This is the place to stay at, if you are visiting the northern Sicilian coast around Palermo and you want to stay away from the crowded streets of the big city. We stayed here in July and it was an amazing experience. The host was very friendly, accommodating to our every need and gave us quite a few inside tips on what to do/what to see along the coast line. The apartment was clean, comfortable and only a 3-5 minute walk away from the beach and the town centre. The breakfast is also amazing, with different Sicilian pastries available every day. Want to rent a car or do a catamaran tour? The host has got you covered. We had a great time and would for sure visit again! 10/10 would recommend!

The property is in a great location and very clean. The facilities are good. More importantly, the owner Baigo, is the best! He helped us with everything - where to eat, what restaurants were good. And everybody knew him. He speaks perfect English.

Breakfast offers everything your heart desires and even a little more....this view of the sea. A good start to the day. Short walk to the centre. Thanks for all the interesting information. The B&B is only a 10 or 20 minute walk to two of Balestrates beaches and has plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms are airy and have good air-con and WiFi. Breakfast in the room upstairs overlooking the ocean was lovely. The owner was very accommodating - checked us in at midnight and took us to the airport. A great place to base yourself.

The road outside the hotel is very busy and noisy. It didn't keep us up too much though as the hotel as good glazing and shutters.

the best feature was the kindness - courteous attitude of the host. He was present continually to help or advise in in whatever need. The room was always kept clean and the bed most comfortable ….I felt as if I was staying with my relatives.

We stayed in Balestra for 1 week and I have to say that our stay there was great! Things I liked and I personally find important on my holiday: The B&B is located in a very central place. Restaurants and bars are at 5-10 min walk and so are two nice beaches. The train station is also 10 min on foot. Right next to the B&B there is a small place with awesome typical products where you can get amazing “panini” with high quality Italian salumi and formaggi for a note than good price - perfect snack, to take with you to the beach! Even if the B&B is located on one of the main streets of Balestrate, finding a parking was not a problem. Many times we even found a parking right outside the B&B. Our room was extremely clean and sheets and towels where changed on a regular basis. The bed was very comfortable as well and the room very quiet. The breakfast was also good especially if you are a person that loves eating sweet things for breakfast! Every day there were fresh croissants and sometimes even cannoli siciliani. Oh and not to forget, the coffee was vety good! Our host was more than nice. He is a very friendly and pleasant person. He gave us great recommendations on places we should see and go to - always available and helpful. We appreciated so much that even if the breakfast was until 10, some of the days in which we woke up later he left the breakfast there for us. He was also very nice to give us a ride to the train station and we did not have to walk with our heavy luggages with 35 degrees outside! To sum up I would totally recommend Balestra to anyone that decides to stay in that area. I believe the value for money is more than fair!

If I think about it there is nothing I can say I didn’t like about Balestra. The only thing I can think of as a small change is adding some salty options for breakfast! But this is a totally personal preference. In Italy breakfast is exclusively sweet so to live the Italian experience a fully sweet breakfast is fair enough!
