Location was amazing! Little cottages - super cute, clean and comfy. Accommodation has everything you need, 10+ options per day to take a bus to Venice and back (2.50€ one direction). Pool was great.

Staff at the front desk was not friendly at all. At the restaurant either. If I would have to rate only staff it would be 1. However the accommodation was great, hence its 9.

I like the concept of Hu villages (I've stayed before in other cities at them). Big room with all that you need at a very good price. The entire campus is well organized and you have a restaurant on site, also a small shop with all kinds of stuff - with supermarket prices. (also if you go when is warm they have multiple outdoor activities around the pool) They have a shuttle bus (2.5EUR) to Venice, but the schedule is not very reliable and you must book it at reception. Still maybe better than the 20 min walk to public bus station. The reception acted very fast to solve the issues we had in the room.

It was pretty late when we arrived and we were kind of tired. We had the bad luck that the access card didn't work to open the door. Also the key from the reception didn't work to open the door and we had to wait a little until the door was fixed. (maybe 10-15 minutes, but since we were tired we didn't really enjoyed the waiting). For some reason our shower didn't start the water heater so in order to have hot water in the shower we had to keep the hot water on at the sink which is in the room while showering (so more humidity in the room and lower water pressure at the shower). Not a dislike, rather something you should be aware off (but I can't put it at liked stuff): The AC can be switched between cold & heating working mode only from reception.

The camping is located in a green residential area that seems very safe and friendly (we walked in and out at various hours, including 10 PM and 4 AM and never felt insecure). The camping staff was very friendly and helped us with infos, maps and details. 24/7 check-out, very good for us. The easiest way (and cheapest) to reach Venezia Piazzalle Roma for us from HU Camping was to walk about 25 minutes (2 km) to Panorama hypermarket (where you can buy all kind of drinks, food, cookies, including cooked ready-to-go food) from where you can travel to Venice by their free shuttle once per hour (they said you have to show to the driver a 4 EUR/pers receipt but they never asked for it). The shuttle depart each hour at 09.30/ 10.30 ... and go to Venice in less than half-an-hour. There are some bus stations a bit closer (Marghera Cimitero, bus line 81F or Beccaria Canetti, bus line 18), but the bus schedule could be a bit challenging for your daily schedule. The bus ticket is 1,5 EUR/person for 75 minutes, that is more than enough to go anyway from Venice or Mestre railway station to HU camping. The Hu camping also provide a shuttle for Venice that costs 3,5 EUR/person one-way (in March 2025). Never used it because there was only 2 per day and their departure hours was not good for us. For all type of food also recommend Panorama hypermarket. The Al Calesse restaurant which is the closest around was closed during our staying. The Hu camping also have a nice supermarket. There will be a bit of daily hike from the camping to any bus station (15 minutes at least), no matter you go to the train station, or to Venice, but Venice itself means many hours of pedestrian routes in daily basis, so come prepared. The room itself was great, spacious and providing all amenities we need. Heating was made using the AC system, but it easily succeded to provide 24 Celsius degrees inside even when there was 3 Celsius degrees outside.

The fridge in room was a bit small (minibar type fridge) but it was working OK. The door locking system based on cards was a bit unfriendly at first sight, but we eventually get used with it.

small but comfortable place for few nights stay, when least/budgetary option is selected. Room is clean however they won’t housekeep (at least not the one i’ve picked) until you checkout. Otherwise, place is secured, simple configuration but optimal.

Because it’s located on Marghera landmark, you need to walk to nearest bus station for roughly 15 mins (Parmesan st.) and hop on bus #6 (or 6L, or #43) to reach Venice. Nothing much to do around, so you better stay till late evening in Venice to enjoy the environment

The room was lovely 😍. Had 2 beds aircon and a bathroom and a fridge no kettle which was the only thing I missed A lovely small deck to sit on Very quiet. Will come back again in my camper and stay in the back part liked it back there. If you want a kitchen double double-check your reservation pool was lovely to relax at and had an area for your dogs to use if you want to take your dog to the pool. The food in the restaurant is neither the best nor the service. But that's just my opinion Very handy shuttle service into Venice 250 each way last one back at 2230 But you have a 20-minute walk to the city limits. Get a water taxi day pass for 25 each it's great to get around because it is a lot of walking.

Everything! The store is very well equiped and the lady Gabriela that helps there is very kind. The staff in the lobby also solve everything i nedded and were educated, thanks for that. You have laundry machines, playgrounds for your kids...quite cozy this stay.

The lifeguard in the pool very racist, there are no dogs allowed there and she even pet one that got in (from an european), i forgot to take my shoes off when i got in and she made such a deal with her whistle and yelling. The pool schedule, at 6pm you still have sun after you came back from venice, but they close it at that time.

The facilities were excellent — clean, well-maintained, and very convenient. The staff truly stood out: friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke English fluently, which made everything much easier. Their professionalism and welcoming attitude really uphold the site's reputation. The prices are also very reasonable, offering great value for money. An extra bonus to our family trip was the pool area — my kids absolutely loved it and spent hours enjoying all the pools. It made the experience even more special for all of us. A fantastic stay overall!

If you don’t drive, getting around can be a bit tricky — the site isn’t within walking distance of shops or other public transport, so you might end up needing to spend extra on buses or taxis. However, the cheap shuttle to Venice was a big help and made this much easier to manage.

The room was clean and the facilities were amazing. There is a supermarket in front of the pool where you can buy equipment or food/drinks for your stay or to consume at the pool. There is also a shuttle bus to venice for 2.5 euro per trip which is cheaper and shorter than public transport.

Our room's AC did not work so I had to ask reception to send someone to look at it. They sent a technician who didn't speak English, and after checking the AC he claimed that it was working fine (even though the room temperature was around 30 and very humid!!) So I had to go to reception to ask for another room. When we were going to the new room, I saw the same technician repairing the AC unit in the old room. So in fact there was something wrong with it, but for some reason he lied that it was fine!!

The place was very tidy, and the apartments were well designed and spacious. To get around, you'll need to take a taxi or check the availability of public transport. They offer a shuttle service to Venice for €2.50, and there are buses every hour for pick-up and drop-off, which made transportation quite easy. The facilities include a kids' sliding pool, a separate kids' pool, a large swimming pool, a sauna, and more. Accessibility: May not be ideal for those with mobility challenges. Hidden Costs: The absence of basic electric appliances like a hot kettle and microwave can lead to additional inconvenience or unexpected expenses. Mosquitoes: There are quite a few, especially in the evening, so it’s recommended to bring mosquito repellent.

We had a long trip around Italy, starting and finishing in Venice, so we stayed in the location twice during our trip. hu is like mini city with all amenities in one place - cafe/restaurant, grocery store, laundry service, tourism services (tours etc), also offering spacious parking options and shuttles to the city (we used the public transportation, most convenient public transportation stop was 10-15 min walk away). For the kid the highlight was pool and slides -highlight of the week and was eagerly waiting for trip to end and to come back to the hu!.

As I will be writing only one review for both stays - pool could be open past 6p.m. (on some days it was until 9 p.m.). All other questions were quickly solved, if any.
