The room was large and very comfortable. The location is great, just minutes from the centre. The staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was ok. My son had pancakes which were ok but small and not as described on the menu missing Nutella. I had the "bla" with sausage, bacon and egg. It was nice but the sausage was very oily and probably not good for my health. We paid about 175 Euro a night for the room which is very pricey for a 3 star hotel with no swimming pool.

Very pleasant hotel in a great waterfront location in the town centre. . The staff were welcoming and very helpful, and the room comfortable, clean and quiet. I will definitely stay again if I can whenever I visit Waterford.

Car parking facilities. There was a long term a short term car park across from the hotel privately owned. I rang reception the lady wasn't at all helpful. Said we don't provide parking go and park in the long term car park.so we booked our car parking ticket on line for 3 days 15 odd euro, happy days. The next day we went to get our car and couldn't get out without paying 12.50.It was the short term car park we should have been in for 3 days . They don't give enough information on there website. If we had left the car there for 3 days,it would have cost a pretty penny. We also meet a couple who had booked there stay in the same hotel but on arrival cancelled because of the confusion about parking .

A wonderful bell hop helped us with our bags and breakfast the next morning was great. Loved the fan being in the room as we got there as well.

My twin bed mattress was leaning pretty badly on one corner so that I had to sleep on the other edge. They also don't have parking available (although was pretty easy to reserve a spot in the parking lot across the street), but that also meant we had to park in the street in front of the hotel (blocking traffic) in order to get our bags out of the car and put them onto the sidewalk. Also, the only luggage cart was apparently being used by a wedding party in the restaurant and was unavailable to us.

On our arrival both myself and my sister received an extremely warm welcome the reception staff were very patient as I couldn't get my card to work! We had probably the best room on the floor that we were on as we were tucked away in the corner and despite there being live music on we didn't hear much noise. The staff in the bar were very nice especially Rachel who worked the night shift and had to deal with my very loud aunties...! The waiting staff for breakfast were exceptional and were very courteous and friendly, and always busy we didn't see anyone just standing around and chatting, nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing. Housekeeping always saw to it that our room was tidy, the beds were made and that we had enough toilet roll (always important when you go away). We found Dooley's Hotel very last minute and I am glad that we did we would both stay again and would recommend a stay here to anyone who is visiting Waterford.

The only thing that we could say was that there was not a lot of vegetarian food on the bar or main menu - my sister is veggie - so we didn't eat in the restaurant as there was not a great deal of choice for her. I am disappointed as I would have liked to have had a meal and am far less fussy than my sister..!

The staff were absolutely lovely and very well mannered. We brought our son here and the girl that served us was so kind to him and gave him options of some food for him to choose. It wasn't loud or anything. Room was spotless!! It had a great scent walking in. Beds were massive! Dinners were amazing too! Very fresh and service was great too. Definitely coming back! The receptionists were very polite and very helpful!

There were no menus in the room, or breakfast list for the door! You had to order your breakfast the night before which is unusual. The pillows on the beds were too hard, but the overall bed was okay. Very very hot hotel, very warm at night even with the fan on

I liked that the rooms were very spacious and that there was an oscillating fan, which made a room without air conditioning quite comfortable. The street noise was minimal, even with the windows open, and the shower had a curtain rather than one of the glass half-doors that lets water get all over the floor and everything else in the bathroom. There were more than enough towels (and they were big enough to actually wrap around the body rather than an oversized hand towel) and the water pressure was surprisingly good. Toward the tail end of our trip to Ireland, I had a more comfortable stay than at most other places we stayed. The bed was very comfortable. Staff at the bar downstairs were great--even got me a hamburger when it was not included on the Sunday menu. Food at the bar was a bit pricey for what it was, but still a good option after a day of traveling. Curry restaurant next door--not so much. Right across the street from the bus station and just a few minutes walk from the train station. Not far from Viking triangle or the (small) shopping area.

There was no safe in the room, which I like to have when we are traveling internationally. Several of the electrical outlets were behind the bed, so we couldn't use them. It was nice, however, that there was an outlet specifically designated for American laptops and a USB charger for phones. Do beware that you *cannot* book a family room if you have children over 12. This caused us to have to book an extra room on arrival but, despite the annoyance and cost, turned out for the best for everyone.

The Reception, on arrival, was fast, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and served by a thoughtful and responsive team. The room was lovely, spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and supplies were available in the room. The en-suite was a modern wetroom style, which I liked. The hotel is also very close to everything the town has to offer.

The elevator could be busy and slow at peak times like meals and bedtime. I often resorted to the stairwell, which is fine for the four-floor height of the hotel. We could all do with the extra steps and bodyweight training, especially after breakfast :-) We tended to leave the lift for the elders and kid-laden families. I've been kid-laden in the past, and being an elder ain't that far away.

Kumar was amazing on reception. If every hotel had a Kumar greeting the guests when they walked in they would be blessed. He was just brilliant. He was a bright and happy person, lot of fun. I would come back just to meet him. At breakfast we had Roseana who attended to our every need. She was such a lovely attentive lady and couldn't do enough for us. The location of the hotel was perfect. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was great. Really enjoyed our stay One night was not enough

The teapots at breakfast are way too heavy. Both my Mum aged 81 amd I struggled to lift the teapot even the small one. Way to heavy for elderly and for those whos hands are sore with arthritis.
