The hotel is modern and sits on high floors with a good view, it provides access to a nice guest lounge. The room is spacious and well equipped with a small kitchen complete with washer & dryer. I have a stunning view of Mount Fuji from my room. The hotel building is situation right on top of Bashamichi subway station.

The immediate vicinity of the hotel is quiet without the convenient of many local shops or restaurants. But there is a nice supermarket right next to the building, and a 15 minutes walk will get you to shopping area with cafes & restaurants.

The location is great. This hotel is in the Minatomirai area, which is where most attractions lie. You can walk to some beautiful parks, museums, shops and views of the bay very easily. There is a metro station right outside, and another JR line station is 10 minutes away on foot. A great supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops can also easily be found in the first floor of the building. Speaking of which, this hotel has simply stunning views. It doesn't really matter which direction your room is facing. At 47 stories high (at least), looking outside your room feels awe-inducing. If you're lucky, you will get a nice view to Mount Fuji as well! I believe this may be the second tallest building in Yokohama, and it definitely is top 30 in the entire country at 250 meters high. The staff is great, lounge is really classy and placed right in the middle of an actual observation deck (underrated though, so not crowded at all). Rooms are super spacious for Japanese standards, and of excellent build quality. Room cleaning is thorough and suited to your schedule, at least in my experience. Bed is super comfortable, and the desk is great for working a bit in your laptop if you need to edit photos or send emails.

The couch was, comparatively speaking, not so great. Quite stiff. Nothing else than that comes to mind. Really, an amazing stay!

The location of this property is just amazing, it's walking distance to Sakuragicho station and nothing beats the convenience of having the minato mirai line just a few escalators down from this property itself. The staff are amazing, and the decor/amenities are top class.

This is a minor feedback, but more frequent cleaning would be another positive things to add here. The cleaning is twice a week, but you could always ask the front desk to help out

if you are looking to explore around Yokohama area, the location is excellent. I’m a local- born and raised in Yokohama, and as a former local Yokohama resident, I can recommend the location is great because 1. it’s the cleaner part of Yokohama, 2. close to everything, 3. the train takes you to Yokohama or Shibuya/ Ebisu area with no switching to different trains, 3. all the tourist destinations are well packed in this area. most of them are walking distance.

the property was amazing. clean and almost everything was state of the art. as a regular gym goer, the gym was spectacular. you can actually work out with weights and 5+ machines on each body part. cleaning staff is always in and out to make sure the equipment and machines are cleaned up. everything here was so clean, I didn’t want to leave. a few errors were made by the staff during my month long stay (very small- kept misspelling my name, failed to notice some changes of rules during my stay) and those errors stood out (in a good way I guess) only because everything else was perfect. I’ve stayed 5 other hotels during my stay in Japan, but this was by far the best one and it wasn’t the most expensive either. recommend!!

This was my second time staying at Oakwood Suites. Each time I stayed for about 2.5 weeks. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. The lobby/ entry was clean and smelled good. My room was immaculate, and the location was excellent. It was close to a grocery store, shopping, and the harbor. The hotel was very centrally located in Yokohoma. It felt very safe and secure.

There was nothing I did not like. I will always stay at this hotel when I come to Japan.

This apartment hotel is located more fun and spacious part of Yokohama than near Yokohama station where are nothing but shops and offices. Oakwood is right next to Bashamichi subway station. The building has a parking on the basement, and freeway is 3 mins away. A nice supermarket is right next to the building and opens long hours. The view of the bay from the suite is spectacular. It’s a nice feeling it has a balcony though you are not supposed to sit there.

They do room cleaning only twice a week. And no vacuum cleaner or floor cleaner was provided in the room. So I had to keep picking up my hair from the floor by hand. Trash bins were small so we had to ask them to come collect our trash between scheduled cleaning days. They supply new towels on request though.

We loved the layout of the room -- although I stayed at 4808 from the previous few days (May 6-10), but 4704 was closer to the elevator and the layout of the room was just as nice. We especially appreciated the Front Desk staff, all very willing to help assist us with our questions & requests. Really wonderful! Also, we love the washing machine in the room -- one of the reasons too why we chose an apartment hotel. Excellent! We also like the 46F restaurant, actually we decided to have lunch/dinner there quite a few nights as opposed to those restaurants on the First Floor.

Though almost all the staff were very friendly, there was one gentleman who showed a little arrogance in replying to my question -- not sure if it was because we were NOT Japanese. Anyway, the others and all about the hotel made up the difference.

Great location. Balcony with splendid view (Yokohama bay, Minato Mirai and wide views until Tokyo and a few days Mt Fuji - needs to be good weather for that). Spacious room (size is as advertised). Kitchen is well maintained and has sufficient equipment, you can really cook and we did. Good beds. Good TV with Netflix (you have to login yourself). Soundbar connected to TV but you can also connect it with BlueTooth e.g. for streaming music like Spotify). Bathroom is ok. Good sound isolation. We did not hear our neighbors even though the rooms were occupied. Washing machine with drying function. To our surprise, the receptionist spoke Dutch (our (and her) mother language). All staff is very friendly. Lounge on 46th floor helped us through the day we left (which had really bad weather, while the rest of the stay we had good weather). Also a nice place to gather with other people (e.g if you are a group spread over multiple rooms ).

Bathroom has a great shower but no bath. Given the total number of square meter of the room, you would think that would have been possible. No place to have a decent breakfast before 10AM. It's all closed. Even the supermarket at 1st floor opens only at 9AM. Make sure your fridge is filled the day before (shops are open late hours) and make your own breakfast, you really have every equipment you can think of. Or wake up late :-) Or have breakfast on the road. (most stations have coffee shops). Table to eat is small and you sit in the coach. But it's cozy and it works.

Awesome gym; My husband used the gym everyday and couldn’t believe the amount of high quality machines and weights available. The staff was also very accommodating and nice; Balcony doors in the living room and bedroom. It is rare to have a balcony at a hotel in Japan. It was nice to be able to open the balcony doors up in the morning and evening. Our bay view room had an amazing sunrise. I have never seen anything like it. It was actually quite mesmerizing. The lobby had a very cool view of snow capped Mt Fuji. It really is incredible how close Fuji-San appears when you are that high up. The Nespresso machine in the room was a nice touch. The lounge has a pretty cool Nespresso machine as well. It was nice having the Lincos grocery store downstairs.

Convenient location to cruise terminal and everything we wanted to do. Outstanding staff. good restaurant available on lobby level and grocery on ground level of building. Great room features including kitchen, bathroom facilities and bed.

The taxi taking us to the hotel was not familiar with the location and did not use the sub level entrance. He let us off on the street, but the staff were wonderful and took our luggage from there. Awkward start to be avoided by having good arrival instructions in Japanese.
