The breakfast was exceptional. The host was wonderfully helpful, full of tips on where to eat and what to see. She bent over backward to make our stay memorable, comfortable and easy. There is a lounge room with great views and comfortable seats and couches where we could relax and read with views out the window of the lovely grounds and the beautiful scenery of the Dingle Peninsula.
Nothing. We loved this place! If i had to reach for something, the location a mile and a half outside of Dingle in the beautiful countryside meant we needed a ride or a taxi if we were going to drink alcoholic beverages in Dingle, as the road has no sidewalks and would be dangerous in the dark. Taxis were easily available for us. It wasn't an issue.

The B&B was located away from the bustle of Dingle with a wonderful rural country view which was very pleasant. We were lucky to have that view from our room. The breakfast was great, with a selection of warm foods from the menu and "cold" foods like cereal, fruit, and yogurt set out for self service. The room was comfortable and as my husband said, "definitely decorated by a woman." Hahaha. It was beautiful, romantic, and homey. The bed was a bit too bouncy for my liking, but it was certainly just fine and comfortable. The blackout curtains helped us to sleep in past the early sunrise. Parking was on-site and easy. The staff were very friendly, but also gave us our space. Definitely a pleasant stay.
At one point we could clearly hear the telephone conversation the woman in the room across the hall was having. So the walls/doors aren't as soundproof as you might find in a hotel. But as long as the guests are polite and respectful, noise should not be an issue. Definitely a quiet, peaceful place.

The Short Strand B&B in Dingle was an absolutely lovely spot with breathtaking views, very comfy beds, and an exceptional host Kathleen! She actually offered us a ride into town and would not take anything for it. So sweet of her. She gave us great reccommendations and dropped us off in front of "Bob Griffins Bar" in the heart of this lovely seaside village, which had a great bartender Owen and some fun traditional music. To top off our stay, Kathleen's breakfast was superb!!! The best we had in our 2 weeks around Ireland! Well done Kathleen : )

Excellent accommodation, friendly host who was very easy to work with and a delicious breakfast the next morning made this stay very satisfying. Short drive to the center of Dingle and your launching point for Slea Head Drive, which is at least as good, if not better, than the Ring of Kerry. We weren't exactly sure when we were going to arrive, but we communicated through the Booking app and our host was very gracious. This was a winner!
Everything was great!

Great location just outside Dingle with a lovely view across the valley. Breakfast was delicious and provided gluten free. The GF bread was toasted in toasting bags - big thank you from myself who is coeliac. Kathleen was lovely and very welcoming.
We were given a room that contained an extra single bed. That meant floor space was minimal (could hardly fit suitcases on the floor) so felt cramped and we didn't have anywhere to sit to use a computer (apart from on the bed). It was also quite noisy. Not quite sure - maybe the hot water system or furnace for the house starting up at very regular intervals.

The view from our room was magical! The breakfast was delicious with various options and a small fruit and yogurt bar. The B&B was a very short drive into town, making out trip carefree and easy.
There was nothing we didn't like! Only one small issue, the size of the bed. But that's not the fault of the B&B but my 6'5" tall husband who doesn't fit on a queen or double bed. So keep that in mind!

What a wonderful place. My room was spectacular - large and well appointed. Extremely comfortable pillows. Beautiful view from the windows. The shower was the best I had on my trip. I wish I had been hungrier in the mornings (jet lag), but what I did have was made to order and DELICIOUS, especially the bacon (crispy round the edges, mmm). Short drive to Dingle, and sometimes I wished I had stayed in town so I could walk home from pubs, but overall I am incredibly glad I stayed here. The staff were so kind, especially when my car battery died and I had to wait for a jump - I had already checked out but they let me wait in the sitting room, and kept popping in to make sure I was okay. I would gladly return!
I struggled a little with the toilet as a clueless American - it wants more time between flushes. Once I figured that out, we got on just fine. The kitchen is locked up after breakfast, which makes sense but I would enjoy a place to fill up water.

Kathleen was an excellent host, the breakfast was delicious with a variety of options to choose from, loved waking up and having a fresh hot meal to get the day started, while also admiring a wonderful view from the breakfast room. She was able to fulfil our request of a double bed by proving us a family room. The bed was large and comfortable, and the shower was nice and hot. It was extremely close to Dingle, easy if you have a car to drive. Kathleen offered different suggestions for food in the area, as well as let us know what was happening in and around Dingle. Excellent place to stay, would highly recommend.

The property was meticulous and beautiful. The room was big and welcoming and had windows that opened for cool air. The bedding was nice and fluffy. The bathroom had a window to let cool air in and warm shower air out plus there were nice little extra toiletries provided. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious!
One thing I would consider as the host is to place a screen in the window in the bedroom. I don't know if it happens regularly but there were lil bugs that came in as a result of having the window open. Which we really enjoyed having come into the room.

This B&B provided a reasonable sized bedroom with all modern facilities required. The property was located in the countryside in pleasant surroundings. The property is located a short distance out of Dingle and a car is required to access the town. Breakfast was excellent. Owner was helpful with tourist information.
The property would be improved if there was a common lounge/sitting room.
