The Khalisah is a remarkable B&B which seeks to integrate a rich history with modern comfort. The fact that anyone dared to restore these ancient buildings and ruins deserves our highest respect. The result is a charming place with courtyards that invite to linger, narrow staircases that remind of Arabic origin (?) and a spacious and very quiet room - in our case - with a super nice and spacious bathroom on two levels. The staff was super nice and also catered for my celiac friend with some gluten-free breads for breakfast.

Very good place to stay with great localization. Staff is really what takes this B&B to the next level. We have a lot of fun memories thanks to visiting this place.

A lot of steep steps to higher floors. For me that was not a problem but if you have any disabilities its good if you consult the staff before booking a room.

Aurora (and all other staff) was extremely helpful with any query or request. She gave us a great overview of the area and what was worth visiting. The room had a balcony with a small outdoor pool to soak your feet, it was absolutely wonderful to soak our feet in the evenings after long days of walking around the city. It was extremely clean and tidy and we felt very comfortable there. The design was very good with every detail being thought about in detail. The location was excellent for tourism. We were less than 6 minutes from every restaurant we went to in the evenings.

The location was fantastic. Antonella was extremely helpful. There is an extra courtyard space which is lovely to use.

I booked 2 rooms with the same description and price as was traveling with my sister & her husband. My room was quite different and better set up. My sister had an attic style room & my brother in law kept hitting his head. To be fair each room is very individually styled and I understand that. And we did want rooms near each other. So we just accepted it for what it was. We still had a great time staying there. But the fridge is definitely not cold enough.

The location couldn't have been better - right in the centre of Palermo just a couple of minutes' walk from the main streets, but in a slightly secluded and quieter area. The lady who runs the accommodation (Antonella?) was absolutely fantastic. She helped us so much with parking, and arranged for us to park in the car park right next door. She was incredibly helpful with everything, and took the time to explain how to get to the main sights in Palermo. The room was light, airy and very clean. It had everything we needed and it was comfortable. We didn't have breakfast because we were saving our calories for the amazing street food that Palermo has to offer.

Amazing location. In the middle of the old town. Private parking was amazing. 5euro to pay to get out of the zone on the next day. Design of the room was amazing! Mini Bar in the room was nice. Host super helpful and friendly. Bathroom spacious. Bed comfortable.

Neighbours from the opposite house are very close, but this is also normal in an old town. There was a construction side next to the building. If Windows are closed you can not hear it. If Windows are open, it is a bit loud. All in all we loved the accomodation and would definitely stay again.

The owner did a great job in restoring an old building. Very nice touches throughout. Aesthetically very pleasing. Like the courtyard area. Great location. Friendly staff.

Would have been nice to have more storage space in the bedroom. Wi-fi also didn’t get to the bedroom, might need an extender. Although this was a minor issue as we didn’t spend a lot of time in the bedroom.

Great communication from host ahead of booking, easy check in process, amazing room with large comfortable bed, sufficient storage and lovely bathroom with amazing shower. Lots of plug sockets near the bed. Mini fridge, kettle and coffee provided. I didn't have breakfast as I was out and about but it looked amazing! Host allowed me to leave my luggage and come and use the facilities before I left to fly home. Host recommended places to go and stay. Polite, friendly and welcoming.

Lovely little place in a cool area that feels authentic yet very hip, with lots of artsy boutiques, bars and restaurants. The property looks newly remodeled, set up with every convenience and a very nice patio. I got a great night’s sleep and was very comfortable. I especially appreciated the crystal-clear instructions for self check-in (which even included a video!) and the lovely presentation of the room, which even included a pair of slippers. Great value for the money.

Second time I've stayed at Khalisah and possibly not the last. The rooms are spacious and value for money, there's wifi, the staff couldn't be friendlier. The location may look a bit intimidating at first but don't let that put you off, I've felt always perfectly safe and it's extremely well placed to explore the old city on foot.

Heating - it was a chilly pre-Easter week, and a degree or three more would have been nice. But hey, you're out and about most of the time. One other thing, if you're travelling while taking work with you (like I'm usually forced to do), check if the room's got a table where you can place a laptop. Some do, some don't.
