffet everyday. - Milkshakes or fresh juices can also be added to the breakfast buffet.

This hotel is excellent, deserves a higher star rating! My room was very spacious, with lots of light and kept very clean by the staff. All the staff, including front desk, bell boys, restaurant staff and maintenance staff were all very polite and professional. The food in the attached Cinnamon restaurant was also great, including the buffet breakfast served every day. I stayed at the hotel with my elderly mother, and the staff were very accommodating to her needs. Their laundry service is also very reasonable, and my clothes were returned the next day, washed and ironed. The location of this hotel is also very good. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay at Shantai Hotel, and would definitely book here again.

My stay at Hotel Shantai was absolutely fantastic. They SAVED me from a disastrous situation with another hotel. They were able to check me in immediately at 10:00am and the staff were amazing. If you're a foreigner and happen to be in Pune, I'd HIGHLY recommend the hotel.

The breakfast could have had a bit more variety. No toasters for the bread, no coffee, and primarily only Indian food (that's mostly my Aussie self who wants a few western options). The bathroom OVERALL was good, but there were a few bugs, despite being on the 3rd floor of the building.

A big shout out to the wonderful Arijit Sarkar who works the night shift. We were arriving at 6am by train so I had booked the night before and had warned the hotel about the arrival time. It was so lovely to walk into the hotel and for the young man on reception to say 'hello, you must be Mr Watton'. How professional is that!?? Throughout our stay Arijit was just so great. Breakfast was excellent - cornflakes, fruit, 2 or 3 Indian options, toast (maybe fruit juice would be good too), tea and coffee of course. Staff were generally great, a few more smiles in the restaurant would have just topped it off. Room was large and shower was great too.

Wifi was poor and cumbersome to join - with popup logon screens. Some road noise but it definitely quietens down after 9pm.

The property was clean and well maintained. Cleaning staff did a good job with keeping the room clean. Wanted to extend the stay but hotel was full. Understandable. Breakfast was great and the choices were tasty south and north Indian and they were mouth watering. Staff were well mannered and helpful.

Nothing there to complaint about the property. I had to fight with 2-3 mosquitos and not sure how they got in side but finally they met their fate sandwiched between my left and right palm. 😬

Good breakfast and food in the restaurant was delicious. Staff in the restaurant were nice and kind. All bell men were very helpful. Room was nice and clean

First, the evening front desk staff was not very efficient and lack of service mind. We booked many days before 2 rooms for 5 people, one room for 2 was very fine and another room for 3 but it was not ready for 3 people on the first night . We informed him and other staff for 3 times before the 2nd night but when we came back our daughter from school almost late night, the room still not set up for 3 yet. He told us that he has to wait until we are in the room. Why they can not set up before? We have already booked for 3 and paid for 3. Silly explanation from him !!! Room was no tissue paper and especially refrigerator.

I like the food, the service and the attention they give their client..place is safe to move around till 10 .. otherwise there are rickshaws that take to the place...very centrical area

The check out time ...to leave the room at 10am when normally the check out time is at 12noon...but on the whole staff were friendly..had to change my transport from 11 to come early to pick.me up coz check out was at 10am...Many guests didn't like the check out time... especially when you have to check out on weekends..

Essentially we couldn’t fault it. It must be fairly new and everything worked in our spacious room. There was even a kettle and tea making facilities. The bathroom was fitted to a good standard. The bed was comfy with lovely sheets. The hotel was spotless. The location is pretty good, easy to walk to some of the old town.

If you are not keen on Indian breakfast then there isn’t much else on offer

The property is centrally located and placed in a good neighbourhood very close to the railway station. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The service from the hotel staff was good and the breakfast was excellent with many items to cater to our taste buds. Overall it was a pleasant stay and experience at Shantai.
