Balinese style with beautiful gardens! Great selection of food for breakfast. well trained staff.

mosquitoes were quite bad after it rained. to be expected and they did supply repellent!

Pool was very clean and relaxing, Breakfast had wide selection of food and staff excellent, room cleaned daily and spacious. All staff very helpful and friendly.

Everything was really good. We did not find any faults.

The staff, without exception were great, from front of house to gardening and housekeeping teams were always helpful and greeted you each time with a smile. I appreciated that the pool staff removed towels from lounges and tables as soon as someone left which discourages guests from 'reserving' lounges all day eventhough they may only use the spot for a short time. This is a big bugbear for lots of travellers... so well done Risata.

Different cultures are great to experience while travelling but it also brings with it different approaches to respecting other guests right to a positive experience too. Food handling by some guests who want to try a particular item and then put it back is not good hygiene practice. And speaking loudly/ shouting across rooms and public spaces is intrusive, so maybe a few 'think about others' reminders would help everyone to have a good holiday. Perhaps tour guides could also be engaged to pass on this important protocol to their patrons.

Pool had little shade

The Risata Bali resort and staff are just amazing, beautiful people who take the time to say hello and get to know you personally. They are all so helpful and always have a smile. The rooms were very spacious and clean with lovely views of the lush greenery of the tropical plants. The resort has a lovely tropical feel to it The pool area was great and relaxing. The buffet food for breakfast was very delicious, I chose the Indian cuisine option most days as it was excellent and the freshly cooked eggs your way each day was sensational. Transport from the airport and back was a great service along with the late check-out and still using the facilities and waiting lobby prior to leaving for the airport. A few minutes walking distance to Jerman beach was great and a 15 min walk along the beach walk pathway to Kuta beach and shopping centre was a lovely stroll. A few great little places to eat and have massages very close by. A tip: the ATM right next to the Risata was excellent for taking out cash and a very good exchange rate. I wouldn't bother exchanging too much cash in Australia or at the Airport, as this ATM was a much higher rate without getting ripped off in Australia or the Airport. A cross from the Risata is also a mini mart which was very handy. The day spa at the Risata was also amazing!! I booked a three hour pamper session prior to leaving for the airport! This was an amazing way to end my journey in Bali! A two hour: foot soak, full body massage and scrub, a facial and then one hour hair nourishment treatment which was sensational and made my hair so soft and smooth. A wonderful experience. The staff are so friendly and very helpful. Only ten minutes from the airport and away from the crowds in kuta itself which was nice to be in a more quiet area.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. Everything was lovely. Thankyou

Excellent selection for breakfast including an egg station and roti station. Staff always polite and helpful. Grounds beautiful and well maintained even chopped some bushes when we requested as we couldn't see over them from our patio. Pool large with shallow area for kids. Many lounges around the pool and drinks staff serving reasonably priced alcohol. Had 6 hour late checkout for 500,000rp as we had a late flight.

Renovations immediately next to our room but they only worked 8.00am to 5.00pm so they didn't bother us too much. Tea at breakfast was very weak but I just took the teabag from our room to add to make it stronger.

Lovely facilities with nice dining and pool area provided a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The room was also very nice with a balcony, large king size bed, a nice bathroom and excellent air-conditioning.

The checkout process requires they check on your room before letting you leave, so expect extra time before booking your ride. It can take a little while if a lot of people are checking out at the same time.

The pool area was nice and you could always get a sun lounge. The breakfast was decent. We did notice that it was a bit more catered towards Indians but we were still happy with breakfast options. The egg station is good and so is the fresh dosa station. Location was good for what we wanted. There was plenty of food options around, plenty of convenience stores around as well as a mall just around the corner that had a bigger supermarket. Plenty of money exchange places as well. We enjoyed it. Not a lot of clubs and pubs and bars but that’s not what we are interested in so it suited us perfectly.

It was a bit of an older resort that was slightly refurbished but it was still ok. The music in the breakfast buffet was really annoying and repetitive. Gym doesn’t open until 9am which is silly as most people workout early morning. The gym itself was extremely small and had a mouldy smell. Gym equipment was old. We didn’t end up using it. Wifi was really poor. I work remotely so found this to be annoying. Connection was a bit better in reception and around the pool area but it was bad in the room. Aircon was good but it was loud.

The room was spacious and well equipped, including excellent air conditioning, ensuite, safe, microwave, kettle & bar fridge, & a small balcony overlooking greenery & the fountain & pond (& bar). The fruit bowl and cold bottled water were lovely welcome gifts. Staff were able to take my luggage up & down stairs for me. Staff were highly skilled. Some were more helpful than others. The swimming pool is beautiful, clean, surprisingly warm & great to swim in. Floatation devices & towels provided, comfortable sunbeds, some with shade for some of the day. Walking distance from the beach and a variety of shops, from small local businesses to large airconditioned multi-storey malls. ATMs inside Discovery Mall. Luggage storage after checkout.

Even though the menu at the restaurants and bar say “includes 21% tax” I was still charged two extra tax/service items on my bills on top of that. (Yes, I told them my room number, so they knew I was a guest) These extra charges stopped me from booking anything at the spa, to avoid more “add on” charges. I went elsewhere for spa treatments. The fountain provided white noise to mask sounds from other guests, but it was also quite loud itself. The room was not soundproof or mosquito proof. The hotel has a tour desk which seems to be staffed by taxi drivers. It might be cheaper to book via Grab, Bluebird, or Success Taxis. Check the map before agreeing to go anywhere to avoid their suggested itinerary unnecessarily cross-crossing the island.
