I had an amazing stay at Puri Ayu on my first week of travel in Bali in this accommodation which is part of a traditional Balinese home palace. The place is very well maintained and owners are taking care of every single detail. Rooms are big, spacious, furnished and decorated natively, all covered with natural materials which I absolutely loved. Clean and spotless, they clean and check if anything missing every day. The garden is stunning. I've used the pool every day and sometimes at night, it was so enjoyable to swim looking at the greenery. The WiFi connection was excellent, no issues with the audio or video calls while I was working remotely. I enjoyed the chats with the lady owner, an incredibly good and lovely human being. Her French husband is taking care for the property and is very helpful.

Nothing really. The sliding entrance gate was a little bit difficult to open and close for me, but not an issue.

I had booked all three rooms for my sons in their early 20s and their friends. I wanted them to experience a bit of real Bali vibe rather than a modern villa style, surrounded by high walls, small pool and minimal garden which seems to have taken over Canggu. I succeeded, that’s for sure! The boys loved the space, big rooms and fabulous bathrooms, gorgeous garden, well-kitted kitchen and plenty outdoor chill areas and of course the lovely, good-sized pool. The villa is in a superb location, dozens of eating places are within walking distance and anything else in Canggu is a short Gojek ride away. Thierry was super helpful and they enjoyed the interaction with his family and friends. This villa is amazing value too. The boys would love to return one day.

What an awesome stay. Spacious, clean, beyond expectation for sure, wonderful relaxing pool area, everything was of excellent quality from the linen, to the comfortable bed, through to the facilities and supplies in the shared kitchen. Communication was excellent and host was very flexible for changes that had to be made. Friendly, informative and supportive folk. Considering location a quiet escape from the activity around, plenty of cafes, restuarants and shops on your doorstep. Many thanks and we hope to return.

Our stay with Thierry and his family was fantastic! The property was truly an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Canggu - we were SO grateful to be able to take rest there during our stay! Thierry and his family were very kind and helpful (especially when I got food poisoning - Thierry's wisdom was a huge help!). We absolutely loved the facilities - the room was stunning, the pool and garden were serene - when I return to Canggu, I know where I'm staying! :)

Absolutely amazing property, just off the main strip, the grounds are beautifully maintained and it’s quiet area! We loved the decor and the interior of our place at Puri Ayu. Thierry was accommodating, friendly, and an interesting man to speak with. The shared kitchen was perfect, had everything you may need. Also the grounds pup- Pablo- was so sweet! The staff were extremely friendly, always ready to help us with any request. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay in Canggu.

Everything! This place is a piece of paradise in the heart of Canggu. It is very green, peaceful, you can hear the birds and feel relaxed. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very spacious, the beds very comfortable and everywhere it is sparkling clean.💫 You also have access to a big beautiful kitchen and terrace. We stayed here 10 nights so much we loved it and felt at home. Thierry, the owner, and his family are very welcoming, super hospitable and made us feel very comfortable and at home. Thierry is an encyclopedie of informations and can give you the best tips for the whole Bali and its secrets spots. We can only recommend this place again and again! We can't wait to go back! Puri Ayu is a quiet oasis in the middle of a very busy city. There are gorgeous plants and trees, fish ponds and a nice pool with sunbeds to relax. We had the front room with pool view and the room was super clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The owner Thierry and his family are very welcoming and we had lovely conversations with them. If you are into cooking, there is a common room and kitchen for everyone to use which has everything you need and I was so impressed by how perfectly clean this kitchen was😃 The location is good since you have everything you need right around the corner.

Everything was great! The only thing to mention is that the property is on one of the busiest roads around which doesn’t have a side walk on some parts. The property is a few km away from the main ‘centre’ of Canggu, so renting a scooter is recommended. Even if the road is busy, it is still pretty quiet when you’re on the property.

This hotel is a paradise oasis in the middle of the very busy beach town of canguu. Once you enter into the beautiful garden, it feels like you are in a completely different place. Everything is incredibly clean and well kept. The hosts are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They even sat down with us and helped plan the rest of our trip. We were very happy they hosted us.

Lovely family run guesthouse. Felt very at home here and also safe as a solo traveler. The room gets cleaned everyday which is great and looks even nicer than the pictures. Thierry, his family and staff are very nice and helpful. I was able to check in early which was super convient. There are only 3 rooms so the pool almost feels like a privat pool. There are plenty of restaurants, shops or for example laundry close by. I would definitely stay here again!

The host family was awesome. Nice people. The homestay is located on one of the busiest streets in Canggu but you won't know it since it's hidden at the end of an alleyway. Easy to find various food options, a convenient store is just across from the street which was my go-to place for a quick beer. The room was big enough and the bed was very comfortable. The beaches in Canggu are overrated since you can see dirty water from the streets going into the sea. Luckily there is a nice pool in the homestay. They keep the lawn in good shape, and the common space is very big and comfy. Overall very quiet and secure place where I can relax. Would love to come back.

If I must find something to say, mmm, the bathroom is of good size but can use a little touch-up. For instance you can get rid of the tub (no one is using it), and make the bathroom brighter, get newer toilet seats. But the family makes everything clean.
