Beautiful room & en suite in superb location on edge of old city. Sarah our host was so lovely. Google translate helped and she made sure we understood everything. Room was cleaned & towels replaced daily. Beautiful rooftop terrace to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening overlooking the harbour.

We were on top floor so there’s 50 plus steps to our room on narrow stairs & another 16 odd to the lovely roof terrace. Worth the trek !! Definitely not suited for anyone with any mobility or health problems. Having said that there was absolutely nothing to dislike about the property

We felt like we had stepped back in time to a magical era. People traveled so far to look at the trulli from outside in Alberobello but we were able to live inside one that had been restored to be comfortable for today with landscaped ancient grounds with paths and gardens and terraces that were beyond imagination.

It was not close to many things so a car was required, but once we figured out how to deal with the GPS, we were fine. The privacy of roaming around the outside of our terraces and gardens was amazing and every important touch had been added. Words cannot adequately describe how lovely this place is.

We absolutely loved our stay at San Nicola d'Amare. Our room was lovely and clean with an amazing view from our balcony. The view from the rooftop terrace was even better. We were greeted by the friendly owner who explained everything to us, including where to go for the included breakfast. The location was excellent with everything that we wanted to see in walking distance - not to mention access to so many restaurants and little shops. I would definitely stay at this lovely little place again.

We were on the upper floor, so I didn't love the stairs, but after a couple times, I got used to them. I was offered a room on a lower floor, but for me it was worth the climb for the view and I would do it again. The challenge was getting our luggage up and down. If you have mobility issues, you might want to book a room on a lower level.

Our hostess couldn't have been more accommodating. The B&B is in the old section of Bari, near the coast and typical of Italy, the B&B has been totally updated from an ancient building. Unfortunately, my wife and I (I'm 80) weren't able to handle the narrow stairs to a room on the 4th floor with a magnificent view. On short notice a room was made up for us on the ground level. Upon leaving, our hostess not only called a cab for us, but she also actually walked us to the pickup location.

Our ground floor room was dark and at times noisy.

Our host was lovely. She was very helpful and used Google translate to talk to us which was so sweet. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a communal roof terrace with ample furniture and views of the sea and the Basilica San Nicola.

It was a top of the building with very steep stairs and the last part a quirky spiral staircase. This would not be appropriate for less able travellers.

Loved the roof deck with its great view of the coast and late sunrise. Very clean, our hostess cleaned it daily. Amazing location! So fun to walk through Bari Vecchia. Close to a beautiful basilica, museums, a nice beach (15 minutes by bus) and many great restaurants.

3 floor walk-up on narrow marble stairs, but that’s to be expected with an older building as this. Just be aware.

Perfect place to stay and enjoy Bari and neigbourhoud. Localisation in the beautiful area, perfect for walking, sightseeing etc. You can feel the place, enjoy moments, calm down, hear ringing bells…

Bigger bathtube would be nice, but considering the fact that this is medivieal architecture You couldn’t ask for more

The room has't got a fridge. A fridge is upstairs ; need share another people. Breakfast only coffee & Croissant. No omlett ; no sandwich; or another option:(

Good location, very friendly personnel and very clean. Good breakfast in a Cafe across the street with great coffe and a croissant with flavor of choice. Really recommend you this place.

Be aware that you need to take few small stairs to enter the room and it is not a big room. All very logical in the old city.

It is located right in the heart of historical old town of Bari, we parked our hire car on the coastal road ( pay&display parking from 8:30 to 21:00) The room and bathroom both are spacious enough and it was spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breaksfast is served at nearby ( 30 second walk) every morning with lovely coffee, fresh orange juice and croissant. The view from the roof terrace is beautiful although we didn't have time to enjoy and relax at this stay. It is quiet, and very convenient location to explore the city of Bari.

None ( but if you have problem going up/down stairs, there is no lift, so you should ask for a ground floor room)
