Everything. It is a guest house that is is run by a native Balinese family that are just wonderful, nice, and accommodating. Wayan and Made made sure everything was as easy and chill as possible - they really make sure you feel like family. Room: The room they put us in was on the 2nd floor within their compound. It is a goegoues Balinese royalty inspired room with intricate wood and stone carvings. The bed was a king sized bed complete with mozzie net. It was a spacious room with a beautiful balcony and sitting area. The bathroom was spacious and has all the amenities including body wash and shampoo made from Bali. Food: The breakfast was first class with a selection of fruits, juices, and meals such as Pandan Pancakes, nasi goreeng, scrambled eggs, or mei goreeng (there are more selections). It's all home made by them. Technology: Wifi was fast and easy to connect to with no drop outs. The area receives 4g+ which was fast enough for international video conferencing. Environment: It is a guest house but has a beautiful lush green outlook and water features found in a Balinese residence of great repute. Location: It is situated in the back streets of JL Bisma close to the hustle and bustle of Ubud but far enough so you don't get city or loud noises. You overlook rice fields and other properties in the area with vistas of the mountains on a clear day. You are super close to an awesome Coffee shop (Inoz Coffee) and a warrung that serves delicious Indonesian food for 20 - 30k IDR (Papege S Warrung). Price: You absolutely CANNOT go wrong with the price for the quality you will experience. Other plusses: They are very knowledgeable in the area and are prepares to help out with anything you may have questions for. They have transport to the airport as well for a fee (very reasonable)

Nothing at all - in fact when there was an issue with the hose on the bathroom they fixed it immediately. Everything was perfect.

The guest house is located in an incredibly beautiful setting—in the middle of rice fields, yet just 3 mins away from the Main Street, so it was very tranquil and peaceful, more so by some sweet artsy elements in the building, coy fish, a fountain right next to our facility. The staff and owners were really kind, too, always making small talk, and giving some advice on what to do. Their lil dog was also a highlight, although a barky one. You can rent a scooter right at the property if it’s available and it’s 100k. Breakfast is included and the green pancake is a must try, along with the very yummy fresh juices.

As we came in rainy season and stayed on the first floor, we’ve had quite a few insects in our room (which the geckos took care of to some degree). The mosquito net was helpful for some of that, too. The ac was pretty loud and woke me up the first night, but we’ve figured out that at 26 degrees it runs smoother and quieter. The facility was mostly clean but the bathroom could use some more cleaning, especially the bathtub.

The owners and the staff was very kind and helpful. The staff was making sure that the room stay clean all the time. Location was amazing, as you have access to all facilities (restaurant, coffee shops, supermarket, pharmacy and massage center) you are few minutes away from landmarks like (Ubud palace, Ubud market and many other things). The house style and decorations was stunning ( Authentic Balinese style).

As part of the Balinese style, the bed was a bit higher than the floor, which might be a bit problem in case if you want to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Watch your head, as you might hit the doors decoration couple of times, till you get used to it. The water pressure in the toilets was a bit weak.

Traditional rooms and guesthouse. The owners were lovely and the breakfast changed everyday, allowing us to try a few local meals. The room was great and the bathroom… never had one that big, all in traditional Balinese style. Location very central, 5’ walk to Ubud palace and markets, with shortcut to the Monkey Forest. Would recommend 100% and definitely go back.

Perfect place to stay if you plan to explore around Ubud. Walking distance to planty of restaurants and shops. Good breakfast and kind staff

I had a wonderful stay at Bali Moon Guesthouse! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful—lush greenery and a peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel truly connected to nature. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a perfect place to relax. Breakfast was delicious every morning—fresh, flavorful, and served with care. But what really made the stay unforgettable was the amazing host—so kind, helpful, and welcoming. You can feel the genuine warmth and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene and comfortable stay in Ubud!

The location lies within a beautiful garden in between rice fields but just a few streets away from the center of Ubud. We felt very much welcomed by the owner and had a great stay. The breakfast was delicious and together with the view of the garden in the morning sun it was just the perfect way to start into the day.

This place is a jewel in Ubud. It’s a family-owned homestay, and the hosts are so nice and helpful. They assisted us with our daily itinerary and even lent us a scooter. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious! We had a special room with traditional Balinese ventilation and a roof that’s naturally open to the outdoors—it was simply perfect! The room is always comfortable and everything was well organized and clean. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this place. On top of everything, it’s a great value for money and in an amazing location! Very quiet, peaceful, and silent at night.

fabulous breakfast and location. I loved how quiet this area is. Lots of little hidden gems in this mini-village out of bounds to cars! Remarkably quiet given that it is only two minutes to Jl. Bisma and the craziness of downtown Ubud. The family who own the complex were very friendly and helpful. And I loved the sound of the little waterfall in the fishpond. I felt like I was in Bali of old!

I found the bed, though very elegant, difficult to get in and out of as it was so high! Also difficult to keep mosquitoes out as there was no glass in the windows. But that gave it more atmosphere.

Bali Moon Guest house was our home for 4 of our 5 nights in Ubud! We received a warm welcome and coffee from host Wayan upon arrival. She and her husband Made, and their two adult children Ray and Nanik run this wonderful guest house together. Our stunning room featured a covered porch, comfortable four-poster bed, and a terrific, airy bathroom with a beautiful tub, handheld shower and hot water. We slept well at night, with minimal noise, and none from Ubud's busy streets (the hotel is located far back from them). While there was no AC in our room, a ceiling fan and roomy mosquito tent kept us perfectly cool and bite-free (truly no single bite during our stay). Breakfasts were just terrific - mixed juice, Balinese coffee, and quite a few delicious options, including perfect Mie Goreng! The location is perfect - a 10 minute walk to the Royal Palace and a 25 min walk to the Monkey Forest. It’s a quiet spot off the main road with rice paddies in front and back. Many terrific restaurants and shops are within a 10-15 minute walk. The best part was Wayan, her family, and cute dog Helle. We felt their genuine care and pride in their culture and religion. It was important to them to ensure we had a good visit in the city they’ve called home their whole lives. They helped us with everything we needed, from finding good dances to see, to getting a very good driver (their son Ray).

There was nothing we didn't like about Bali Moon Guest House. We hope to return one day. Bali Moon was a perfect balance of being close to town and quiet retreat from busy Ubud. Our bed was perhaps 3 feet off the floor, and we laughed over how hard it was to get in compared to home, but in fact, we made it in every time. Maybe an extra coat hanger for my shirts would have been nice (there were four coat hangers and I had five shirts), but really, that's all I got that wasn't perfectly perfect.
