Beautiful hotel and amazing spa. Perfect for a few chilled days in Ubud The views of the rice fields are breathtaking!

This is a relatively new hotel and everything is great apart from the restaurants. Breakfast was very limited if you don’t want an Asian cuisine as as it is served outside there is a problem with ants/bugs able to get to the food. eg bread hanging on the wall We also ate in one of the restaurants and the quality of the food wasn’t great - menu was very odd and I would probably rate as my worst meal in Bali for taste (very little!) The price was also very high. A glass of house wine was also over 200K which was ridiculous Due to the location it’s not easy to eat outside the hotel as in the middle of nowhere so at least 15 mins taxi ride outside

New hotel, the rooms are spacious and beautiful, the pool and view from the pool is gorgeous. The "a la carte" breakfast is very generous, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The coffee is very good and they excelled at serving it exactly as I wanted it. The fitness center is small but has the basics. The spa looks amazing, unfortunately I did not use it, they only use the wonderful Clarins products. The staff and service is wonderful, even thought it is a newly opened hotel, everyone is very capable, so sweet and helpful. Thank you Kappa Senses team!

Although in a very beautiful area (surrounded by rice fields, small farms and temples), the hotel is 15-20 min by car/scooter from downtown Ubud. The location is perfect for those who do not want to go to Ubud every day, and prefer staying in to enjoy the hotel. If you want to walk to the main attractions, this is not the hotel for you.

The service is good. The Asian restaurant is good quality but very limited choice. Good choice for breakfast.

The hotel is a bit sterile as it does not give you a Bali feeling. The rooms are good ., the one with he pool facing rice fields is very good, but in general it is not the hotel where you feel like in Bali. The pool restaurant should be better and coffee for breakfast is not acceptable. They should do it in manually not with a Jura machine.

What a beautiful gem just on the outskirts of Ubud. The hotel has amazing facilities to literally stilulate all your senses, from overlooking authentic rice paddies and jungles to its incredible presentation of food that cater for all tastes. They also have a massive spa that is professionally run and beautifully designed. The staff is probably their greatest asset. They are so humble and kind. They will go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met. They have daily activities that involve different aspects of Balinese culture as well as a free daily shuttle that goes into the centre of Ubud every 2 hours.

There is honestly nothing that we did not totally love and if we had a concern we just asked and it was rectified or explained to us.

This resorts has the best of what Ubud has to offer: villas with views of rice fields or jungle, located next to a creek with river. They offer amazing facilities, like spa, meditation, pool, jacuzzi, swing, organic garden with animals and even farmers, a pond with koi fish, top quality restaurants, a very old sacred tree, a small temple (also a big temple is located right next to the resort). I guess the only thing missing is a kopi luwak farm :)). Everything that you are supposed to do (or see) in Ubud, you can pretty much do without having to leave the comfort of Kappa resort. They also offer daily activities. The quality of the villas is top notch. I wish they would give the options to buy them for personal use, that’s how wonderful they are! Everything is new, clean, and fresh. The staff speaks very good English (better than in other resorts) and they all live in the village nearby, which I think is fantastic! They have very good energy, and they are friendly and willing to help with anything and everything. Very relaxed atmosphere and everyone is helpful. It’s a top quality resort at affordable price. I am happy I didn’t go to Four Seasons, which I was considering.

They should improve the portion size of the food, even if that means making it more expensive. The pasta was super tasty, but the portion size was too small.

The location and grounds are stunning only a short drive from Ubud’s centre which they provide a complimentary shuttle service. The staff were super polite, couldn’t do enough for you they also take the time to learn guests names, nothing was too much to ask! We actually left our larger suit cases with them for a few days after our stay as we only wanted to travel light to our next location they organised a drop off service to our following villa and ensured they arrived safely with us - absolutely would recommend if your stuck between a few hotel options for Ubud this is definitely the place to choose!

I loved the option to get fresh juice at breakfast. Would have been nice to have a few more fruit options available (papaya, mango, etc). Very friendly staff. Really appreciated the offer for local tours around the rice fields and village. Was great not to have to get into a car for a change and still get to see a little of surrounding village life. Our daughter (10 yrs) absolutely loved the rabbits and little pigs!

Capuccino with oat milk was available, but took a long time to arrive and was cold. The pool was unfortunately a bit short for swimming ( approx 17 m) and only opened at 10 am.

I liked the villas and the layout of the hotel. It has amazing greenery and wonderful villa pools. Unusual location close to the village and next to rice terraces but that made it real and authentic. It is a really nice property and has excellent location to explore the Ubud area from there. Rooms are of a good quality, stunning bathrooms with outdoor showers. We loved the spa and the fireplace ambiance (one evening it was prepared for us to enjoy the atmosphere in private).

Wine was a bit difficult to order as it comes from one place only, that can be streamlined given that there are several restaurants in the hotel.

The service was amazing and the room was very good. Definitely a place to stay for a pure relaxation trip.The Spa was absolutely amazing. It might seem expensive compared to what you find outside but it is top class service and treatment - welcomes drinks, post treatment teas of your liking with a view over rice fields and villas. The staff was really helpful and made sure we had the best stay there. The restaurants at the hotel were amazing. Definitely a good place to start the day with breakfast and to end the day with the pork belly there.

The hotel is far away from town and the shuttle doesn’t run that often. Last shuttle from town to hotel is at 2:30pm. You can have reception book at car to drop you off and pick you up. IDR300,000 return from ubud centre or IDR500,000 from a location of your choosing. There’s a in-house farm area as well and if you’re close to it with the rice fields view you can hear the rooster and smell the cow. Nothing too overwhelming but some people might not like it.
