We really enjoyed our stay at the kibbutz. The hotel is located within the kibbutz, which is an experience in itself. Within the kibbutz there are a number of facilities like a pool, a spa, and a number of restaurants and bars. Not all of these facilities are part of the hotel but can all be accessed by the guests. Location is great, just a few minutes drive away from the Ein Gedi national reserve, and about 20 minutes to a nice beach by the Dead Sea and Masada. We enjoyed the spa, which also has a pool with Dead Sea water, an outdoor pool, and complimentary tea. Breakfast was great - Israeli style with a huge variety of food options. We enjoyed dining at night outdoor under the baobab trees.

We would have liked to receive more information about the other restaurants and facilities available within the kibbutz.

Absolutely gorgeous location. We had a balcony overlooking the 'fault cliffs' of the Judean desert, with a glimpse of the dead sea as well. It was just magical. The room was bright and airy, lovely comfy beds, very clean. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was generous and varied (as one expects at good Israeli hotels!) The hotel has wonderful grounds with unusual trees planted everywhere, and ibexes visiting from the surrounding desert. We didn't want to leave!

Not a problem for us, but our room was only accessible by a flight of stairs, and the place itself is hilly- you'd need to walk up a steep hill to get breakfast. People with accessibility issues might struggle.

The room with balcony was comfortable, clean, well-furnished with small fridge and coffee making station. The bathroom was beautiful with walk-in shower as well a tub. Nice fluffy white towels and bathrobe. I loved being able to go for lots of walks, and was able to enjoy the spa a couple of times including treatments. Especially enjoyable was a walk and tour of the botanical gardens with one of the Kibbutz members. I appreciated the assistance from the front desk staff in arranging a local driver to take me to several local archeological sites and national parks including Masada. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented as a buffet.

There was nothing I did not enjoy or appreciate! A couple of little suggestions: 1. Slippers could be provided in the rooms 2. The Baobob Bar & Cafe wait staff are quite young, really lovely and friendly, but appear to need some help with management. (ie promptly greeting guests, seating, giving menu, taking orders within at least 10 minutes of arrival, serving with the cutlery, clearing, promptly giving bill etc) 3. The Ein Gedi Kibbutz Hotel, is really designed for guests with a vehicle. I would recommend that there could be a bike rental program with possible biking day tours in the area. 4. The wine choices could be developed to include some of the finer wines from Israel's burgeoning winery scene.

This hotel is a lovely little oasis not far from Masada (about 5 minutes) and the Dead Sea. We loved the warmer climate in the south! Very easy to travel to other locations such as Beersheba, Ein Bocec, and others. The Ahava skin products factory is located at the base of the Kibbutz and offers decent discounts on their products, suffice to say, we stocked up! The hotel has everything you need if you'd just like to stay on the resort, which has a pool, dining area, etc. Overall, a good location and comfy room.

We ate at the Dining facility for evening but didn't return. It's not that the food wasn't good, in fact, quite the opposite - very tasty items and plenty of them. For us, coming from North America, we found it to be somewhat expensive. I was also disappointed with the cleanliness of the heat pump as it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. I raised the matter with the front desk and they did try to address it but it remained dirty.

We booked a deluxe room requesting a view. We had a large king size bed, a comfortable sofa, a very large bathroom and a balcony facing the entrance to Wadi Arugot. It was really lovely to relax on the balcony in the AM and PM. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. There was a huge selection of fresh fruit, veggies, salads, short order cook for eggs, cooked dishes including shakshuka (!), cereals, breads, yogurts and more. We chose to eat dinner at Ein Gedi kibbutz rather than driving to Ein Bokek for a meal at the mall. There was again, a huge selection of foods to please the vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. The Ein Gedi Botanical garden is so diverse with many exotic trees and plants. We really did not have time to use the spa or the swimming pools. Ein Gedi Kibbutz is quite close to several trails for hiking.

Did not like that we spent only one night in Ein Gedi Kibbutz.

Very comfortable room with a beautiful terrace. Very comfortable bed. We couldn’t watch You Tube on TV, but in the context of relaxation, I think it wasn’t needed so much. There was also a coffee machine with capsules in the room, which made us very happy.

A very beautiful area with various types of plants and flowers, information about which accompanies you at every step. A wonderful observation deck overlooking the Dead Sea. Ideal for watching the sunrise

The location and grounds were amazing. Wildlife, flowers, and views. Unsurpassed by any other place we've visited in Israel. The deluxe rooms are very nice, the regular rooms are dated and not nearly the same level of accommodation. Upgrade if you can!

The meals (buffet dinner/breakfast) were excellent on the weekend but starting Sunday night they were very minimal and extremely expensive: same price (about $50/person) but just a few generic items like hot dogs and basic salad. However, this is our only complaint.

The Ein Gedi Kibbutz sets on a hillside overlooking the Dead Sea. We stayed here because of the proximity to Masada and the Dead Sea, both of which we were able to enjoy from this place. The entry is gated and staffed, we were greeted warmly at the gate and the front desk. We checked in effortlessly and found our rooms easily. The grounds are very beautiful and well maintained. The pool area was a big attraction for me when booking this location and I was a little disappointed when I was informed that the pool closed at 5pm, with so much light left in the day! Nevertheless, I was able to enjoy the cool pool (it was April 2nd after all) for about 30 minutes before it closed. That night, we enjoyed wine on the porches looking out over the Dead Sea, very special. Dinner in the cafeteria was very high quality with many delicious choices but was also very expensive at $30 US per person with a discount and no VAT. Likely worth it and I'm not sure there are any alternatives - perhaps the market? Breakfast at the cafeteria was included in the room rate and was also amazing! Overall I will look forward to staying here again should I ever be lucky enough to return to Israel.

The pool closing at 5pm.

Breakfast and dinner were amazing. Great food even for vegetarians. The room was clean & quiet. I am happy the Kibbutz is so close to Nahal David since I love going in the waterfalls there.

Please please renovate your swimming pool so that there are gentle steps going down into the pool (like they have at the nearby Ein Gedi spa swimming pool)! It is very hard for older people to use the ladders at the side, and I dont wish to use the chair lift every time I want to go in and out of the water!
