The name Madin neither sound familiar nor it sounded like a top end property. When I reached the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised to such a well maintained property which is used by international travelers also. The facilities provided are high end and the staff are well mannered, welcoming and helpful to the guests. It is also centrally located and very convenient to go to the main attractions of the city of Varanasi. I really liked the size of the bathroom in our room and the facilities therein.

1. Rooms could be a bit more spacious. 2. Breakfast - I think spread is great. However, the taste of the food items can be improved, e.g., Masala Tea and Puri Subzi can be improved. The same items that you get in the alleys of Varanasi city are much better.

The room rate paid was high relative to the hotel and class of amenities. Somehow with this tariff even breakfast which is a standard feature was not included and separate rates were applicable for buffet breakfast, lunch or dinner which was high for a location like Varanasi. This was informed to us at check in.

Wifi is pathetic and connections on phone were on mobile data for all 3 nights we were there. I did have work to keep abreast of, but wifi was often unavailable though every call to the front desk was responded to promptly. The system and process for wifi itself is faulty. With only Smart TV's in the room this is something the hotel seriously needs to look at. Its constructive feedback from a person who is well travelled and was happy with Front Desk, Bell Desk, In Room F&B, Housekeeping.

My partner and I were quite unwell when we checked into this hotel, we just needed somewhere comfortable to stay while we recovered. We loved everything about this hotel, the staff were lovely and helpful, the rooms were so comfortable and clean. It was the best shower we had in India. All of the facilities were fantastic and the buffet breakfast was beautiful. The location is really nice and clean and quite close to the train station. There’s also some shops only a 5 minute walk away which is convenient.

The staff were really friendly and were able to make my stay very comfortable. They organised all the day events for me including a trip to a silk saree shop. Very nice. The rooms were a good size and the bed very comfy.

The dinner was nice, but the salads were a little less tasty. I think the Indian food was probably delicious. I just found the Western food wanting. Service was prompt and professional. I think the hotel itself had the makings of a five star hotel, but the pool was not available, WiFi average in rooms, and it was a little away from the centre action.

Excellence in every way, right down to the tiniest details. LOVED this stay. An added bonus was Ajay Singh who manages the Travel Desk in the lobby. Ajay organized wonderful sightseeing for us and went the extra mile to personally ensure we were looked after. He is a kind, knowledgeable and highly respected man who is able to open doors to places that others cannot.

Everything was superb, the staff, the service, the amenities, the restaurant, the travel desk support! Only drawback was on our last night they held a huge corporate function in the basement that literally shook the hotel with its noise. This became quite distressing but they did eventually move our rooms to help.

Breakfast was really good. Rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were really clean and well equipped.

Staff were nice but needs to be trained more

Rooms are big and very clean, staff is nice and very helping but the reception staff is slow.

Morning breakfast is good for Indian people but very less option for foreigners. My husband (British) didn’t find it attractive, also bread and croissant were very dry. Coffee was not good, however, masala tea was good so we just decided to go for it.

Everything went well. The welcome was great, the food was great (they accommodated dietary restrictions), the rooms were clean with all the luxury amenities. They gave us rooms near each other and also helped make the birthday celebration for my mom very special.

I cannot think of anything I didn't like. If I were to nitpick, they could have a better informed travel desk.

We booked a triple sharing and they upgraded us for free as it was too small for 3 people, which was lovely of them. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.

Only negative is that the food was so spicy it was inedible, has to order a la carte everyday. Our entire big group of 16 people thought the food was way too spicy. However the food i ordered a la carte was great. Also kitchen service is very slow, could be improved.

Nice location. Breakfast is very good (still there is scope for improvement). Excellent amenities. Great attention is paid on cleanliness. Overall it was a quite comfortable stay at Madin.

Too much time taken by the front desk staff in sending help to carry luggage before checkout and equally long time taken for preparation of bill etc. at the time of checkout. Rooms are small as compared to other 4/5 star hotels. Rates are slightly on higher side. Hotel management is requested to provide sanitizer dispenser on each floor and also to provide sanitizer sache of some good brand in the rooms unilke the local one being povided now.
