The location was awesome, right by the water. The room was a reasonable size and the facilities were good. The breakfast was amazing! And great to have a pool and restaurant on site. Staff were helpful.

Just could be noisy some nights with people hanging around directly under our windows.

Loved this location & the pool!! Close to city center with many restaurants and shops and also right on the water! A lovely small pool with lounge chairs that we enjoyed every day (it was a very HOT mid-August visit). If you are visiting the area in the peak summer season a pool is a must :) They also have a nice bar/restaurant outside right above the pool that you can get drinks/food from & enjoy poolside. The rooms/bathrooms were also very spacious. We had a triple and still had plenty of extra room to move around in. Breakfast was included & wonderful- they had everything from eggs/meats/cheeses/pastries/fruit/coffee/juices/cakes/breads/etc. The staff was very helpful & answered any questions we had. It is a bit of a trek to the train station (about 12-15 min uphill from hotel to train) so we took a cab to train with our luggage to beat the heat- cost about 10 euros. Definitely great for families & I believe pet friendly (I saw a few guests with small dogs, but check their site to be sure). I would definitely stay there again!

Since we were there during a heatwave the rooms could have used a standing fan (or ceiling fan would be even better but more costly) in addition to the weak AC units in the rooms to help circulate the air better. Also some fans in the breakfast rooms would have been great too. It was very hot while eating breakfast. I just don't think the older AC units they had could accommodate that level of heat/humidity. It was approx 95 C while we were there.

The location was fabulous. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Francesco also Julia who even offered to bring us to the train station by car as taxi service was busy. The household staff and breakfast waiter were very obliging at all times. We would have liked if the restaurant offered sandwiches such as panini’s. The view of the lake from our terrace room which is actually on the 1st. floor was great. I would recommend terrace rather than balcony room as same are very small. The hotel is rather quaint which we liked but it’s more like a 3 star from our experience. The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Desenzano for restaurants and ferry service. There is a lovely lakeside walkway with access right next to hotel.

The pool was icy cold so we couldn’t enjoy this facility which was very disappointing as its location is fabulous overlooking the lake. One cannot swim in lake either in front of hotel. When we did swim in the lake at Padenghe beach is was actually warmer than the hotel pool.

The location is fantastic. It is 100mts from the city center and an 8-minute walk downhill from the station. The hotel is very clean. The staff is very professional and courteous. The hotel is very comfortable. The bathroom is clean with all amenities and good supply of hot water. The lift is nice and big. The breakfast is perfect with a superb viee too! I was impressed that they had enough vegetarian options and also some warm food in the morning. I was fed up eating breads and cheeses. As an Indian I do need something warm in the mornings. The staff gave us an adaptor; we were so glad they had a universal one.

I loved everything.

Staff were welcoming. For my 4 night stay I was given an upgraded room with a side view of Lake Garda. A lovely surprise! Hotel is excellently situated. Weather was warm so I made frequent use of the swimming pool and lounges. The breakfast was delicious and the male waiter obliging. Wish I had his name

The evening meal I had in the Restaurant near the pool was disappointing. The service was poor and the food unappealing.

I did very much enjoy my stay at the hotel and already planning my next trip in September! The location with view on the lake is just fantastic, staff and the service throughout were excellent. A huge thank you to everyone who works there! The hotel and rooms are very clean, food (dinner, lunch, snacks (including delicious gelato), drinks including cocktails) were great and to a fair price! A lovely pool to cool down from the heat was greatly appreciated and the lake was there too. Desenzano is a charming location with lots of bars, restaurants and shopping facilities. Ferries work throughout the day going to other lovely locations, such as: bardolino, great for shopping & food ; - and sirmione (lovely views from the cliff, sandy beaches, lovely green spaces, at least 10 gelato facilities. A visit to the Grotte de catullo, an old Roman villa in sirmione is also highly recommend! A very minor point is that some areas of the hotel could be renewed but I suppose due to covid there isn’t much money available to do that.

Excellent location with a beautiful view. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Thank you. Only points I would make is that the room was exceptionally warm, uncomfortable to the stage we had to open the balcony doors in the middle of the night, which didn't suit as we were at the front of the building next to the roundabout and too loud. From an interior perspective, rooms were nice and the bed very comfortable, but the bathroom could do with an overhaul.

Beautiful hotel on the Lake. Stunning views from our bedroom and from the breakfast room. Beds very comfortable with fresh white bed linen. Very close to all amenities. About 15 min walk from train station. Central location for getting ferry to Sirmione and train to Verona. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful.

The staff was excellent. Everyone was very warm and welcoming. The room was good, even if each of us had a small double room for single use. The restaurant is excellent!!!!

I think they need to invest money into several areas. The floor at the entrance of the hotel is breaking, the staircase toward the swimming pool has missing tiles, tap and bathroom doors at the reception are broken. Just little things that need attention. Breakfast room was not inviting but had a beautiful view. Breakfast should offer some vegetables, like tomatoes which were missing.

Quiet location with spectacular views from lake facing rooms, breakfast room, pool and restaurant but only a short 5 mins easy flat walk to lovely and lively town centre for shops, restaurants and ferry stop to explore everywhere on the lake, and direct trains to Verona and venice

Hotel dated but quaint and traditional, but needs some small maintenance around the edges. But doesn’t distract from positives. Boarded up rooms at lake level ?? what they are spoil lakeside footpath view
