An old palazzo converted into a B&B on the 2nd floor. We were given room 3 which was the original salon - a huge room which had been upgraded to have a large en-suite shower room plus a built in wardrobe with a fridge and kettle area in the other half of the cupboard. There were stairs up to a mezzanine with two additional beds so could be used for a family. All with the luxury of air conditioning. Breakfast is provided using a voucher system with a local pasticceria (Pinti) which is only a couple of minutes away- lovely breakfast of fruit-juice coffee (your choice) and a pastry (again, your choice). They also had a brilliant waiter! “Nonna” Norma was a star - she kept the place spotless! In our last day we had time to kill before our train and Norma looked after our bags and brought them down to ground floor in the service elevator - an external remote controlled hoist suspended from the courtyard ceiling!

Beautiful historic building in old town Lecce. Close to city buses and a 20 minute walk to the train station. Big room with high ceilings. Antique chandelier and wardrobes adorned the room. Breakfast vouchers you could use at two cafes within a 10 minute walk. Pasticceria Pinti was my favourite. Large rooftop terrace with lots of seating. Filippo and Alberto were helpful and responsive, and Nora's kindness absolutely made my stay. I would definitely stay there again!

As someone who likes very cool AC, I thought the lowest setting could have been cooler.

Good location but two flights of steps to get to the room, bad for elderly mom who was with us. We specifically asked about steps and were told the room was on the same floor as reception, they neglected to say reception was on the second floor. Bad choice for anyone with mobility issues. Rooftop jacuzzi access was by reservation only and at an additional cost.

No onsite breakfast option, just directions to a nearby cafe that offered pastries, nothing close to an American breakfast. Teen boys need eggs! So we had to find food elsewhere.

one of the best things about the place was the welcome we got. I don't know what the lady's name is but we called her nonna. she's my adopted granny now, she thought I was "bimba". Anyway the room was spacious and clean and comfortable. Fabulous location and plenty of storage space. Roof terrace was lovely but we didn't use it much. Breakfast was at a spot around the corner, perfectly fine. Such a pretty building .

Coffee. There was a kettle and instant, and a well priced trust mini-bar (thank you) but the complementary items were limited and the lack of a coffee machine was a disappointment. We would like to be able to make a decent cup of coffee in the morning - suggest perhaps a machine in the hall - or pod machines in the room?

Delightful period property, charmingly presented.and our room was extremely spacious. Ideally located in the old city - convenient and quiet street. We could keep popping back while exploring this amazing place. The host Alberto gave so much useful information that enhanced our 3 night stay. The roof top garden was a great haven to relax in and everything we needed had been thoughtfully provided. Nora was also a very friendly and helpful presence every day

Greeted in a very friendly way, and got a thorough introduction to the room, hotel, and Leece old city. Someone was always on hand to help if I needed it. Very, very clean. Lovely rooftop terrace with sitting areas. There was a jacuzzi , too, although I didn't see anyone using it. Vaulted ceilings in all the rooms

No elevator, but it's a histric building, so there's nothing can be done. They did kindly help me with my luggage. The only thing I really didn't like was that I didn't stay long enough!

The old palazzo had wonderful character and the host Francesco was very kind and helpful, with good advice on where to eat and what to do and see. He was always available on the phone and helped us enormously with parking which can be tricky in Lecce. Nora, the housekeeper was a true gem, kind, helpful and friendly. Our room was roomy and airy with a high stud and beautiful high windows traditional in such an old building. There was a charming balcony over looking the ancient alleyway below. It was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would highly recommend centro storico B and B as it was a great place to stay in a good area and we felt very safe at all times.

I loved the central location and the historic setting. The roof terrace was absolutely brilliant for relaxing and sunbathing. There were sun loungers as well as chairs. The added bonus of the mini bar was great, especially for enjoying a drink on the terrace before dinner! The accommodation was exceptionally clean.

After check in the lack of personal contact albeit the host was easy to reach by WhatsApp. I though with reception hours having been mentioned it would have been possible to speak to the hosts during this time. There were a lot of keys to open the various doors and gates into the premises but that isn't really a fault of the accommodation it is just something worth mentioning.

Top part was Francesco and Nora. They were both so lovely, giving my partner and I plenty of their time to chat. Francesco provided us with loads of local recommendations and we managed to follow through a quite a few despite our short stay in lecce. He had great food recommendations and sightseeing ideas as well as helping us understand the parking situation which i really appreciated. Nora gave us loads of time in the morning to head out. I saw her work with other guest in an equally kindly manner while getting loads of jobs done. We had a great laugh with her. She was such a great person to see us off. The room was awesome. Its a beautiful space with gorgeous high ceilings that have been carefully renovated, an excellent bathroom and the whole lots was spotless. We had a lovely little balcony to open our doors to and look out over the side street the entrance is on.

Nothing to report. Great value for money and top notch staff. I'll be going back here again.
