I checked-in to The Komu for a few nights during my trip to Canggu, but I couldn’t get myself to leave- it truly became my home away from home in Bali! It’s a brand-new design-focused chic hotel with an emphasis on ‘innovative luxury’. However, the real show-stoppers in this hotel are the STAFF. They are the ones who made this place my second home. I went back again and again and continuously extended my stay only because of them. Indonesian Hospitality is truly unmatched and they raised the bar even further. I don’t think I’ll find this anywhere else! From the front office staff, to the reservations team, to the housekeeping staff, to the security, they all go out of their way to extend their hospitality and make your day better with each interaction! You can truly feel their care and warmth and what makes it even better is the fact that they all treat each other like family- such work environments and communities are extremely rare finds. They’re happy to be there and that further rolls over to the customers’ experience- they’re genuinely happy to have you there too! What I really loved as well were the small gestures and the attention to detail- whether its the security greeting you with such heartfelt smiles and hellos each time you pass by, to the towel art (literally works-of-art) by the housekeeping staff, or the Vatos staff who so warmly open and close the door for you each time. I will truly miss them all, but I feel that I’ve made some friends for life and they’re going to make me come back again and again! Back to the hotel- the location is brilliant and is literally walking distance to everything you need- cafes/boutiques/restaurants. Everything is in mint condition and the interiors are done up tastefully. I can’t recommend it enough! Don't miss out!

Beautiful new hotel. Architecture, use of materials and interior design were all really well done. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, had a good bed, and a nice bathroom. We booked a pool room, which was cute, but I wouldn't book it again, because the pool was too small and elevated to comfortably use. Great communal rooftop pool with view (and a bar yet to be opened).

Our room was in the basement all the way back in the building. The only way to get there was by walking outside all the way to the back, in the heat (or rain) and past all the workers, security guards and commercial spaces under construction. And then another stairs down into the basement. If you want to go to the pool or anywhere that is the only way to go. Which isn't very comfortable and not really up to par with the rest of the hotel experience. In the parking garage there was one designated parking area for scooters which was pretty far in the back and full, while the rest of the parking was completely empty.

Everything! Just amazing. Beautiful rooms with a cute balcony with pool. Just perfection! Staff were delightful and accomodating to our requests. Couldn’t recommend more :)

Nothing. There’s construction happening around the area but for us it was entertainment watching or listening to the sounds of maintenance happening in the building. It’s Bali, everything is being constructed.. embrace it - it’s all about the experience :) Also a tip for the hotel.. invest in some pool towels that are maybe brown to match the theme as the white towels get a bit dirty being used outside.

The hotel is beautifully designed, very modern and stylish. Bed and lounge were very comfortable and facilities exceeded expectations. Staff were very friendly and had excellent customer service. The ability to be able to watch Netflix and utilise screen casting on the TV was also great.

The hotel is a little outside the centre of Canggu and all of the hot spots, requiring a 20 minute drive to most popular cafes, shops etc however there are definitely still some great options within walking distance. My room was very dark which made doing my make up very difficult as well as this the pool in my room was entirely undercover, with no sunlight, this was really disappointing. The pool was also an awkward depth, roughly to about hip height so I had to kneel to be submerged, nevertheless it was still great to have a private pool in my room.

We had a private pool which was exceptional, spent most of the time in it for the day and went out at breakfast and dinner. Would only book again for the private pool (considering cost). Location was quite good. Close to lose of restaurants and things to do but not overly loud. Found it hard to sleep with the bed being a bit uncomfortable and also rooms were very dark even if all lights on.

To be picky and pretentious, room could use one big light. Otherwise the property was amazing.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The Komu is a modern beautiful place to stay. ALL the staff are so lovely and considerate - we had such a good experience with everyone. They assisted us with booking tours, laundry etc. our room was the junior suite with plunge pool - was huge! Way bigger than expected, such a good size pool to cool off after the day. This hotel is very central to everything a few minute walk to Atlas, Finn’s, beach and a lot of good restaurants. Had a nice rooftop pool as well with some day bed which was added bonus. Couldn’t recommend this place enough

When we booked The Komu, we obviously loved the place from the photos but upon arrival, we were blown away by the hospitality, modern decor and cleanliness of the place. Our studio villa was on the top floor, accessed via swipe in elevator and gave us unmatched privacy and amazing views of Canggu on our balcony. It's proximity by short walk to all of the popular places in Canggu ie. Finns Beach Club, Atlas Beach Club as well as massage parlours, restaurants and retail shops made our stay comfortable, effortless and relaxing. The restaurant - Vatos, at the front of the accommodation offered us friendly service with a smile and the staff were always treating us to complimentary snacks and informing us of free inclusions which was phenomenal.

We wouldn't change a thing. This was the perfect accommodation.

Top modern room design it felt cozy, warm, spacious with so many natural light coming from the big balcony surrounded from two side with a very nice view from the top and the location win’s big time…it was one of my best places to stay in in Bali for sure highly recommend it

There were ants more located in the kitchenette area we didn’t kw from where it comes even after cleaned and sanitized by the housekeepers they kept showing!!.. And the construction noise of the building next to us was so bad and annoying but it’s not the hotel fault🙏🏾 😅…

Loved our stay at The Komu (apart from getting Bali belly on our last day, which meant we actually ended up extending our stay by one night, making it four nights in total). A fairly new hotel, great design, modern and comfortable. Staff were nice. We had room 247 which is a studio with a private plunge pool. (Some of the pools are not so private but ours was almost fully enclosed so very private.) The rooms are well set up with comfy beds, a desk, a couch, robes, bottled water, mini fridge and Nepresso machines. There's a nice rooftop pool area with sun loungers and cabanas where you can order food and drinks. And a restaurant downstairs, which we tried one night - it was ok. Great location, only a ten minute walk to the beach (and Finns Beach Club). Lots of shops and cafes right outside the door. There's an AMAZING Japenese restaurant called One Eyed Jack's just down the road, highly recommend.

Not that it really bothered us but the lighting in the rooms, even the bathroom, is VERY dim. Great for mood lighting but not so great when you're trying to put makeup on to go out to dinner. Outdoor furniture by the plunge pool would be great, a sun lounger, or small table and chairs. Room service would have been nice. The restaurant downstairs was a bit average as far as food goes. Also, one day we ordered food and drinks while at the rooftop area and after waiting over 45 minutes, had to remind them. Then they only brought half the order.

Great and comfortable clean room, location and staff! Ayuk at the reception was lovely and all staff had beautiful smiles to spare us :) Lots of good restaurants and cafes nearby… hotel was new and clean, with interesting offers for nearby businesses. In-room coffee was superbbbb 🤩

Service wise - the staff were lovely, but a little too eager? We hung the DND sign on the door (as we had fallen sick), and yet they persistently knocked on our door for a good continuous 5 minutes till we responded on when they could clean our room… (luckily we put our phone on DND mode).
