I liked that I had a key to the front door, so I could come and go whenever I pleased. I had access to the kitchen so I could make myself tea or have a tiny snack at 8pm. I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before so it was lovely to wake up to a breakfast spread and have my coffee made for me. As a solo traveler, I was able to walk everywhere from this location. I even walked to and from Piazzale Michelangelo to watch the sunset. Overall, the property was wonderful and so were the owners/hosts. Great location and great service.

Great apartment in a good location for walking to everything. It has all you need, good breakfast and private parking. Joan our host was amazing. We will definitely return next time we stop in Florence. The room was exceptionally clean .

It's a quiet little oasis outside of the main tourist area but still easy walking distance to all the main attractions and train station. Clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There are lots of little unexpected extras to make the stay comfortable. The common areas and outdoor garden gave it a lovely relaxing vibe. It was great value for money. I would highly recommend and stay there again if I ever get the chance to return to Florence. The hostess was lovely.

Nothing really. I did bump my head on the low roof of my room which was upstairs in a loft do one side was low....but that was my own fault. The room only had a skylight rather than a window as such. But it was comfortable clean and fine for a short stay. I was out and about all day so only really needed the room to sleep.

This is a wonderful b&b that is located in a quiet position on the other side of the river but within easy walking distance of all main Florence attractions. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Good variety of food offered at breakfast. Room was comfortable. Luggage storage was provided for my final day. Highly recommended.

The room is at the top of a spiral staircase - take care with your luggage. Also, the room has a lower ceiling on one side. None of this bothered me or affected my stay.

Excellent location a mere 5 minutes away from downtown Florence - just across the river from the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore)! Very luxury driven facility, yet very affordable - the hosts were also very accommodating and helpful. The "en-suite" bathroom, and the amenities provided in the space, were also a very welcome surprise - which I thorougly enjoyed. I would strongly recommend this accommodation facility to solo travellers.

When someone books the single economy room perhaps just advise (or warn) them about the spiral staircase they and their luggage will have to go up and down with during their stay at the facility. It was incredibly difficult to lug a large suitcase up to the first floor (and then down again) with no assistance. Nearly took me 20 minutes as it was a very small and narrow staircase.

We loved everything about the property - the design, comfortable bed, good breakfast, friendly personal. A special thanks to the hotel manager Alessandro - he helped us with useful advices as we had force majeure circumstances with Lufthansa and he was always here for us. This was priceless! The atmosphere in the hotel is very calming and friendly.

This is a quiet location across the river, but with neighbourhood shops and many places to eat with the locals. Walking along the street one would not guess that there is a garden in the back where you can have breakfast with the birds. Very relaxing but also close to sights on that side of the river. The multilingual., upbeat staff were helpful in all aspects and made you feel at home. It is only a 15 min. walk to the rail station and the airport tram. On a return I would look here first to avoid the crowds.

Lovely little B&B tucked away from the busy streets of Florence, approx 15-20min easy walk to the centre. We stayed in the room which had a double bed downstairs and bathroom and our friends were on the x2 single beds upstairs also with an additional toilet. The room opened out onto the garden. It was very spacious, had all the facilities we needed. If we wanted tea/coffee/snacks, we could just nip into the kitchen and grab it- it felt very homely! Beds all really comfy, love the toiletries and slippers. It’s the little things! Excellent communication from the host, although we didn’t meet them in person- the lady who looked after us at breakfast was very friendly and approachable if we had an questions. Breakfast also plentiful and varied. Overall, very nice little find and we would definitely recommend it!

The location is perfect for a 15-20 minutes walk to/from the city centre and its attractions. The bedroom, bed, and bed-linen were all top quality, as were all the fixtures and fittings. The bathroom was also well-equipped. Unobtrusive air conditioning was always available, and the fridge in the room was ideal for keeping drinks and food items cool. We had a room (Rame) at the front overlooking the street and with a balcony and slight river and city views. The 2 sets of double-glazing there was no traffic noise at all. We enjoyed a very generous cold buffet breakfast which we ate in the garden. In addition, tea, coffee, cake and snacks were always available during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and cleaned our room every day - which made it a real pleasure to return to at the end of the afternoon. They were also very welcoming towards our dog. We decided to pay the €20 per day for the private parking - we thoroughly recommend this as it is very nearby, safe, secure, under cover, clean and bright. (On-street parking would cost at least this in parking meter fees.) Finally, we needed to take our dog for the mandatory tapeworm tablet before returning to the UK, and found a super veterinary practice (Clinica Veterinaria Il Marzocco) less than 50m away on the same street - highly recommend. We would be more than happy to return to La Fonderia and would highly recommend to others.

The room was very stylish with high ceilings and muted colors and some contemporary furniture. The bathroom was also lovely. We arrived early and the lady kindly showed us to our room and explained breakfast. There was a kitchen area that guest could use in the day for a hot drink and access to sweet treats. Breakfast was a continental style buffet with ample choice and a member of staff was there to make coffee etc and answer any questions. We sat outside and had breakfast in the quiet, lush gardens. We were only at the acommodation for one-night but the road behind seemed to have lots of little bars/restaurants that we would have explored if we were there for longer. Great little place. We also asked for a taxi to be booked which was kindly done too.
