The location is great as it is in a very quiet environment and it offers a great view. Especially the breakfast staff was very sweet and service oriented. We were lucky enough to be there with only a few other guests. Communication was flawless and the pickup upon arrival was a very welcome treat. Yes, you should rent a car or scooter but that is true for almost all places on the islands. We walked down to Lipari once which took about 20 minutes and was maybe 2 km ( there is a direct way, don't walk on the main road). I personally enjoyed the breakfast they offered as you got freshly baked bread buns and cake every day, among other things. That's more than you get at some other hotels in Italy.

The bed in our originally booked room wasn't very comfortable. However, when I asked about some extra blankets or matress covers to make it more comfortable, we were offered a fifferent room with a new bed immediately. I slept really well in the new bed and the service oriented behavior was a big plus for me.

Everything! The scenery was magnificent, we have the best view on the islands in the garden and we get to enjoy our breakfast there too. Amazing! The breakfast was also really good ; everything you would need and of good quality. The staff could not have been more perfect. We felt safe, cared for with warmth and availability. Really, thanks again to everyone we encountered there! The walk down the main area is not that long and safe. You can also rent cars/scooter or take taxis pretty easily. Would 100% recommend to take a day trip to the surrounding island (including Stromboli). It was a great value for money and a great addition to our stay!

Nothing not to like!

Very good accommodation, good breakfast (the breakfast lady is so nice), a stunning location and a helpful and polite host. We had no transport ourselves and this seemed a bit of a problem at first because the nearest village is a while away and public transport is very limited. Then, Angelo helped us out and brought us to the nearest village multiple times. For this we are really grateful. As budget travelers we were also happy to be allowed to use the kitchen.

Nothing really. Communication was a bit challenging at times due to the language barrier but thank heaven for translation software.

The villa and the panorama was amazing A perfect accommodation for a couple.

That without a car you have to walk to lipari to the restaurants about 3 km .we did it but not everyone can..But therefore best view from Volcanoe and a very well taken care of garden .Amazing

Good room with fridge and private terrace situated in a luxury villa with friendly owners. I especially enjoyed the magnificent view in the morning (and the starry sky in the evening). It is a steep climb from the center, but the owner offers to take you from the ferry and bring you back there after check-out. I personally didn't make use of this offer because I love to walk/hike anyway.

If you don't have a car and go out at night, make sure to bring a flashlight because the route partly runs through unlit, uninhabited area. And for solo travelers (particularly female) without a car, keep in mind that you'll probably want to take a taxi back late at night as part of the route is very dark and deserted (no doubt it's safe but I got 'Blair Witch Project-vibes nonetheless when I walked up there one night on my own).

Wonderful views over the sea to watch the sunrise, bright and well furnished rooms, nice garden and lovely place to enjoy the excellent breakfast. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and so helpful with everything. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful time on Lipari.

Incredible stay at Villa Maristella! Our host really went above and beyond to make our stay as memorable and comfortable as possible. Angelo was fantastic! The view from the room and terrace was honestly breathtaking, surrounded by flowers, mountains, and the other aeolian islands. The B&B was high up so we needed to rent some electric bikes to get around lipari and into town but what an amazing way to explore the island if you’re not scared of heights! Room comfortable and all round expectations far exceeded. Would stay here again 100%.

No issues!

Angelo went above and beyond throughout our stay! The villa is beautiful with large rooms and a gorgeous terrace. Angelo was very fast at responding to any questions that we had with many helpful tips. Breakfast was delicious (the pistachio croissants were our favourite!) and Simona was very helpful as well, a huge thank you to all.

It is a steep walk into the town centre but we were very kindly offered a lift to and from the port with our luggage so this was no problem.

The place is run by a lovely family, absolutely nice and helpful. They offered to pick us up from the port and take us back. The location has magnificent view over the volcano and the ocean, and very quiet and calm. I cannot expect better than this

The only "issue" is about the location which really depends of you have a car, lots of stuff or able to hike. We knew about the issue by other comment but decided not to bring our car to the island as it wasn't worth for only one day . If you are staying longer consider it more seriously. There is no grocery in reasonable distance and it is 30min uphill from the town. In return you will enjoy lovely scenes of hotel.😍

The host was super friendly offering a coffee upon our arrival, and proving me with soy milk for breakfast. The room and the B&B is really well kept.

Would be nice to have some pillows on the benches of the external area.
