The hotel itself is lovely but what really impressed me was the staff. Everyone in the hotel was there to help. Every evening the reception team asked us what we were doing the next day and made some great recommendations of places to visit. The bar is small but well furnished with a nice outside area overlooking the lake. Drinks were reasonable priced - €10 for a good measure Gin and Tonic. The room was lovely with a nice balcony over looking the lake. The weather was not great when we stayed (Late September) but we sat out most evenings enjoying the view. The bathroom was well equipped. The room had a TV with Sky which meant you could get international stations to listen to news. Tea/coffee facilities in the room. There was a minibar but we did not use the stock. The pool areas was compact but there were more than enough beds for the guests to use. Breakfast was superb with a good selection of continental or traditional breakfast choices available. the whole area was very clean and the staff helpful with any off-menu requests. The hotel itself is a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre. There are lots of excellent restaurants available. We did not have a bad meal all holiday. There was a good selection of shops as well which were not overly priced for quality products. I would recommend having a car to visit some of the other towns around the lake. The roads are excellent and there are some amazing views. Go to Tremosine sul Garda for spectacular views from high up. Be prepared for some heart in mouth driving though as the roads to the top as narrow and very windy with buses and trucks coming the other direction! Salo is also very nice to walk through the shopping alleys and the nice lake front promenade. Finally plan half a day in Sirmione which is a 10 miinute drive or bus from the hotel or 60 minute walk. Absolutely amazing place.

If I had to find a fault I would say parking. There are 10 free parking spots at the hotel but difficult to get depending on the time of day. There is a chargeable carpark under the hotel so always somewhere to park even if you have to pay. Other than that I am struggling to find anything wrong - this really is a lovely place to stay and highly recommended.

A lovely hotel in a good situation overlooking the lake. Very clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Giving guidance on timetables what to see and TV channels and promptly dealing with our request for extra bedding. We had a standard twin room that was good although it was lacking enough storage space for our things. The selection at breakfast was very good my friend particularly like the smoothy maker and the orange juice squeezer. And it was nice to sit on the terrace with a view of the lake. Would recommend.

maybe a better selection of toiletries and some biscuits would have been nice for the price paid. There was a very high end restaurant which was well recommended but we didn't use as it had only one vegetarian option on the whole menu which seems a bit of an oversight.

Location was beautiful , the hotel was really lovely , very good quality and the staff were really helpful with advice and finding taxis for us . Breakfast was wonderful with a great fruit , yogurt and seeds collection , lovely bread and cakes as well as hot breakfast and continental offering . The location is slightly away from the main town so it’s quieter and less hustle but just 5-10 mins walk back to the bustle of town and the ferry port for boats across the lake . It’s such a well turned out hotel for the money we would definitely stay again . Car park onsite plus the pool which is a bonus .

Breakfast was great- lots of choice and being able to make ur own fruit and veg juice a bonus. The staff in the hotel were amazing!! So friendly and couldn’t help us enough…. Pool area was lovely and very relaxing and our room overlooking Lake Garda was so comfortable

There wasn’t a lot of space downstairs to sit. It rained one day and all the seats were taken so we just stayed in the room Somewhere to get a small snack or chocolate bar etc would be good

Breakfast is the typical italian style with lots of everything, and it’s mostly sweet. However the scrambled eggs sausages and bacon met my needs. The coffee machines were out of this world and delivered great tasting coffee, quickly too. For those of a European background there were croissants, cakes cheeses yoghurts with plenty of fruits and cakes… did I mention cakes? And to add to your appetite the view was of the the lake so was fantastic

The dinner menu was out of our culinary reach, with lots of raw fish dishes (on the night we arrived) and more than our budget allowed if we had really wanted that kind of cuisine, which we did not. However their are plenty of restaurants close by with more typical menus at more reasonable prices.

Great location right on the beach and only 5 mins onto town. Room nice and clean and small balcony overlooking the lake. Nice pool area with good sunbeds. Breakfast area nice and also good lake aspect

Aircon kept breaking down. On last evening of our stay we returned back and found Aircon not working again but couldn't restart no matter what. Hotel said they would fix it when we returned later. When we returned at around 11pm it was still not working. Phoned reception who confirmed it could not be fixed. I asked them what they could do about it (night temp around 24c). They said nothing. I asked for a fan which they said there were none available. They suggested that we open the large patio window and put on plenty of mosquito repellant on!! I suggested I would be making a reduction for the last night. About half an hour later the hotel manager sent up the receptionist with a large fan.

The hotel was very nice. I stayed for 1 night only, but I’d love to come for more! I stayed in a junior suite with the lake view. The room was well-designed and clean, the bed was comfortable, there were different kinds of pillows for any taste. The bathroom was spacious, had high quality toiletries, enough towels and a nice bath. Good bathrobes and slippers were available. There was a kettle, and a tea/coffee selection. The curtains are blackout, I love that. The breakfast was superb, different types of eggs, fish, cheeses, lots of good-quality pastry, many vegetarian/vegan choices (although I came like 15 min before closure), a nice coffee machine. A la carte breakfast options are also possible. And you’ll have the tempting choice between squeezing a glass of yummy fresh juice or indulging yourself with champagne - I opted for a healthier choice :) The restaurant looks nice for dinner as well. The elevator is good, although you have to go down the steps for some rooms, please note that if you have limited mobility. The location isn’t in the very center of Desenzano, but it’s not a big deal, since it’s like a 10 min walk. If you arrive by bus from the station, the bus stop is like 2 min away. You can easily take a bus to Sirmione, it’s the most interesting place around I guess so make sure you include it in your plans (note that there are different types of tickets for in-city Desenzano trips and Desenzano-Sirmione, the buses depart approximately every 0.5-1 h, and when you come back, it’s a 10 min walk to the hotel). Hotel reception is very welcoming. They speak English well. They helped me book a taxi in 5 min, so I took my train on time :) Thank you, I loved my stay!

There’s an ongoing renovation of a park in front of the hotel. So you won’t have Instagram views, and it will be quite noisy if you decide to open the window. Although the windows are sound-blocking. Didn’t get help with the luggage although I had a lot, and I had to carry it over a few stairs. No free water in the room - I don’t know what’s the usual policy for Italy, but most hotels of that level where I stayed provided that.
