The location was in an authentic part of Catania, 7 minutes walk from the centre. There is a beautiful church across the square and just around the corener the Castle Ursini. The Apartment was excellent - very high ceilings with frescos; airy, spacious; beautiful and ornate wooden doors; fantastic chandeliers. There were three main rooms, a study with writing desk, wooden shelving across the whole of one wall and chaise longue/reclining chair. The bedroom was next, again with lovely furnishings and chandelier. This leads into the dining room and kitchen, a complete facility for self-catering. The bathroom is narrow but entirely functional, with large sink and mirror. There are four balconies with shutters that effectively keep out the noise form outside and provide a lovely vantage point for watching life unfold. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and beauty of the apartment. I cannot compliment Luigi, the owner, highly enough for making our stay comfortable. Luigi is responsive to requests for help and even offered to frive us to the airport, which was greatly appreciated. I wholehearedly recommend Dimora Paterno del Grado to anyone wishing to enjoy a beautiful araprtment in the heart of Catania.

We had an amazing stay at Luigi’s and his wife’s place. Amazing is an understatement! It was perfect! If you want to feel like in a fairytale, to fall asleep under a Renaissance ceiling, to savor a morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the so vital bustle of the Sicilians - this is the perfect place! Words are not enough to express our gratitude that such places still exist, where you can feel the history, the beauty of times gone by. The apartment is equipped with all the necessary, you can see the care in every detail. Very clean, tidy. Luigi is very kind, accommodated and helped us with everything. Grazie di cuore!

This apartment is absolutely gorgeous, well decorated, with big spaces and plenty of light. It is also pristine clean and really comfortable. The location could not be better, central and close to all the main sites. Luigi and Perla were very helpful with advice and welcoming us to help with lugagge and parking. I would highly recommend it!

A tasteful and luxurious apartment that truly allowed us to appreciate Sicily's gorgeous architecture. Luigi and Petra's attention to detail was fantastic, with every amenity imaginable.

We didn't have any complaints at all. I was initially concerned about the lack of an elevator, but it wasn't a problem at all.

The design is first class and in excellent taste. This is a different kind of window into Sicilian culture. The host is very responsive and accomodating. The bed is really comfortable - i was sick for 3 days and rested really well here.

The only thing missing is music. Neither my phone nor laptop could fill the space… i wish i took a bluetooth speaker.

Absolutely exceptional place! We have travelled a lot, but this is truly a glorious aristocratic apartment, the tall decorated ceilings, the furniture, the artwork, it's all at a very high standard. What a privilege to have such an experience in Catania. Very gracious hosts, this was a perfect 10.

This is a historical building everything being very charming from entrance of the building to the interior. It is a huge space. The ceiling artwork is remarkable and makes you feel like you are sleeping at a palace. You have everything you need from a flat. The location of the flat is perfect! Great place for people who are looking for an authentic getaway in Catania.

A very stylish place, you can feel the atmosphere of the city. The apartment has everything you need. Very Sicilian decor with an interesting selection of furniture. Caring and very nice owner, great contact and care via WhatsApp. Impressed of that. Great location for exploring the city, remarkable proximity to most of Catania's attractions.

The place is a bit noisy because of the location. In the neighborhood you can hear a lot of buzzing from the street by most of the day and night, but for some, it may be the plus to feel the vibe of the Sicilian city bustle A little bit small bathroom. The bed could have a slightly better mattress.

The apartment is beautiful. the architecture and the interior is very elegant and spacious. The ceiling is very high and 2 of the rooms have murals on the ceiling. The bed is comfortable. Luigi was very helpful and gave great recommendations for where to eat and go for a dance.

It is a little noisy on the street, but nothing intolerable. Beware, the bathroom door is a little tricky to open from inside.

The property looks really nice cozy and clean although you had a feeling you had come to world of kings and queens. Hopefully we are getting back soon.
