This small hotel is located on a very quiet cobblestone street adjacent to a lovely river with a foot-bridge that connects two sides of Bormio. The views from our room to the mountains were lovely. Breakfast is provided and it is abundant. There is a room downstairs devoted to skis and or bicycles. They have their own parking area, which makes this an outstanding value. If you are considering a visit to Bormio I would highly recommend this place.

Location, everything is close by but still super quiet and safe area, there is parking available. Good breakfast. Friendly waitresses at the breakfast too!

Our room was quite compact, bathroom a bit out-dated, however very charming and warm atmosphere! Ski room was just a room, no private lockers with heaters.

The female owner (the boss lady). OMG I’ve never a more sour faced, unhelpful and unwelcoming person in any of the hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything you asked of her was a major chore or you felt that she looked at you as if you were something gooey on the bottom of your shoe. As a hostess she gets a -4. Honestly she is awful. Such a shame as the hotel is lovely. All the other staff were amazing. Couldn’t do enough for you. Would I recommend it? On the strength of the owner / bossy lady. Not a chance.

Staff, rooms and breakfasts are outstanding. Nice bike room very useful. We have stayed here three times over past 15 years. Recent upgrades to rooms and bathrooms are appreciated.

The hotel is in a pretty central location, which is great, but it can be a bit noisy (external noise, not from other guests) in the evenings. In the summer, with windows open there was quite a bit of street noise. This would not be an issue in winter. I would still highly recommend the hotel.

I like the location of this hotel, free parking right next to it, included breakfast. design is also nice. I think it is a good value for money.

one of the staff members seemed unhappy when you for example order a cappuccino for breakfast. Hotel doesnt allow drinking wine or having snacks in the room or allow them in the common areas.

Breakfast was very good with exception of servers who were dour, when you would like a cheerful person serving you first thing in the morning. Location was excellent for skiing, restaurants and shopping Very clean.

No space/room in washroom for toiletries. Very little space in room for clothes or luggage,

Excellent location in the old part of the city. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking and bike room included. Our room was a little on the small side however this is reflected in the cost of the room.

Comfy firm beds. Excellent location close to town and a 10 minute walk to the bubble lift. Excellent Breakfast, scrambled, boiled or fried eggs offered along with all the usual ham, cheese, croissants and so much more. Wonderful cakes at breakfast too. Room was compact but absolutely fine, cleaned every day. Hairdryer provided. Small mini bar fridge in the room. Giovanni the owner a gem and speaks English.

Shower in our room was very small. No tea making facilities. No do not disturb sign.

Lovely Charming family run hotel, with a lot of character. Very clean and a central location, near to many wonderful restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved everything about the Mueble Garni Della Contea and are contemplating how to comeback during ski season. We were able to check in at mid-day and enjoy a picnic lunch on our flower-covered balcony with its panaramic view of the ski area. Our room was very clean and a good size, and beautifully decorated. The store room in the lower level is set up to accomodate several bicycles or skis. Off the side of the reception is a very large room decorated in the traditional alpine style with lots of wood paneling and a large picture window to the ski slope. It is set up with a games area, reading area, small bar and very comfortable chairs and sofas for lounging. The breakfast was excellent with a large assortment of foods and situated in a very attractive alpine-style paneled room. The host and hostess are charming, but very busy.

Although the television had only italian channels, we were able to watch development in U.S. and world news on wi-fi from our phones.
