My husband and I stayed here for four nights. The first night we were upgraded to a room with a rice field terrace, this was a gorgeous and spotless room located in their newly built property. However, the room we had booked had quite a different standard. It was an older building, with much less light, more noice from the street, and we had bats in the roof. So we would definitely recommend selecting one of the newer rooms. Overall the property is calm and beautiful. Unfortunately there was quite some ongoing construction while we were there, and the rice had just been harvested, so it looked and smelled quite muddy. The staff is very attentive and friendly and the spa facilities were great. The breakfast was good and they offer free shuttle service to the city 3 times a day. Otherwise it takes 10 min and cost 50 IDR to get into the city.

Amazing resort, from start to finish you feel like royalty. The room was exceptionally clean, with the general things you need. The service from the staff was fantastic, so friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible, a nice variety to choose from. I was made to feel so at ease travelling solo. The spa treatment was the best ever. One of the best experiences of my life, I had a great birthday.

Nothing at all. I can't find not one fault.

This hotel was absolutely incredible and had the perfect balance of Balinese culture and comfortability. Best location, situated outside of the main Ubud centre but close enough to walk or ride there. Motorbike hire and laundry services opposite the hotel and amazing prices! 185k IDR per day motorbike hire (£10) and 36k IDR (£2) for our laundry which was neatly folded and pressed for us. The breakfast (Look Bee Cafe) alone is *chefs kiss*. Choice of local dishes and more home comforts - even the bacon is like home! Fresh bread and fruits are delivered every morning so this is all included. We actually ate here 3 times for dinner because the food was so good - again, a mix of local food and some western too. The room was lovely, everyone gets their own little terrace area which we liked to play cards on. The room is decent sized with a fridge to pop your drinks and snacks into. Bathroom is gorgeous, semi-outdoor style and you walk on pebbles for your waterfall shower (there’s also a shower head above the bath if this isn’t your thing). Cleaned daily and towels changed regularly. The views from the pool are lovely, and we would absolutely recommend getting a spa treatment. Staff are so warm and welcoming, they are always willing to help and give you information about anything you need. Overall, this was our favourite hotel of the trip and was such a brilliant way to start it off. Thank you to all of the staff for making my first time in Asia such a wonderful experience.

Gosh, if I had to be reaaaally fussy I would say that they should close the pool area when putting raw chlorine in, as it can be harmful to sensitive skin. But honestly, you will see the chlorine for yourself so can make a decision to stay out of the pool or not.

Pros: the private pool villas are great! Whoever is maintaining the gardening is doing an amazing job! Beautiful landscape.

I have stayed on this property twice now, both times our clients stayed in the private pool villas and both times, my husband and I stayed in the room with rice terrace view. The rooms were always spacious and we enjoyed the patio. The rooms in general are dated and run down. The wall paper in the bathroom (in our last room) was peeling off. The wood on the bathroom door had a tear. The shampoo holder/pump was broken. These are things that can easily be fixed. Not sure why they weren’t.

Beautiful gardens. Immaculately clean. Quiet. Spa onsite. Super friendly, caring & helpful staff. Out of the business of central Ubud.

No resort run yoga classes in the beautiful yoga studio.

It was such a nice stay. The staff was super friendly and we enjoyed ourselves so much. You have to try the spa when you are there. The people that work there are really good at what they do and we would love to have done more if we had the time. The pool was also beautiful and the hotel had a real characteristic Bali style feel to it. The location is also perfect with some really nice restaurants in the neigborhood.

The rooms are a bit noisy, you can hear your neighbors if they are a bit noisy.

I would definitely recommend staying here and would 100% stay again. The staff are so lovely, nothing is too much for them, they are very friendly and polite. We checked in late due to an issue with our flight, we were put in a room which didn’t look like the one we had booked. This was swiftly resolved the following morning with no hesitation so this was not a problem. Both rooms were very spacious and with great views. The grounds are beautiful, there is a new building attached to the reception where there is a rooftop gym & yoga area looking out to the rice fields and a 2nd pool. We got treatments at the spa - pedicure, fully body massage & a facial. The staff were very professional and treatments very affordable. The breakfast was a buffet, each day there were one or 2 changes to the menu but everything else stayed the same. The options were very nice we really enjoyed the breakfast here. This was not a problem as there was enough variety to have a different type of breakfast each day with them making fresh eggs to your liking on request. They also gave an option of room service breakfast with many options to choose from. When we were leaving early on our last day they packed us a breakfast box to take with us. They had a shuttle 3 times a day to Ubud centre , if you wanted to go anywhere any other time there are local taxi drivers right outside the hotel waiting to take you at a very cheap price £3 one way to the centre. The drivers were lovely, we got their numbers and asked them to take us to other places we needed to go. There are enough options near the hotel to venture out for food, a supermarket shop (circle k), or laundry place. We got a bag of laundry done for £2.50. The location is actually perfect as it is out of the busy centre but close enough to get around wherever you want easily enough. One time we walked from the centre back to the hotel because we wanted to walk off our meal and look at the local places.

There is nothing we didn’t like about this hotel. The only thing we could say is to maybe have the buffet breakfast labelled. This was not an issue for us, but this would make things easier for someone with dietary requirements. We did see staff explaining the buffet options to customers who enquired.

The setting is excellent, with rice fields next to the accommodation. The restaurant was available at all hours though limited in what it could offer. Transport shuttle was available to the central market area thee times per day for free and at other times for fee. Gym, yoga studio and spa all good. Two shared pools. We were a family group with three generations so differing needs were all met to a high degree. Gardens all well kept and beautiful.

Accommodation is a bit tired and could do with some maintenance or upgrades. Lack of cooking facilities in private villa with pool.

Check in,restaurant,spa,housekeeping.All the staff were exceptional and my room was spotless.A nice big balcony overlooking the gardens and rice fields.A great restaurant and good choices for breakfast.At the northern end of Ubud but so close to all the rice field walks.A nice big bathtub and the bed was really comfortable.The spa was great with all private rooms and the staff there were awesome.There are many restaurants within walking distance and a couple of times the shuttle bus will take you to the centre of Ubud.Really good value for money and you will not be disappointed staying here.

Leaving

We like and appreciate the warm and welcoming reception, the great and wonderful service from the staff. The staff were always smiling, respectful and kind. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Special thanks to Dian, Wayan, Suri, Ema and Ayu (apologies for forgetting the names of the other staff). They made our stay special by attending to and addressing our requests. We like the theme of the resort which captures the essence of Ubud - modern facility with a farming village-feel. We like the convenient facilities - pools, restaurant, spa. We will definitely recommend Bliss Ubud Spa Resort to our friends and family.

If we were to name one, it was the location of the room that we stayed on the first two nights. It is close/near to the main road. We heard the loud noise from the vehicles/motor bikes which made our sleeping nights uncomfortable. In saying this, the staff at Bliss Ubud were so wonderful. They really wanted to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. As such, they relocated / upgraded us into a quieter room at no charge. The room is overlooking the rice field which is amazing.
