Staff all really friendly and extremely helpful both in advance, and during our stay. They helped me arrange a proposal to my now fiancée including room decoration and a fancy meal. Breakfast was good, and the waiters remembered what drinks we liked and offered proactively to get them for us.

Wasn't the comfiest bed we have stayed on, and there was a lot of noise from the room above late at night. We also could have done with a bit more explanation on some things as we ended up paying for a taxi from the port even though it was only 5 mins walk.

The hotel was beautiful and had a wonderful view. It was a short walk from the center of town yet felt removed enough to be like a resort. The breakfast was wonderful and delicious and the staff was very helpful and friendly. There were nice options for getting to the beach and the staff was helpful in directing me on tours and things to do in Lipari.

The room was a bit small and the sliding doors allowed some bugs in which bit me during the night. The property was a little confusing to navigate for the rooms that did not open into the hotel hallway.

The hotel was perfectly situated - close to the port for ferries to other islands and the mainland but far enough away that it was tranquil and peaceful. There is a supermarket, pharmacy and plenty of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel was stunning - clean, spacious, beautifully decorated with a lovely pool and garden. The staff were amazing - helpful, polite and friendly. My hotel room was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and had everything I could possibly need. It also had a verandah with an amazing view. Breakfast was wonderful and lunch and dinners are also available should you require them. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in and I felt like a princess! I will definitely be returning there next year.

The place has an amazing view, the rooms are clean (!), the stuff speaks English very well, is very flexible and well trained. We needed to change the dates of our stay several times and the hotel was able to accommodate to our needs and wishes perfectly. They very patient and friendly. The room had everything you need except for a mini fridge and a mosquito net. But the AC worked perfectly so we just kept the doors shut. The breakfast is really nice and we were very happy all around. The baths in the public areas were clean and equipped. And all around the hotel is just really really beautiful.

We had a room with a gorgeous view and balcony, that they had ready when we arrived in the morning (!) and we loved our stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Booking the best excursion of our holliday (to Panarea and Stromboli), bringing us champagne to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday when they realised we celebrated it there (even though it was not his actual birthday). We loved the pool(-area) and the pool-bar. Location was great: just an easy 10 minutes stroll to the center.

Room itself was a bit dated: small things that need to be fixed. Lots of options for breakfast, just not so much to our taste. But very minor issues!

Lovely rooms with superb sea view and balcony overlooking the pool. Reasonably priced bar drinks. 10min walk into town with bars and restaurants aplenty. We loved the breakfast- lots of choice and beautiful restaurant location.

Nothing really. Would’ve liked to have glasses in the bedroom to drink water from. Not so keen on disposable plastic cups.

The receptionist staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The property including the rooms was very clean and tidy. The views from the balcony were fabulous as well as the scent from the lemon trees. The quality of the breakfasts and dinners were excellent as was the attentiveness of the restaurant staff. I had my birthday there and the staff went over and above to make precious memories. We would love to return again.

This hotel is beautiful. Fabulous sea views from the bedrooms, pool area and restaurant. It is a short walk into town or you can catch a taxi for €15 to anywhere in town if you are too hot or not great on your feet (we visited with grandparents and small children so took the taxi a few times). The people who work there are fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us. We all absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Mea.

The hotel is well located, just a 10 minute walk from the port. Elena from the front desk was very friendly and contacted the management to change our rooms to make our family more comfortable. The hotel was very clean and had nice rooms.

The breakfast had staff, but it was not managed properly. Food was not being replenished timely, no bacon, eggs were cold - yellow cheese from day before - little selection - no white cheese or any vegetables. For this class of hotel we would have expected much more.

The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They were as helpful/efficient as a 5 star concierge. Room size (garden suite) was excellent for our family- adult sleeping area was separated from children by door- huge plus. Rooms were cleaned well each day. Poolside food/bar service was very friendly and pleasant but on the slow side. Good value for the amount of food. Close to port/town.

Would have preferred a location closer to marina corta as it is generally a prettier area- the walk to hotel from main port/town was 7-12 min (with young kids)- the 7 to 12 minutes was not scenic/pretty (totally safe but somewhat dilapidated look and initially off-putting) BUT ok to scarifice given hotel qualitiy/amenities/friendly & helpful staff.
