Nestled in about 14 acres of lush landscape in Ubud, Ananda Resort offers a serene and enchanting escape. The beautifully appointed rooms, with their classic traditional Balinese decor, provide a peaceful retreat. Whether it’s the picturesque surroundings or the delightful breakfast buffet, Ananda Ubud creates a magical experience that captures the essence of Bali’s charm.

With 3 beautiful yoga pavilions, I wish they actually have scheduled daily yoga classes where guests can opt to sign up for. Currently, they do offer yoga but on an arranged schedule, depending upon how many people are interested so it makes it quite expensive if you’re the only one.

I’ve stayed in Ubud so many time and in different locations and Ananda is now one of my favourite. I didn’t have a private villa but a room up the top level with rice paddie views and a beautiful balcony and it felt so private. I loved the grounds, the great selection from the buffet breakfast, the pools and the room was perfect and so clean and bathroom had a bath. I always had the balcony door open. Everything was super clean. And staff were amazing.

Breakfast was brilliant. Fresh juice made for breakfast. hot and cold meals in buffet. Huge selection. I am a Celiac and they had gluten free bread:) Room was Indonesian and although a little and old was full of character and was very clean. Daily cleaner was delightful, and I tipped him as he deserved this. Poll was brilliant we used it daily and rang for pool service for drinks to be delivered. Loved it!! I would stay again. Other family members arrived after we had left and stayed at out recommendation and they loved it and thought it was brilliant value for money, and clean!!

Everything. The location was perfect for us. Easy taxi ride to the bustling centre of Ubud. Also there was a shuttle bus to use. The swimming pools were brilliant. The breakfasts were incredible service was perfect, they booked taxis and sorted so much out for our family group. Taxis to the spa to shopping to other resorts for the wedding. There was a shop within easy walking distance as and also great restaurants close by. Lots of meals out and about at night. The place felt welcoming and felt Balinese not just another western hotel.

Water pressure was a bit low but with everything else so good, no one cared.

Staff, room, location.

Ananda is an incredible oasis of peace in Ubud. The bungalows are located in the middle of the rice fields and beautifully decorated with wood and batik textile, making you feel really relaxed and living a truly local experience. We fell asleep to the sound of nature and the cute little frogs at night. The resort is huge and includes also a wonderful yoga shala for your practice. Breakfast is great and all the staff is helpful, smiley and always available. This is a perfect place to stay if you want enjoy the peace and unique energy of Ubud while being close enough walk to the city centre. We will 100% be back.

The fact we had to leave.

Beautiful, serene resort surrounded by rice paddies, the family shrine, and other traditional features typical from Bali. It is an easy motocycle ride to Ubud Center (use the Grab app). The staff was very nice. The big pool is in a green, lush location. Breakfast was tasty. We had a big room (30) with a nice view on the paddies and the trees, where squirrels were playing. My son loved feeding the koi fishes in the pounds. We would certainly go back to this resort if we visit Bali again.

My young son got a bad food poisoning at night (not from the resort). Unfortunately, the guard could not really help and, when I asked, mentioned that all the pharmacies were closed. The next morning, I realized that the nearby pharmacy was open 24/24h.

The resort was beautiful!! I am definitely going to recommend this place to my friends. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. I had the pool to myself most of the time which was lovely. The breakfast was the only downfall, the eggs were overdone and the bacon wasn't very nice, maybe a more traditional Indonesian breakfast might be better.

Great location with plenty of restaurants and shopping a short walk up the street. The resort has a beautiful, relaxed feel to it. Very peaceful and picturesque with the rice paddies in the middle of the accommodation. Ambience is very chilled. Breaakie was good. Limited options and vegetarian but yummy. Rooms were very spacious and had lovely views over the rice paddies (slightly impeded in our room). Big deck out front. Decent bathroom with shower over bath. Nothing fancy but had everything we needed. We were a group of 5 and all loved our stay. All agreed it eas excellent value for money!! Recommend.

If i had to find a negative.. It's small, really... we loved our stay!! Pools could have been better. Nicely maintained but fairly basic style and small. But there's several! Beds were a little on the hard side, and it would be great if the front doors actually closed properly when you left and locked up the rooms. The mosquito nets were a novelty but great to have! The weird lock on the front door is very fidgety to use.

Beautiful gardens and surrounds, great location, friendly staff, rooms very clean and room attendant very thorough and helpful (thanks Sudiasa) We stayed in adjoining rooms 36A and 36B and it was lovely to have a shared balcony space between the rooms so we had plenty of space to share with the kids. Beautiful outlook from the room. We stayed 14 nights and were very pleased with our stay

Some elements of the rooms and pool facilities etc are aging but we can see they are in the process of updating these (pool umbrellas being replaced during our stay with lovely clean covers) and we love the rustic charm of Ananda so it didn’t bother us. Very good value for money
