We booked the "Standard room with Lake View and Spa Access" plan. The room was quite spacious with nice lake view and the huge bed (2 double beds attached). The bathtub was also large. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices. The staff at the breakfast was very friendly and nice.

There's no tea/coffee & kettle service in the room. SPA needs reservation in advance which we didn't know at the time of booking hotel, so we couldn't use it on the day we arrived because it was full. SPA is only for 2hours and the temperature of the indoor pool was too cold for late November, it was too cold to stay still in the water to relax. The parking in front of the hotel is not enough for customers, when we came back late at night, it was full and the reception said we need to pay €5 for underground parking. It should be for free for all customers.

Perfect location, amazing staff, exceptional quality - a dream holiday We stayed for 7 nights and each one was perfect! Breakfast was excellent - there was always food stocked throughout the whole shift, so there’s no stress of arriving late and having nothing left. Varied for meat eaters, vegetarians, full breakfast or a light snack. We opted for dinners and didn’t regret it! Every night we were served four delicious courses. The staff are exceptional. Whether you wish to practise your Italian or speak English, every member was accommodating, friendly, and happy to help. The spa and pool facilities were spotless, the gym works 24/7, and again, the staff go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your stay - even starting up conversations, which is very welcoming and friendly. The bar and restaurant staff were very kind and bent over backwards for our requests - late dinner, trying things off menu, even a birthday surprise which was organised by them! The location of the hotel is ideal and the staff combined make it paradise. I couldn’t recommend a better place to spend your holidays and we’ll definitely be back! Grazie mile di tutto!

It’s like a resort swimming pools etc lovely staff the breakfast is great the draught Perone lovely and I don’t usually drink beer great barman makes great cocktails not expensive and lovely ambiance a great terrace the hotel itself is very very nice so clean it’s incredible the cleaning staff do a fantastic job the beds are not great

IT’s location is a bit of a joke the taxis can be non existent the bus is a five min walk but again it doesn’t always come and without either your kind of stuck also the bus only takes cash there are no atms also the lake view has actually a busy road in front of it and why oh why no coffee in the room it drives me mad finally the hotel restaurant has a ridiculous menu like rabbit and fairly expensive

Location was excellent- beautiful lake views from our room. Paula in reception was very welcoming and guided us with local places to go. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room staff were so helpful. Hiring bikes from the hotel is a great idea for exploring locally. Everything was very clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing Loved the spa facilities

For vegetarian/ vegan diet, the hot food section could include more items eg beans or vegetarian sausages (choice of only eggs in the hot breakfast) but overall we still enjoyed what we had. Also I think a 4 star hotel should provide free bottles of drinking water especially in the summer heatwave.

Fantastic hotel. Spent there almost a week. The staff, facilities, SPA, variety of food for a breakfast with really good coffee - everything was perfect. They made everyday cleaning and they always waited until we leave with our dogs. The size of the bed was unbelievable, and the room itself including a bathroom was really big. We had a lake view room with huge window, and probably it's nice to sit outside on the balcony in summer. Also they provide bathrobes and nice slippers, it's very convenient to use them to go to the SPA or just in the room. We would definitely choose this hotel one more time.

Sometimes it was hard to find a free parking lot, especially in the evening, because many people were coming to the conferences or whatever. And also it would be better to have separate blankets with "real" duvet covers, not simply covered by sheets. Everything else - no complaints.

Spacious rooms. nice gardens and pool. Staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble, especially the barman. He worked so hard and was always so cheerful and friendly.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. It was a little bit further out from the town than we would have liked, the walk down was lovely by the lake but quite a trek after a long day unless you got a taxi.

The cleanliness and the staff. The spa was very good, spotless as was the pool area and for July/ August it was never that busy. The food in the evening was very well presented and delicious x

Only two options of dessert on the set dinner menu .so often ended up with fruit salad It was a bit out of town if you didn't have a car. It would have been good if the hotel had a shuttle bus to take people to the and from the station or into Desenzano itself xx

Great location. Very stylish hotel. Excellent staff and food very good.

The need to wear a swimming cap in the outside pool. Very old fashioned and off putting for my wife. Not come across such strict rules before in any other hotel. Also pool was not accessible until 12.00pm would prefer to access at 10.00am.

Good breakfast - lots of choice, but the same every day. Breakfast staff were fantastic. Great pool, small and quiet, fine for us. A few kids around for our daughter but no jumping into the pool allowed or pool toys.

We didn’t have a balcony and it felt like we were only one of a few rooms that didn’t. Having said that it was so hot we couldn’t open the curtains or window anyway! Spa was lovely but a lot of broken tiles in pool, needs a bit of an upgrade. Steam room was closed. Had to wait to use sauna due to limit of two persons. No food options for kids for dinner or lunch really (apart from a gsm and cheese toast), if you have a fussy child like us be warned there are no fries, or pizza or general unhealthy snacks on offer.

Acquaviva is a superb hotel with an indoor and outdoor pool, spa facilities and a fabulous staff. From the cleaning staff to the receptionists and the dining personnel, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms have airconditioning (a must in the current heatwave) and the location is beautiful, overlooking the lake. Lunch is served on the terrace, and very enjoyable. Quite a few rooms look out on Lago di Garda which offers spectacular sunsets. We had a garden facing room but in the heat that was probably the wiser choice as those rooms are less sunny. Our room had a big balcony too. The location is great as long as you have a car, as it is not in Desenzano but a short drive away. Good restaurants are close by. We loved Peperoncino d’Oro. The lake offers so much, we went canyoning, and did all sorts of water sport. The hotel was a great place to come back to and relax.

I would love for the rooms to have a kettle and a coffee machine. It would be good to hang a washing line on the balcony to dry the towels and swimwear. And it would be amazing if the hotel could create a (private) beach to the lake.
