The building is fantastic, the staff is nice in general, the swimming pool is great. The historic ambiance is unique. Tour on the roof is very nice.

Restaurant is only kosher. No meat. Bar closes early, sometimes does not open at all for some reason. No omelet on Sabbath. No omelet because "kitchen is in repair" (?). Showers are very, very out-dated and it is impossible to get a stabile temperature. Constant changes from heat to cold. Too many "special days" with restricted service. 90% of personnel is trainee and cannot answer the simplest question.

Check-in service was great, as was the room. The property is amazing.

The service in the restaurant (the one to the right of the reception area as you walk in) was awful. I had to ask over and over again for things like more water when my glass was empty. The food was good. Note that the service was terrible on both occasions when I ate in the restaurant.

Pretty much everything.

1. The cost of stay (like for most Israeli hotels this summer) was far too high. We would have stayed for 7 nights but only stayed for 2. 2. There was no buffet on Friday night. The meal at the Regency restaurant was sub-standard.

The pool was extraordinary! I believe it’s salt water and feels like it’s infused with minerals. you feel like you’ve had a spa treatment after swimming laps. The building is regal and the grounds are beautiful. Orly the manager was able be and beyond helpful and knowledgeable. the men working the door were professional , helpful and very entertaining.

the restaurant dishes were very disappointing and the service was uneven.

Beautiful view of the Old City from our room, magical at sunrise and at night. The breakfast was excellent and the bar and restaurants were also excellent. We particularly enjoyed our conversations with Yardena, the very knowledgeable sommelier. We had some great Israeli wines that she recommended for our taste. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the Old City and taxis are easily available for other jaunts.

Rooms, view, public areas, the overall level of the hotel are excellent. Balcony overlooking the ancient city has spectacular view. Tasty anв sumptuous breakfast. Particularly, I want to mention the excursion around the ancient city and the vicinity, which hotel provides to the guests for free. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, he is an archeologist by profession, and he showed us hidden places, which we would not discover ourselves, and told us so much new about the history of Jerusalem. This excursion was truly the highlight of the whole trip, although we thought we knew Jerusalem inside-out. Thank you for this!!!

Not all the balconies/terraces have umbrellas to protect from sun. It was quite impossible to enjoy the terrace during the daytime. The rooms are a bit overpriced.

great hotel and most of the staff is exceptional. I would simply recommend the younger staff especially in the restaurant focus more on the clientele than on private conversations.

Not a whole lot, great, historic and super place to stay in Jerusalem.

Location of hotel and view from our room over city walls was excellent. Lovely pool. Good food in dairy restaurant with attentive chef, and very pleasant live music.

Very dated bathroom. Breakfast was rather formal and had far fewer choices than other hotels we visited in Israel.

Hotel with a long history. You can find a lot of signatures in the lobby ground. Staff is proud to tell you the hotel history. Room services was good and nice.

Breakfast not many choice for Asian people. It was basically a cold meal. You might be tired of it if you stay for many days and have an Asian stomach.

the property is beautiful as an historical figure at the heart of Jerusalem.

The room - outdated with old furniture and sinister from 20 years ago. Check in - The check-in for the hotel is outdated too with a lot of paperwork and can take an hour or so until you check in to your room. Service - you don’t feel in a 5 star hotel. Some of the stuff without any attention to the guests. you enter from the entrance and the women who welcome you near the door is playing with her phone. It can take a while until they answering their phone for any service. the food is limited and you can’t take something from the bar to your room.
