The apartment is beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the room was cool thanks to the stone walls (if someone needs more cold, there is air-conditioning!). There was a small kitchen with wine glasses so we could finally open the bottle of wine we'd been carrying for some time... Although the place is very close to the centre (you can reach everything within 10 minutes walk), it is quiet. The owners are very kind and hospitable. The breakfast is served in a nearby cafe and you can choose from 4 options.

We had some difficulties finding the place, because the satnav was confused (and so were we) by the small, narrow one-way streets in the area, but Stephen, the host helped us by driving and parking our car from a nearby parking lot. Without him it would've been very difficult to park the car. I really missed a clothes horse or anything we could use to dry our swimsuits and towels...

Convenient location for the beach - just a few minutes walk. The area is just outside of the main shopping/tourist streets so quiet but with easy access. Breakfast is a couple of minutes walk away in a local cafe and offers several choices. Stephen met us on arrival and reparked the car for us in a more convenient location. He was very friendly.

We found it difficult to navigate to the apartment and initially parked in the wrong road. Perhaps a map of the immediate area marked with where to head for would have helped.

The room was very beautiful and well equipped, location was beautiful, and, kind of random, and I’m aware this is a German person comment to make, but the toilet paper was extremely good quality. We liked the option of having a little gas stove in our room and the host was helping us with instructions with turning on the gas, too. Having a balcony, and the view from the balcony, were wonderful, too. The thing that was most exceptional, however was the host, he was very friendly and always eager to help, very prompt to respond to any messages and arranged for my partner to have a gluten free breakfast at the bar which was amazing (btw we really liked the option of having breakfast in the bar, it was delicious). Really amazing and exceptional !! On a kind of random note, I think Casa del Geko is just the coolest name and I really liked the little geko logo.

Stephen was very attentive and advised us where to find free street parking, though it is only for small cars. His place was lovely and comfortable. The room was nice and in a very convenient location. The choice of breakfast options at the cafe down the hill was excellent and varied.

Everything was fine for us, but not suitable for people with mobility issues or lots of luggage as you have to go uphill to the building and then inside there is a staircase only.

we liked the reception that Steven gave us. for a start! Our room was on the top floor and he carried our bags, he helped find a parking place and even parked the car. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Breakfast at the local cafe was good with fresh fruit and eggs and a chance to see locals and other tourists out and about. We wanted a small place in the old town and that is what we got. Parking space if limited but we didn't ever have to walk far. If ever we were to return to Cefalu we'd stat at Geko again.

I can't say there is anything 'I didn't like'. But some guests that don't speak Italian may have welcomed a TV channel in their own language; we didn't find an English-language channel.

Great location in Central Cefalù, on a quiet street. Stephen, the owner was very friendly and helpful, with our luggage and also in finding a place to park the car. Good choice of breakfast at a friendly local café.

Steep approach up cobbled steps and internal spiral staircase so not good for anyone who has mobility issues. Lowe water pressure meant the waterfall shower was ineffective.

Great location, we felt very welcome. Breakfast is served at the nearby cafe who were really friendly and the Sicilian breakfast and coffee was excellent. The main part of town is on the doorstep and you can walk 10 minutes to the beach for a morning swim.

The plugs are not standard Italian/European so our European adaptors didn't work. A Sicilian thing maybe? We got by by using the one for the kettle in the room.

Casa Geko is almost cave-like, with stone arches and lovely tiles decorating various surfaces. It is conveniently located near the main sites and the beach where we enjoyed lunch. Breakfast is served in a cafe on the pedestrian square. I decided recommend calling Steven when you arrive in Cephalo and letting him help you park as Casa Geko is in a narrow street and hard to find. Stephen is lovely. Recommended a fabulous restaurant for dinner. Casa Geko is for the traveler who wants something unique and cozy...not the business traveler. Lucky Marmon Chevy Chase, MD

Parking is hard, but doable

The B&B house is located almost in the center, 3 min walk. Town square with restaurants and Cefalu Cathedral 5 min walk. Nearby on the hill are the ruins of the old defensive castle and a great observation deck of the city.

Google navigation did not find directions to the B&B. I had to call the hosts and they came to meet me. Free car parking is not at the house but 500m away.

I liked everything from the place that was situated to the room and contact with the owners. Even better in real than on the pictures. It's probably one of the most helpful hosts I have ever met while I am travelling, and I do travel a lot. Beautifuly clean room and put all in details with decoration to also the small cosmetics in the bathroom. I highly recommend this place!
