Nice family friendly pool and grounds. Breakfast was fine. Really good location. Bed very comfortable.

The spa staff were not good. One seemingly untrained masseur did random hand movements on my back then massaged one shoulder twice but forgot the other. Lunch food just OK, evening buffet was terrible, very limited choice and mediocre quality. Afternoon tea at Level lounge also limited choices and mediocre quality. Staff haphazard, often had to open and close our own taxi doors. Some reception staff very helpful, others less so. Housekeeping really good and helpful though. If you just want to sleep, ear breakfast and go out, no problem, but being unwell we spent more time in the hotel and disappointed by overall experience.

Breakfast has many choices of food and desserts. The bed is cozy and quiet.

Tap water was not clean.

The experience was good overall. There are a few things such as the musician on the street playing music since 7am, or at 5am the first pray in the morning which you can here from the street but there is nothing the hotel can do about it, it is something cultural you need to accept/understand if you come to visit their country. The staff was very nice, all of them. Very polite, friendly and helpful. The bed comfortable and the breakfast was fine. I missed some more continental food but as I said above, it is another culture with diferente traditions. I would say that for me, there are some things in the room that are sort of neglected (walls, taps with lime, etc.) for a 5 starts hotel, however, the other facilities such the garden/swimming pool area, the lobby, the bar and restaurante, that it doesn’t a 5 stars hotel room but the lobby, are very nice and beautiful areas.

We stayed for 2 nights in their Level junior suite. The room is spacious with lots of natural light. We loved having the bedroom separate on the loft, and it’s great to have the half-bath with double sinks. We liked that the room is on the same level as the lounge. Location is super strategic; easy access to Malioboro and Alun-alun. We loved the food at El Patio; their local dishes tasted quite authentic and well-priced for a property like this. We also loved that our child can play on the playground while waiting for our meals.

I feel that the lounge could have had more/better selections for their afternoon tea. Breakfast at El Patio was good; but service could definitely have been better.

The room was nice on the executive level. Appreciated the desert on arrival and plenty of bottled water

At breakfast the glasses are so hot that when you pour water it becomes a warm glass of water. I could here the sounds of the street from the room. At times it was too much. And some other general things like being served warm beer with a warm glass, service as a single dinner took forever and often needed to go up and order. Lack of general concessions to pick up drinks or other things a traveler might need or want.

Me and my family really love the hotels. All the facilities, dish, cleanliness, and particularly the services and smiles given by the staffs. We stayed at the Level with two floor setting. It was fabulous. We had mountain view in our window and we have executive lounge just outside our doorstep. The staffs were very responsive and fast in handling all our request. Melia provided us 6 drinking water in glass bottle instead of only 2 single-use plastic water bottles that usually provided by other hotels. The meals was extraordinary with plenty of options. and they have no problems in servings guests during the peak season like Christmas & new year.

The design of this hotel from the outside need a little bit renovation, so it doesn't look like an old hotel cos the inside part is actually really good. Besides that, the locations is in the city central, just a walk distance from Malioboro. If its not in peak season it would had been great, but because we went there in peak season, it took us very long just to go the hotel. traffic jam is every where around the hotel.

Breakfast was always adequate, staff were very friendly, place is close to the malioboro street, so was an added advantage. Could not use the SPA due to timing, but it looked good. Staff is over accomodating to take care of guests. 5+* for staff behavior.

Hotel could do a little better with more english speaking staff considering most of people staying in hotel were foreign tourists. However the one's who could speak english balanced it and the service was excellent

The room is spacious, clean, bed is comfortable. However, when we entered the room we can smell strong cigarettes, I am sure it's from the previous guesses. we know it's smoke free room but some people might be smoking cigarettes inside the room during their stay.

The price of a small cup of warm milk from the cafe in the lobby was Rp 48 000. Too expensive. The collection point for Gofood delivery is too far, should be closer.

We were on family holiday, and stayed in Family Suite was a good choice. The hotel location is on the spot, and easy access to Malioboro. . The Suite were big, clean, and fully equipped. The service are amazing, starting from Receptionist - Ms. Ratna, The Concierge team, Spa Therapist - Ms. Tuti, Chambermaid - Ms. Muji, Ms. Rindu, The Reservations team who always answer my query in timely manner and Mr. Ardi (wear grey uniform) who always greet me every morning, before or after the breakfast 😉.. Thank you for the exceptional service and hospitality. Overall, we had fantastic experience in Melia and we made a great choice by choosing Melia for our vacation.

During breakfast, it will be great if the server checked the cleanliness at buffet area, not only for refilling. Often we saw, buffet section were dirty, spills everywhere. And few guest took the food, not using utensils, but with hand even they wore handgloves. Please pay attentions for some guest who seems didnt pay attention on the food hygiene and ignore the health protocols. The pools area - It's too crowded with kids running everywhere. We didn't enjoy our time in the pool area. The Level Lounge afternoon tea is average, the afternoon tea will be better if you served with afternoon tea stand, (2 or 3 tier tableware for high afternoon tea). However, the service was amazing.

Despite the size of the hotel, the friendly staff provided a very personal touch, the restaurant was excellent, the beautiful inner garden and centrally located pool in Yogyakarta were highlights, and the peaceful and spacious rooms made you oblivious to the city bustle. Excellent facilities, like a gym and wellness and internally travel desk services for day trips or longer travel tours like Bromo and Kawa Ijen. We would recommend this hotel!
