The view from our room was stunning; looking over the cliff onto the beach below listening to crashing blue waves. The building was unique and the stairwell down to our room, while extremely narrow and spiralled, was a big novelty.

The shower in our suite/room overflowed through the entire bathroom and into the main bedroom area after the second use. Not sure why but it caused a mess. The breakfast meal was an additional €10/person which is a bit expensive considering a rather limited continental breakfast type of menu. However the croissants were fresh and the cappuccinos were good! The hotel is located about a 20 minute walk outside of town which is easy going down but it’ll all up hill to come back to the hotel. There are very few restaurants close by that are open and public transport from the hotel to town is challenging to get.

Highly highly recommended. I never write reviews, but this hotel needs mention. The owner of the hotel is amazing. Our car broke down about an hour from the hotel on the biggest holiday of the summer season. We were stranded and he helped us get a taxi and advised us on how to get a tow truck. He connected us with an amazing driver, Josy. The whole time we were waiting for the police, tow truck, and the taxi driver, the owner of the hotel kept checking in with us to make sure we were OK. The location is fabulous. If you go left out of the front door of the hotel and walk a few hundred feet there is the G. A. S. Pub. It has a beautiful rooftop bar and restaurant with good food. It is very close to the hotel. It is an easy quick walk down the hill to get into the center of Amalfi. Definitely buy a bus ticket to get back up the hill. There is a shop right across from the bus stop called TABACCHI. The bus ticket is 1.40 euro. When you get on the bus just tell the driver to stop at Hotel La Ninfa. And the room!!!! Wow!!!! We had the junior sweet and it was well priced. You will NEVER experience a room with this view, service, and location for the price. There is a nice breakfast every morning. You can have it delivered to your room or eat in the common area. This hotel is a must if going to Amalfi.

There was nothing to dislike. It was perfect.

Dramatic location by the sea. Great sunrise and moon views. Friendly service. Maurizio helped us in all guestions and extra services. Beach is 150 m down from the hotel. 500 steps down and up is a callenging experience!

Some buses are full of tourists. The best way move around is to use water buses from Amalfi to Salerno and Positano or hire your own taxi.

Marco and the La Ninfa team were excellent hosts with a very high attention to detail and hospitality. They went over and above to ensure we had a great stay preparing cocktails for us, providing towels, giving us advice on how to navigate the area, etc. The views from the hotel main area (dinning area) as well as from the rooms (we booked an ocean view) are to die for! The beach below is secluded and certainly helps if you want a less crowded experience. There is a public area where you pay nothing or there is the alternative of a beach club where you can also have drinks and food up until around 4pm. Breakfast at the hotel is simple but it does the trick for $€10 if you have a quick start. The location is great! It’s only a 10-15min walk to Amalfi, downhill. Or a 5 min bus ride. The bus stop is literally outside the hotel. Alternatively a taxi for 6 people with luggage to Amalfi charged us €25-30. You can easily go to other areas like the Positano-Sorrento corridor by bus.

It was not an issue for us in the group but there are plenty of steps everywhere. If you want to spend the day on the beach be prepared for at least 300 steps. It would be great to have some quick food options onsite or close by, especially dinner. It’s a bit tricky to understand the bus timetable and you’ll need to buy tickets in Amalfi as they don’t sell it on the bus/or at the hotel.

It was a magnificent million dollar view for the price. We didn’t realize it was so high up and because of our older age and my husband’s limited mobility we were unable to get to the beach. However, we were grateful to have spent such a lovely time there although it was too short. The room we had was the best view. I was speechless when I saw the coastline.

There were stairs going down to the room and also when entering the property. But then again it is Amalfi! I would suggest having a small desk and chair in the room instead of the ottoman.

property is situated in a beautiful part of Amalfi access to the beach right next to the hotel with public access and payed. the rooms were spacious and comfortable good bathroom facilities and a fridge. offered breakfast in the morning which you could choose the night before thought that was a great idea and priced well close to Amalfi and bus stops and staff were lovely and helpful.

not really the property but buses along the Amalfi are always so busy and the drivers don’t stop so we had to walk the whole way down

I was with my best friend in Hotel La Ninfa, and we’re still in shock what a view we had can’t explain with words , the room was giving such a cozy Greece+Italian vibe and the view really was a life changing!!! I was obsessed with the bathroom and the breakfast also was amazing after pasta and pizza fresh croissants and healthy breakfast was so good. Furthermore, I'm in love with stuff, can't wait to go again in the next summer!!!

We liked everything

Hotel La Ninfa was in a great location, only a short walk down to Amalfi, and the bus stop is right next to the property. The staff was very friendly, and our rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel offered delicious breakfast for a very reasonable price. Additionally, there was an exceptional view of the water from the main lobby and dining area. It was a great value for the price!!

If you are staying in the cheapest room, be prepared for the room to get a little stuffy and hot since there are no windows.

The location is good and close the Amalfi town centre. The buses pass by the road. Best of all is the stunning ocean view.

I wish there was hair conditioner offered in the bath room. The breakfast was lovely but a cooked option would be nice for a change when you stay for several days. Also we were offered to upgrade our room to the balcony room which we decided to pay extra for. It would have been a nice guest it’s to have been upgraded for free as the hotel was empty at the time/season we visited. The hot tub was nice to use but needs looking at due to some movement.
