The bedroom was super clean as well as the bathroom. Towels were cleaned if indicated which is great to reduce water consumption. Breakfast time was ideal, too. The location in the center of Colle and very close to the bus stop to go to Florence makes the hotel an ideal choice. Breakfast was good with the option to request for macchiato, capuccino or espresso.

Breakfast could add more fruits selection.

The host was very friendly and helpful and enthusiastically responded to all of our questions. The hotel staff made you feel like they really wanted you to be there. The breakfast was great and had a good variety of items. The room was very clean and the bed was firm and comfortable.

The hotel has several spots in an underground parking garage and it was a little hard getting my larger rental car in the narrow spot at times. But not a big deal. It might be good to send the location of the garage ahead of time prior to check-in.

The hotel has a special appeal, it used to be a paper mill and it still holds much of the old charm. It has a great location with a view of the old town, close to an intercity bus station, a perfect starting point for visiting the whole of Tuscany. If travelling by car, it offers a nice garage. The lovely breakfast and helpful staff add to the perfect experience in La Vecchia Cartiera.

The staff at La Vecchia Cartiera was very personable and made checking-in a pleasant experience. We arrived on a drizzly night and had had a slightly stressful drive. The person at the front desk oriented us and gave us a few easy to reach - walkable - suggestions for good dinners. The hotel is large, since it's in an old paper mill, but did not feel impersonal. Breakfast is included in the price, and it was fresh, including some local jams and good bread. Would have liked to spend more time exploring Colle di Val d'Elsa, as the town looked quite pretty.

Parking is a little hard to find in the town due to Limited Traffic Zones, but the property has underground spots available for a reasonable price. The sign with the hotel name on it could be a little bigger - we missed it the first time we drove by on the drizzly evening.

The breakfast was good, with a decent selection. The espresso was good. The bed was comfortable, there was hot water. The staff was very helpful. The location was excellent for exploring other towns in Florence. We ate dinner in the town after being out all day. (FYI excellent restaurant: L'angolo di Sapia Osteria Wine Bar, in the old town.)

There is parking available but be aware there is an extra charge for it. The parking is onsite and has a elevator to the lobby which is nice.

In a good location with plenty of bars and restaurants arround. Aged with charme but in good condition. The breakfast was amazing. Everything one could want. Awesome kind staff, very helpful.

The carpet in the elevator needs an urgent desinfection or should rather be removed and replaced with parquet. The smell was very bad inside the elevator.

Superb position at the bottom of hill housing a historic city with easy links to major roads, very well-appointed rooms, modern bathroom, very good breakfast until 10. We did not feel rushed even though we had it in the last half hour and were also served excellent coffee from the bar. Kindest staff one can imagine, helping us repark our car in the hotel's underground garage. Also provided plenty of information about the site, restaurants, as well as useful directions to and information about parking at our next destination.

We booked our stay very late so could not really pick the position of the room, which was street-side and a little noisy.

The personnel is super friendly, they really want you to feel like a guest at home. They will do their best to let you have a good stay. Breakfast personnel brings you coffee.

The hotel is old. You notice that on a lot of things. Don't confuse this with not being maintained, because it is maintained properly and staff listens to complaints. Also, the breakfast items don't always seem to be able to catch up with the amount of people, which might leave you stranded waiting for new items to arrive.

Location, comfort, convenience was all great. Would stay again if I was in this neighbourhood again. Got some good advice on the Via Francigena path as well - how to avoid walking on the highway. The path suggested was a delightful stroll beside a stream and waterfalls.

A little expensive. As peregrines on the Via Francigena, it was expensive.

We were able to check in early as we were doing a walking holiday. The receptionist helped us locate the swimming pool and supermarket which are both nearby. The hotel has a great view towards the upper part of the town...so picturesque.

Our mobile phone charger did not fit the connection in the room. Luckily there was a connector that worked in the hall.
