Staying here equals Leaving Paler.mo, feeling the city energy and geeting a full expirience. Location is amzing, in the middle of everything. Rooms are extremely cozy, done with taste, especially for r'n'r lovers :) Liviana, the owner is the Godfather of How to live Palermo :) in the best possible way. Full of tips, advices, which will give you all the real info on how, where and when. Place was very, very, very clean, with great noice isolation. Amazing balcony for smokers, one of those where you feel like home. We had welcome drinks and snacks, a fresh healthy breakfast on spot each morning + additional sicilian breakfast in a 3min walk place. Amzing and authentic expirience.

Liviana was so wonderful and helpful throughout. We were there for a special occasion, and I'd asked her to make some suggestions to help us celebrate, she gave plenty of options and made the reservation for us. She was not available when we arrived, but had given very detailed instructions on how to get there (both from the airport, and into the room itself) that were very thorough. She made all aspects of our trip easy! The room itself was as pictured, clean and very nice. Location was also very convenient as a base to see Palermo, and we were happy with our choice!

The only con - we stayed Thursday and Friday night. Thursday night, there was some faint noise from the restaurant below, and that was fine. On Friday night, the bar below us had loud music til 1:30, so I suspect it may only be relevant on the weekends.

Although I never met her, as everything was self check-in, Liv was very helpful and always available with advice on WhatsApp. The location is in the heart of Palermo near all the bars, restaurants and some of the main sights. The room was very cool with a unique decor and there was even a beer and water waiting for me! I recommend Punk Funk bar nearby and Liv's parents' wine bar Mooddica which has amazing Sicilian wines and food.

The rooms are basically bedrooms in a converted apartment. Other guests were staying there but were a bit noisy and either were not aware or considerate of someone else staying there. If you are with a group it is fine but if on your own you will be sharing with 'strangers', a bit like having a private room in a small hostel. The key card buzzers are very loud and you can hear everything in the apartment. The apartment is also in-between two bars which are very noisy on Friday and Saturday. I did not mind as I wanted to go out but if you want somewhere quiet, this is not the place for you.

We had an amazing stay here - firstly the location is super central close to the heart of Palermo, the b&b shared area and our room + bathroom was also very clean and spacious, and Liv our host was the most kind and helpful b&b host we have ever met! She was proactive to share with us our check in instructions, provided great recommendations to local places and also went out of her way to help us when we needed some help with our next flight. Thank you so much for having us- highly recommended to stay here! 😌

This must be one of the most stylish B&B's we ever stayed at! From the fifties vibe of the common area to the industrial chic of the rooms themselves, each dedicated to a different type of rock music, every detail fits. We stayed in the 'Grunge' room, featuring a fridge posing as a Marshall amplifier and a customized 19th Century Singer sewing table. Awesome! And don't go thinking it's style over substance, either. The bathroom is spotless and convenient, the bed is super comfy, the fridge spacious, and despite the lively restaurant / wine bar next door, no street noise percolates into the room at night. The courtesy snacks and drinks as well as the booklet brimming with inside information about sights to see and places to eat or drink were a generous touch, too! Which brings me to our gracious host, Liviana. From booking to departure, she was super friendly and flexible throughout, always ready to accommodate our requests and point us to the best cultural and culinary spots in town with a bright smile. (Incidentally, we had some of the best bites and wine of our entire trip at Mooddica, her parents' "enopaninoteca" (basically tasting platters, toasted breads and some truly delicious wines) in La Kalsa.) Oh, and the location is pretty great too, only a short walk from the very center of town without being too busy or overrun with, you know, tourists. So, do yourself a favour and don't look any further than Ba'Rock for your base of operations in Palermo. Truly one of the easiest "recommends" of my travel history!

Nothing to report on the 'minus' side. No, really.

Liviana was an exceptional host - warm, friendly, and unfalteringly helpful before and during our stay! She made sure we arrived and departed easily and safely, provided us with recommendations of places to visit locally, made the effort to help with dietary requirements, and took the time to meet us in person to ensure we were comfortably settled in. A perfect host! In addition to all this, Liviana was kind enough to arrange a tour of Palermo with her colleague, Alessandra, which I would 100% recommend. Alessandra was an amazing guide and the tour was fantastic - brilliant for tasting local delicacies and gaining local insights! I could not rate more highly! The room was beautifully appointed and very clean and comfortable. The bath, in particular, felt very luxurious! The location of the B&B was ideal - very central and easy to walk to all the beautiful sights of Palermo. The area is lively, but Liviana was very upfront about this, and the noise did not detract from our stay at all. Breakfast was provided at a lovely café round the corner - authentic, delicious, and generous! All in all, we had a wonderful time and would wholeheartedly recommend BaRock B&B! Thank you so much!

BaRock is a delightful apartment situated in the historic centre of Palermo, a few minutes walk from all of the main sites and a wealth of eateries and bars. The whole apartment has been renovated by the host (Liviana) with a real appreciation of not just traveller convenience and comfort, but also with real style. We stayed in the Grunge room, which had an array of memorabilia on the wall that brought back musical memories from my youth! The room was fully air conditioned and had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, anywhere. The host provided coffee, soft drinks, fruit etc. in the apartment, but the main breakfast was provided via a café on a nearby piazza 3 minutes away (again this was really great). To talk about the apartment alone, however, would not do justice to the experience that is provided by the host. Liviana was the most attentive host we have ever encountered in any of our stays. Not only did she make arrangements for us to check in early, but she was on hand for our entire stay – making recommendations, checking that everything was ok and making restaurant reservations for us. She also runs different tours in the city – we took the streetfood one which was about 3.5hours in the evening. Again, this was absolutely amazing and we learnt so much about the history of Palermo as well as experienced some local delicacies (even vegetarian ones for my wife!). If you are planning to stay in Palermoe, stay at BaRock; you won’t regret it. We’ll definitely be back! Grazie mille Liviana!

The owner - Liviana was just trully wonderful. Answered every question and was more than happy to help with anything we needed. The place was super clean and well equipped. We even had the mosquito nets in the windows. The street is at the lively spot which is suuuuper cool - 5 steps from the most delicious food, drinks and good vibes Palermo can find. I'm sure we'll be comming back :)

Not really a bad thing... but not what we expected. The breakfast is trully italian- a snack basically - croissant, coffee + the orange juice (with some other similar options). This can be a bit of a let down when you are used to some more nutritious ones.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here, everything was wonderful! The place is spotlessly clean and comfortable with awesome details. Liviana is an amazing host, making sure we have everything we need and super nice and helpful giving us advice on what to visit, how to get there, where to eat and so much more. The location is amazing as well since we walked everywhere. The breakfast was at a nice cafe, only a minute walk from the accommodation. We would definitely stay here again! ☺️
