Beautiful tranquil retreat from the noisiness of Ubud. Friendly staff, and as it is a small boutique hotel, a family feel to it. The facilities were really good; my deluxe room was spacious, clean with a kitchenette included and a lovely bathroom. Also there was a glorious view onto the rice fields, and a lovely area where we could sit in the swimming pool area. The restaurant was by the front desk, and the food was good, though for dinner two of the nights I went to a very good restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. I had an excellent massage and there were books in a library area to read.

The challenge with this lovely hotel is the transport into Ubud or anywhere else in Bali. The hotel provides motorbikes and bicycles, but I didn't feel confident enough to try the motorbike on my own, and a bicycle is a little precarious in the face of the traffic into Ubud. There is a shuttle back and forth into Ubud once a day, but the only other option is taxi. I only stayed three nights, and if I have been staying longer I might have thought about hiring a car or just booking (via Booking.com or a local driver) regular taxis. If the hotel can find a better way to allow guests to be mobile I think this would be less frustrating for guests.

I liked everything at this hotel. The room was clean and looked like the same as the pictures on Booking, food was delicious. I’d like to highlight the staff. They were super friendly, smiling and helpful. Although I arrived in the hotel 2 days later than the date I booked for, they didn’t cancel my reservation and also, on my first day in Ubud they provided a free shuttle to the Ubud centre as I was the only one using hotel transport and didn’t have a local phone number to use Gojek or Grab to order a taxi. They cleaned the room every day and I liked their sustainability approach to the environment such as reusable glass water bottles.

The staff is amazing. 10 Pointe. For our very special needs the location is superb. For a typical Ubud visitor without private car / motorbike it might be not really convinient. Nearby is only Ruesters. A place for starlets and all these persons, want to spoiled with nothing than the illusion, to be impiortant or special. We cant recommend Ruesters, but there is nothing else really in reach from the hotel, if you are not mobile.

The food concept. Food Präsentation and menu less a bit of fine diniing, service and attitude and professionality is lovely but more Warung style. Anyway. Food is very tasty only the coffee is a disgrace. More authentic and lass fusion recommened. And sorry ro say - the recreation concept is very poor. The Spa is a loveless place, nö charme, no style and you will be disturbed by everything. Wrong location, poor concept.

First of all, hotel really met all of our expectations. The room had enough of daylight, it was spacious and clean. The bathroom is also pretty much big. The bed is really comfortable. We also enjoyed the view on the rice fields, palm trees and mountain. It is really relaxing. If we talk about the foods, the food that we ate at the hotel was really delicious (better than in some other restaurants that we tried and that had good reviews). What is more important, it was really fresh. Also, the breakfast is prepared when you order it, so you will be served with fresh breakfast. We also took the massage for couples which was relaxing and after which you have half hour of spa (definetly something to recommend for couples). The staff is very polite and will try to meet all of your requests. To wrap this up, one great experience.

Wadari is a beautiful hotel next to some peaceful rice fields. It is the most welcoming and friendly hotel we’ve ever stayed at. The chefs and staff were super helpful with our vegan diet and accommodated with kind gestures like swapping out eggs for tempeh and cooking separate vegan dishes for us when they were busy preparing a barbecue dinner for all the other hotel guests. And we can’t thank the front desk boy enough for helping us with the taxi ordering and trip suggestions. For folks who want to keep some distance from the busy Ubud city center, this hotel would be an excellent choice. If you are lucky, you might get to meet Bob, a lovely and playful dog from their neighbor’s house.

Relatively small hotel with nice pool and restaurant. Spa options were amazing, I enjoyed the massage very much. Room was very big and had everything needed. Safe water for drinking was provided everyday with possibility to refill the bottles upon request. Restaurant provided enough options for food and also drinks. Staff was ready to help with anything needed. Hotel also had shuttle service to central Ubud.

Location, it was far away from Ubud, there wasn’t many options for anything in walking distance. I walked to the supermarket one evening, it was close enough, but be prepared that there is no pavement, so you have to walk on the road. Some of the equipment was kinda worn out, still perfectly usable. It was almost impossible to get rid of humid smell in the room.

Wadari Resort is a beautiful and welcoming sanctuary, located close to Ubud while tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The staff made us feel welcome and like we were part of their family. The owner joined came and spoke with us during breakfast one morning and we got to learn about the origins of the resort, the challenges they've faced during and ongoing with COVID, and his values... he's kept all staff on despite having to close for two years after only being open one!! You can tell the staff love to be there and are proud of the accommodation and service they offer. All of the rooms and facilities including the pool are very clean, tidy, well maintained and excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and the balconies were genuinely private with wonderful views of the rice paddies and as far as My Batur. The food is beautifully prepared and delicious and the setting of the restaurant is intimate right on the paddies and next to the pool, so a lovely place to dine. The bamboo architecture makes it really special. We ate breakfast there every day of our five-night stay and dinner twice (were out and about the other nights). We highly recommend to others and will happily return ourselves. We would recommend hiring a scooter to make the most of what the region has on offer - we hired from Bali Motion - see my other review.

My wife and I spent the first 2 days of our 9 day Bali vacation in Kuta which was.an extremely fast paced lifestyle. When we stayed at the Wadari Ubud Retreat for the rest of our trip, it felt like staying with our family in the country. A secure and secluded spot with a staff that never hesitated to anticipate our needs. Food quality was extraordinary that accommodated our tastes, but also the Vegan part of our crew. Fantastic value for the cost. Highly recommended.

The hotel chef is exceptionally skilled. The food was excellent and the menu had a large variety of delicious dishes to try. Sometimes there were days with even more special foods to try which was amazing. The hotel looks beautiful and the excellent location provides fantastic views of the rice terraces. The staff were wonderful. Special thanks to Dita and Gede for being so attentive and welcoming to us. They even kept our luggage for us when we went on a short trip to Nusa Penida. Sometimes during breakfast, we had the pleasure of speaking with the owner himself who invited us to hotel events such as Jazz night and Barbecue evening. As the cherry on top, the hotel also has a fantastic spa which we absolutely loved.

We loved everything about the property: - The staff were incredible, especially Dita who was was lovely - The owner introduced himself and talked about his plans for the future, as well as how he handled COVID with the staff (which was amazing to hear that he kept them on during the tough times) - The location is perfect for a quiet escape from Ubud centre; just 10 minutes on the motorbike for easy access to all the restaurants - The resort itself is stunning; the pool, room, dining area and spa were all beautifully presented and well taken care of - We would come back again in a heartbeat, with nothing to fault!
