Positioned right on the water, this is a fantastic value for such a great location. My room was sparkling clean and it looked like the bathroom had been recently updated. The staff was so nice and eager to please.

The hotel was beautiful, so Italian with beautiful tiles and decor. The location was perfect with a gorgeous view onto Marina, a great place to people watch. Staff were exceptional, Nicolo was so kind and friendly, all the staff were, from cleaners to reception. The rooms were very comfortable and the bed was too. The breakfast was plentiful with the usual Italian cakes and sweet stuff but also eggs, toast and cold meats and fruit. It is situated beside some very lovely restaurants and cafes, with a 10 minute walk up some steep stairs to the centro storico where you'll find shops and more restaurants and bars and cafes. There are 15 rooms, and this allows a more personal touch from the staff.

The location was perfect for a relaxing break, the hotel staff were the best ! the cleaning ladies were excellent and cleaned the room daily to a high standard. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. would return to this hotel. The local restaurants are very good, we liked Luxor restaurant at the end of the harbour the food was very good and the staff were friendly.

The view of the marina was spectacular and the breakfast buffet was amazing, there was a big variety of many tipical sicilian dishes, sweet and savory. Great location, lots of restaurants, and each one that we ate at was delicious and it was all traditional local Sicilian food. The reception staff, especially Nicolò, was very pleasant, attentive and helpful in every way! This was the best hotel staff experience on our trip. Next time we come to Castellammare we’ll definitely stay at Cala Marina.

The parking situation was a little stressful, the hotel has private parking available (with a daily rate) but you you need to reserve a spot in advance and we didn’t know about that. We parked at a nearby parking lot and it was more expensive. That was the only negative experience on our trip. We’ll know better for the next time.

We spent 9 nights here and I can just say - this hotel is a real gem . It has perfect position in a port on the quieter side, the view from the terrace is beautiful, we enjoyed here our breakfast and evening Prosecco. The port is very lively place with many restaurants and so is the upper town- very lovely, ideal for staying in and travelling around west Sicily. The stuff is very kind and effective- the best I had ever met… and I mean every single person there, Nicola was the best, he even arranged private boat trip for us when everything was closed yet. Rooms are nicely decorated- Italian classic. We had room with partial sea view, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning- it was more private than the ones with direct sea view. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone who doesn’t need pool or 5 stars for vacation

Beautiful little hotel facing the harbour. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. Great choice of food for breakfast.

We booked a small double via Booking.com as that was the only option. The room was very small and there was a lack of storage space. Fine for a few days but we would have struggled if we had been there any longer. However, I believe there are bigger rooms available and if we returned there, we would definitely try to book one of these instead.

Lovely little hotel on the waterfront. Welcoming & friendly staff. The location of the hotel is close to some excellent restaurants & shops. The room we stayed in was very comfortable & we opted for a room with a balcony that looked onto the water. The interior decor of the hotel is lovely and kept immaculately clean.It was also very peaceful. The breakfast selection offered was excellent and included croissants, pastries, eggs, cereals, yoghurt,fruit , tea , coffee, etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would book here again.

It is essential to book a parking space in advance of staying at the property. There was a rather unpleasant smell of cooking oil or fried food permanently in the reception area. It is the first thing that one notices when entering the hotel. From time to time the front door was left open and this allowed the smell to dissipate. The smell was nowhere else in the hotel

I liked everything! It was the perfect place to be in Castellammare del Golfo! The place is Amazing and the location of the hotel is excellent. I loved the attention and wonderful disposition of all the staff. They were all very helpful and "troppo gentile". The reception people were Awesome and totally helpful at all times (Grazie mille in modo particolare a Nicolo' e Gabriella) Excellent breakfast, lovely people for breakfast, very well kept rooms, thank you Vita, all in all it was an exceptional stay xxx

Everything about Hotel Cala Marina was excellent and even better than expected from my extensive research. We had a sea-view superior room with a little balcony to sit out with a glass of wine and admire the beautiful harbour, which is directly adjacent. The best room in Castellamare I would think! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean with an enormous comfy bed. The staff were always available at reception and very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and varied, with both savoury and sweet options...good filter coffee on refill or order espresso/capuccino from the bar. I was concerned about the town's ZTL which limits traffic movement in the town (widespread now in Italy) and might have made access with the hire car up to the hotel difficult. In the event, our arrival in the April off-season meant the ZTL was not active and that was a great relief. I believe the hotel operate some sort of daily waiver for your vehicle in the high season, but this would need investigating. There was also plenty of free parking within 50m of the Hotel in April, but this might not be the case in high season. We have seen many parts of Sicily and Castellamare del Golfo ranks highly as a picturesque and interesting place to visit. From here to Palermo airport is less than 40 minutes by car
