Good position for everything else. beautiful pools and surrounding areas, lobby and grounds lovely. good idea with room key on wrist band.

Not offering hot drinks at evening meal in the price. not offering water free. no nice toiletries in rooms, not 5* standard not 5* food at all, mostly cold, not enjoyable. too many unique areas with no one in. took over an hour to check in, using new system that no one was trained on. no explanation on anything when checked in on where things were, breakfast times, anything! no iron and ironing board in room water in room not replenished after day one air con poor

The hotel gardens and pools are magnificent. There are plenty of options where you could relax and many sunbeds. So you will always find a suitable sunbed near the pool you like. 2 or 3 of the pools are heated which is absolutely fabulous. There is every night a show or something and the bar is amazing and not expensive. So you can enjoy many drinks while watching the shows. Accessibility is built in all hotel facilities so perfect also for people using wheelchairs or for buggies.

The dinner buffet I didn't like very much. It would be good if you could eat the restaurants just by reservation. You get only 15% discount if you want to eat in the other restaurants. The gym is really good but in the afternoon there is only sometimes an instructor there. I think there should be always someone there during opening hours.

Only thing letting it down was the reception and front desk - they just were not that helpful. The service at the pool was great but under staffed. There were sections for different classes which was lame.

Very disappointed on the kids club - the majority of activities were indoor, in a very isolated room. The room has probably not been visited by any management reps lately, it has a peculiar smell and mainly plastic toys. It was a chaos each day, not all activities were respected according to the schedule (at least in the days when I stayed there with my kids), plus the staff could not oversee the kids properly, it was a chaos, with screams and fights. Only one staff member seemed to enjoy being around the kids, the others were just very bored. This is an assessment based on our previous experiences with other kids clubs.

One very small problem is the WIFI - I needed to do some work during my stay and the connection is a bit hit and miss.

The hotel is architecturally stunning, beautifully decorated and maintained ideally located near the beach and shopping. The room and bathroom were spacious and luxurious, could not be defaulted.

We had an unfortunate check-in experience where the receptionist attending us was very disrespectful and quite prejudiced (complete contrast to the people being checked in next to us i.e. required many more checks, did not make eye contact, pointed out that one restaurant would be a 40 EUR menu and recommended wed try the others instead??). Made an official complaint with their Guest Services who were lovely and understanding. For the price you pay per night, it is surprising you also have to pay extra to use the Spa. I understand if you charge outside guests but not being allowed to make use of the pool despite it being right by the room was quite strange.

Our room was excellent in quiet location with views over garden and small pools. We enjoyed sitting in the gardens with various areas in which to relax. The staff were very attentive.

The English food in the Gastro Alameda was lacking in choice and due to the length of the servery and the number of other guests trying to chose a meal, it became quite a challenge to select a meal. We were unable to dine in another restaurant and pay more, due to the tariff we were on. A great pity there was not more flexibility.

Amazing value for money for the facilities this hotel offers. Decent breakfast and very good dinner - if you ever stay here you should go for the half board option. Very solid evening entertainment with a lot of variety. Nice spa with a plethora of treatments that are priced very reasonably. Lots of pools and it was fairly easy to find a free sun bee although your mileage may vary. Generally recommend for a hassle free holiday especially if you don’t mind spending most of your stay at the hotel.

This is a typical resort hotel which is not going to be for everyone as it encourages you to have meals here and generally stay within the confines of the hotel. This makes it not suitable for people who generally prefer to go out a lot and not spend as much time in their hotel. One massive downside of the gym for me was that it wasn’t 24h which is bad for a supposedly 5* hotel. Also in my room there were barely any amenities and they didn’t even refill water whereas my friends who got randomly upgraded to a master suite got a lot of amenities and water coffee etc constantly refilled.

Good hotel with enormous lagoon pool. However, I was very disappointed that you have to pay an extra E40 for a 4 hour spa session. This is a 5 star hotel and you would think that one session would be included in the very high price that you pay to stay here - I was not impressed.
