The apartment is beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the room was cool thanks to the stone walls (if someone needs more cold, there is air-conditioning!). There was a small kitchen with wine glasses so we could finally open the bottle of wine we'd been carrying for some time... Although the place is very close to the centre (you can reach everything within 10 minutes walk), it is quiet. The owners are very kind and hospitable. The breakfast is served in a nearby cafe and you can choose from 4 options.

We had some difficulties finding the place, because the satnav was confused (and so were we) by the small, narrow one-way streets in the area, but Stephen, the host helped us by driving and parking our car from a nearby parking lot. Without him it would've been very difficult to park the car. I really missed a clothes horse or anything we could use to dry our swimsuits and towels...

The room was very beautiful and well equipped, location was beautiful, and, kind of random, and I’m aware this is a German person comment to make, but the toilet paper was extremely good quality. We liked the option of having a little gas stove in our room and the host was helping us with instructions with turning on the gas, too. Having a balcony, and the view from the balcony, were wonderful, too. The thing that was most exceptional, however was the host, he was very friendly and always eager to help, very prompt to respond to any messages and arranged for my partner to have a gluten free breakfast at the bar which was amazing (btw we really liked the option of having breakfast in the bar, it was delicious). Really amazing and exceptional !! On a kind of random note, I think Casa del Geko is just the coolest name and I really liked the little geko logo.

we liked the reception that Steven gave us. for a start! Our room was on the top floor and he carried our bags, he helped find a parking place and even parked the car. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast at the local cafe was good with fresh fruit and eggs and a chance to see locals and other tourists out and about. We wanted a small place in the old town and that is what we got. Parking space if limited but we didn't ever have to walk far. If ever we were to return to Cefalu we'd stat at Geko again.

I can't say there is anything 'I didn't like'. But some guests that don't speak Italian may have welcomed a TV channel in their own language; we didn't find an English-language channel.

Casa Geko is almost cave-like, with stone arches and lovely tiles decorating various surfaces. It is conveniently located near the main sites and the beach where we enjoyed lunch. Breakfast is served in a cafe on the pedestrian square. I decided recommend calling Steven when you arrive in Cephalo and letting him help you park as Casa Geko is in a narrow street and hard to find. Stephen is lovely. Recommended a fabulous restaurant for dinner. Casa Geko is for the traveler who wants something unique and cozy...not the business traveler. Lucky Marmon Chevy Chase, MD

Parking is hard, but doable

In the heart of old town Cefalu, yet in a peaceful, tranquil area, one finds this gem of a B and B. It offers spacious rooms, with a comforfable bed with crispy clean sheets, TV, kitchenette with pots and pans, tea/coffee tray, fridge, spacious bathroom with a good shower, a balcony with an awesome view plus the most handsom and friendly couple as hosts. What else could one want??🙂 And it is only 2 mins walk away from the centre and the beach. We fully recommend La Casa del Geko and we will surely revisit.

There was NOTHING we did not like. We just wished we stayed longer!

Very well situated, just off the main street of the old town-area and close to the beach. Super-helpful host! We had a small balcony with a nice view over the city. Instead of an in-house breakfast room, you get a breakfast voucher to a bar close by, with the options of a continental, Sicilian or Italian breakfast. It was a great start to the day, highly recommend!

Not a good choice for anyone with limited mobility or in a wheelchair since it's located a top of a hill with many, many cobble-stairs to climb.

I liked everything from the place that was situated to the room and contact with the owners. Even better in real than on the pictures. It's probably one of the most helpful hosts I have ever met while I am travelling, and I do travel a lot. Beautifuly clean room and put all in details with decoration to also the small cosmetics in the bathroom. I highly recommend this place!

Really kind and helpful hosts. Very warm:) They let us check-in early and leave our luggage with a spare key to take it when we needed a late checkout the next day. Recommended a great restaurant. Lovely decor in the room and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and a/c was excellent. The breakfast was delicious in a nearby cafe. It is also peaceful and quiet even though it is situated three minute walk from the cathedral. Beautiful view with a balcony.

Cutest little apartment with the most beautiful view. in a fabulous location. The service was fantastic too and we felt very looked after by Stephen and staff. Wish we had more time there!

Not so much as a dislike but an inconvenience to me as I had a luggage on wheels and no car but the apartments are located at the top of a very steep hill so was a very sweaty exercise for me to carry my bag up. Would definitely recommend using a backpack if you’re travelling here without a car

Breakfast was provided at a nearby restaurant and was very good. The room was a good size and there was a small balcony. The staff were very nice and helpful. Not in a very touristy part of Cefalu, which was also nice.

We were okay, but be aware there are quite a few stairs to climb inside and a bit of a hill to climb to get to the property.
