Old charming building converted to a modern hotel. Killer view from the room! I got exactly the room pictured, and it was amazing! The room is clean, shower is modern and great, there is a fridge and a safe in the room, AC and extra fan do the job I keeping it comfortable. Breakfast is great, the best home-made croissant I’ve ever had! I felt very welcomed, and really enjoyed my visit! Highly recommended! Location is great, I could explore Pontone, walked down to Amalfi (about 45 minutes of a beautiful hike, but don’t do it at mid-day, do it before 10am), could walk to Scala and Ravello, but rented a scooter instead. Scooter parking is free in Pontone. There is also a direct bus to Amalfi if you have a luggage.

No issues - it’s the best. Highly recommend!

The first thing to note is the hospitality. Host Katya sent us all the information in advance and shared recommendations about interesting places in the area. We also requested a transfer and were met at the airport by a driver who comfortably took us to the place. Thanks to Katya our stay at the hotel was great. She is very attentive and responsive, always ready to help and make your stay in Italy the best experience possible. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfasts each morning could be customised to our wishes. The location of the hotel is ideal, you can walk to the beach and Amalfi town or take a scooter. There is a lovely bar near the hotel where you can sit in the evening and enjoy the sunset.

Perhaps the bed and pillows could be more comfortable.

A bishopric from the 10th century, modernly furnished, very clean and pleasant. Katia, the property manager, is very kind and helpful, she does everything possible to make the guests feel good. She whitewashes the rooms every year and always adds something extra to the interior design. I had a beautiful room with a view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and something that made me feel like I was at a spa. I had the opportunity to choose breakfast every day from a list of products. It was nothing special, but definitely enough.

Amalfi was only a few km away, but the first bus was at 9 o'clock, and the only ferry from Amalfi to Ischia was at 8:25, so the island of Ischia remained for another vacation.

The view from the room was incredible, and the B&B is very clean. The bathroom also had a vanity kit which was awesome! Katia, who runs the B&B, is the loveliest person. She was so nice & friendly (let me check in an hour early), and when I forgot to put in my breakfast request for the second day, she still prepared my breakfast based on my previous day’s request which was really nice of her. Despite being a little bit painful to get to, I would highly recommend anyone staying on the Amalfi coast stay with Katia! The property is amazing & Katia will make you feel right at home.

I didn’t initially realize how much far up it was from Amalfi (900+ stairs), so just keep that in mind. There is a bus but it’s not super frequent.

Our experience at L’Antico Episcopio was amazing. The owner, Katia is an amazing human being and she explained everything to us, from the bus intinerary to how to get by foot anywhere we needed, she was very kind and ready to help everytime. The location is in Pontone, a beautiful city above the Amalfi coast. Our room had an amazing seaside view. The room was perfectly cleaned, we had everything we needed and it was really nice to stay there. The breakfast was delicious and freshly made. It is the perfect location if you are travelling all day around and you don’t need to go to the often ( it’s 1,5km by walk from Amalfi but only stairs, and the buses come in 1-3 hours, depending on the day/period).

Maybe the fact that the bus schedule is not that often and it can be a bit hard to reach the location because you depend on the local transport ( you also have the privat taxis but they take around 40€), or you can climb the stairs to reach the location.

I loved staying here. It’s such a cool hotel with an amazing view. You’re also out of the hustle and bustle of Amalfi which is lovely and peaceful. Katia is so kind and gave me heaps of information about the area. Breakfast was included which was a massive bonus. Also felt super safe as a solo female traveler.

The buses are infrequent but you can also just walk up/down to the next bus stop - you just have to plan your day in advance. There are a few stairs to get up to the property but to be expected on the Amalfi coast!

Katia is the nicest person I have ever met. She did everything to make me feel as good as possible. She lives in Amalfi and gave detailed and practical advice every day. The room was very clean with mesmerizing view in a historical place. I went to the Ravello on foot although I am not a sportman. The breakfast was varieted, delicious with perfect cappuccino. I think it was the best vacation of my life. Grazie :)

Katia is an amazing host! She is kind and friendly. She provided detailed information about how to get to the hotel before our arrival making it a smooth process. She was also super helpful to give us suggestions on what to see and do in the Amalfi coast. The property is beautiful, located at the top of a hill of Pontone, with amazing views. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent with many options, including fresh juice, yoghurt, sweet and savory croissant baked every morning. Omelette and eggs were also available upon request for a fee.

Getting to the property can be tricky. There’s stairs directly to Amalfi but they are not for everyone. It will take approximately 30 minutes downwards and 60 minutes upwards. Alternatively, there is a bus stop nearby. However, due to an accident in a nearby city, the normal bus lines were out of operation. Therefore, we had a limited number of buses going and coming back from Amalfi, which made staying in town past 8pm very inconvenient.

Loved every moment and every bit of our stay here!! Katia was the best host - genuinely cared about her guests and made sure our stay was enjoyable, giving us lots of local tips during our stay. Starting off each day with a yummy breakfast! Staying out of Amalfi was nice and relaxed, and our room had a great view of the ocean.
