My husband and I were traveling with another couple. Maison Gentile worked out perfectly for us. It is in the heart of the old part of Lucca with restaurants and stores right down the street. We each had our own room and bathroom (with a lock and key) and there was a kitchen/eating area in between our rooms. The room and bathroom were clean with fresh towels and toiletries. The host met us there and showed us around which was helpful. He was also very helpful with our questions about Lucca. The breakfast was exceptionally good. There was fresh coffee, a warm dish, something like a quiche, croissants, meat and cheese, fruit, yogurt and much more that I can't remember. I have no complaints!

The location was excellent, not far from the city wall but near everything inside, cute square with market stalls nearby, aswell as shops and restaurants on the door step, yet could hear nothing from the street and comfortable. Spacious room, Comfy bed and lovely modern clean bathroom.

As this is a B&B, essentially rooms in a large apartment with kitchen area outside off all rooms, you could hear breakfast prep and everyone having breakfast if you weren’t up early like the lazy sods we were (before 7:30am). Breakfast was limited (IMO) but good to have something there and good coffee. Hosts were lovely. Also hard to find but look for the columns off the street into an alcove (chairs and tables there and s stall with art work and you will see the big white door with small sign outside. Ring the bell!

I loved staying at Maison Gentile. Extremely efficient communication. Generously allowed me to leave my case to collect later. room was modern and comfortable. Not extravagant, but everything was clean, comfortable, and easy to access. Lift to get luggage up to Level 1 was wonderful.

I was a bit hard to find - a bigger sign near the door might be helpful. It's right under your nose, but you could miss it. Not a big deal - of course I found it.

The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was very nice as well The location was very posh and in the center of Firenze. The room was surprisingly quiet but the single room is a bit small as you would expect for the center of Firenze. Vey nice boutique hotel and the location is perfect as you can walk from the main train station or T2 Tram line from the airport. They even allowed me to check in early upon arriving on the overnight flight from the US. A good value for the location and quality of the hotel and breakfast.

The single room was a bit small but I believe the double rooms are likely just fine.

Hosts were really kind and fast to reply, and the breakfast was good, too, with amazing expresso or latte. Really well located. One tip, it's hard to drive into the city with a big car and small streets,, but there is free parking outside the city walls, best to ask the hosts for some parking/luggage tips.

The host and staff member could not have been more helpful. They were fantastic. The location was great. It was a good base to explore Tuscany including the CinqueTerre. We loved Lucca. The train services were very good.

We didn't get the room that we expected but this was my fault (I booked a room with 2 single beds when I thought that I'd booked a double room) and the fault of Booking.Com insofar as their website is not as comprehensive as that of Maison Gentile.

It was really lovely , in a perfect position in a wonderful destination with lovely staff and a lovely breakfast

The only thing missing for us, were a couple of arm chairs, even thought there was a divan you could not sit on it comfortably as it was deep and high

Good breakfast. Spacious room. Very central location. Helpful staff, who allowed us to leave our luggage after we had checked out, and went to the effort of ginding out about bus times for us.

Very clean and quality bathroom. Bed comfortable. Really good location only a minute or two from central squares. Very friendly staff and reasonable English spoken. Room and bathroom are a decent size.

The room had no easy chairs. Safe too small for a laptop and a full sized camera won't fit either, ok for passports etc. Breakfast a bit formulaic tho coffee was good.

An excellent location in the centre of Lucca. Very quiet and comfortable rooms. Silvia was an excellent host. Contacting us at the start of our journey and was there to greet us.
