It was really clean, beautiful and good smelling room, everyday they've been cleaning the bathroom! The breakfast was superb, everyday a bit variations. Also the Girls are doing great service. Check in and check out was without problems. We've got a map of the city with lot of recommendations to do/eat. There is no city view, buuut it is the quietest place in Naples and we enjoyed the stay.

there is a one really little thing - if you are sensitive and your sleep isn't deep then you'll hear everything happening outside your room but just in the morning. During night nobody is there.

Once you walk down the creepy smell alley (the drivable part of the alley ends about a block from the building) and find the building and duck through the small door into the courtyard, and see the cracked paint, the residents' laundry hanging out to dry, the crumbling, deteriorating building and you lug your suitcase up 2 flights of stairs, and hear kids and radios and TVs, etc., you actually arrive at a nice B&B! Once inside, I felt very safe, my room was spacious with the bed upstairs in a loft, the bathroom was nice and the ac worked well. The coffee maker (hot water heater?) in the room was broken. The pictures of the B&B on the website are pretty accurate. The manager was very nice and friendly and the staff was helpful and nice. The location was near where I wanted to be amongst the old streets but there was nothing I wanted to buy.

The Gentile B&B: The creepy alley you have to walk through (the driving section ends about a block from the bldg). The breakfast area is small and the "outer sitting area" is closed off and smoky smelling. It's not a place you want to eat. Naples: This is a very poor and dilapidated area in the old part of town. Everything is in ruins and I feel sorry for the people who have to live there. I ventured towards the "upscale" section of Naples with the old colonial-era hotels facing the water but looking at an industrial shipyard and some dirty sections of beach. The hotels and restaurants are skeletons of their "glory" days and very few tourists were to be seen. But some outdoor restaurants were filled and looked like good pizza.

A really beautiful oasis in a chaotic neighborhood; attention to detail is exceptional and all is put together with care and investment in the guest’s experience. The room was comfortable, enough space for our family, and well appointed. The location was in the center of activity for the city, with lots of young people and families, restaurants everywhere, and reasonable walk to the Metro for exploring other neighborhoods. Breakfast was simple (compared to some other places we stayed), but delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming across the board, and Eugenio was helpful and responsive.

Nothing not to like, it’s just a bit of a leap of faith as you find your way to the door and through the courtyard. A little tricky to get your bearings at first, but after noting landmarks carefully we were able to come and go with ease, and once we got the feel for the area, found it a fun place to be centered, and the hotel was always a welcome retreat at the end of a busy day. Also bear in mind the need to carry luggage up and down a decent flight of stairs to get to the B and B; manageable for us, but could pose challenges for some.

The room was large and bed was comfy. For me it was nice and quiet. And safe. Location is great for those wandering the Centro Storico area. Love the fact the owner installed mineral water (natural and with carbonation) on tap for his customers and provided water bottles for those who don’t have their own.

It is located amongst a neighborhood where you can only walk. So getting there by private car is not a good idea, will need to pull your luggage a certain distance. Better by taxi. You will need to carry your luggage through a small door and up one flight of stairs.

Gentile Suite is truly an oasis in a very chaotic area of Napoli. Our host, Eugenio, was just as amazing as the rooms. He was very helpful in making suggestions on activities and some dinner reservations. The rooms are modern, clean, and very very comfortable - AC worked perfectly in hot summer. The breakfast was typical Italian and delicious. We were travelling with our teenage daughters and had plenty of room - this was by far, our favorite room - plus the arcade was a plus that everyone loved! The Centro Storico area is noisy, crowded, and difficult to maneuver around, but this B&B was our respite in the middle. Would HIGHLY recommend if you are in the area.

The location is the only down point of this B&B. It is very quiet inside, but the surrounding area is totally chaotic with - mardi gras/Bourbon Street-like drinking, smoking, SO many people, and trash all around. It's not an area that you would can stroll around and explore without watching for motorinos to run you over. Napoli has a certain chaos that is special just to Napoli - and it's worth experiencing - and if you ever visit - Gentile Suite is a wonderful place to stay.

The suites were remarkable, a great room very spacious, in a historic building in the heart of Napoli. We arrived late at night, it was raining, the building seemed old and then the doors opened to a paradise, a great room, very good for families or four people, luxurious and very welcoming! The owner was fantastic, he was kind and comforting, even he took us for dinner to a fantastic restaurant in Naples! I recommend this property to everybody and i will come back again for sure!

Breakfast could have been better to match with the rest of the property

The location is fantastic- everything (churches, market, the “pizza” street) is available on foot. The property itself has a charm: beautiful courtyard, stylish reception area and rooms. Everything is very well renovated! I also really appreciated the attention of the hosts - the route to the hotel was sent to my what’s up in advance. If I had any questions I could just write to them. Our room was prepared before the check in time and Eugenio gave us a lot of nice recommendations while having coffee. The breakfast was ok but in comparison with a “standard” Italian breakfast I would say even “superb”: it had eggs (on request), cheese and cold cuts, bread, fruits, yogurts and lots of pastries. Special thanks for a cappuccino on a soybean milk and generally to a lady working during breakfast - she is very nice :) Also it’s very cool that kitchen is open 24*7 and You can take water any time from there.

Just a few things that can be improved: • cleaning (during the stay, NOT before the check in): it’s very basic, just making the bed I guess. For instance, the floors in the bathroom were not swept during our stay and had some dirt • amenities: I would add slippers (the floors were quite cold and I didn’t take mine as I am used to have them in hotels/BB rated on booking as 4* or more) and bath robes • breakfast: to replace if something is finished. I don’t eat meat for instance and during the second breakfast at 8.30 already the cheese was gone. But after I asked the lady quickly restocked it. It just would be nice to do it right after it’s gone.

Nice looking room, great location, so close to the historic centre. Felt like it was in a secure private location away from the madness of the city. The streets are amongst locals. Nice bath and shower. Excellent helpful staff Not an issue but 3tvs in a room seems excessive! Nice to have it in bed and in the bath though

Breakfast was ok. Could be better. Room layout could be better. A bit strange how large the bathroom is compared to the bed area. A little tricky to get around and the wardrobe door is a little hard to close because the fridge sticks out too far

The B&B manager was very helpful in getting us to the B&B, allowing us to check in early, making dinner recommendations/reservations and getting us to the airport the next day. The place itself felt modern and clean. Breakfast was delicious and relaxing.

The room would have been ideal for 2 people, but with 3 of us, there was a big temperature difference between the living room sofa and the bedroom, which made it difficult for all of us to sleep comfortably with A/C given the August heat. Everything else was perfect.

An absolute gem in Naples Central Histórico. The hosts are very accommodating and the room was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was awesome as well. This is the perfect location if you want to be in the centre of it all! We would definitely recommend anyone considering Naples Central Historical to stay at this B n B. Not to mention, we enjoyed some of the very best food in Italy in Naples. Thanks Again.

Everything is outstanding!
