If you've ever wanted to live every single cliché about vacationing in Rome, this is the place for you. It’s not just a hotel; it’s an experience — a full-immersion course in disappointment, served with a generous helping of disdain that’ll have you yearning for the warm, fuzzy customer service of airport security. The room is so compact you’ll need the agility of a Cirque du Soleil performer just to turn around. The interior feels like a student dorm furnished during an IKEA fire sale. For storage, all you get is a single clothes rail. No wardrobe, no drawers, no nothing. Because really, you didn’t come to Rome to unpack, did you? Cleanliness is a concept best left to the imagination. However, as part of the cultural exchange program, the previous guest’s forgotten treasures are thoughtfully left behind for your convenience. The defective shower is an inspiring reminder that Romans once bathed in public. Basic amenities? There are none. No kettle, no coffee, no fridge — just the radiant, unrelenting embrace of Mediterranean heat, as the air conditioning, much like the Roman Empire, is a thing of the past. Thankfully, the staff are very attentive. Every morning, they orchestrate a symphony of clattering and shouting in the corridors, ensuring you never miss a sunrise. Furthermore, the acoustics are so generous, you’ll feel as if the entire city is sharing your pillow. But there’s always a personal touch: the staff will enthusiastically sample your toiletries and liberate the ones they find most appealing. It’s the kind of service you’ll fondly recall every time you reorder that Korean facial toner. But when you return home, you’ll have enough stories to outdo every bad Rome tale your friends and relatives have ever shared. Because nothing says “authentic Roman holiday” like being relieved of your belongings and paying a premium for the privilege of feeling like a monk on a pilgrimage of repentance and atonement. Would recommend... to my worst enemy.
The location is pretty central, so you can't really spend much time in transit.

The room was nice and modern, and had a very comfortable bed, even though the room is slightly on the smaller side. Other than that, everything else was lovely, some really great restaurants close by, and walking distance to all major attractions.. we walked the entire city, only catching a taxi to the Vatican ..
There is no real room for more than 1 suitcase. We had to keep the suitcases closed in order to go in and out. There was no mini bar fridge or kettle, so having cold drinks at your fingertips or the ability to make a coffee not an option. Found this very strange not to have in a hotel room

Great location, clean and new hotel, our room was upgraded for free upon arrival.
We were not able to open a window because of the very loud conditioning system outside. Though we fully paid before our arrival, we were asked to give our credit card details as an insurance during check-in (for what exactly no one explained), this was weird.

The breakfast was really good, substantial. Could be inclusive of room rates.
We are early risers and would have appreciated mini milk sachets provided on a daily basis so we could enjoy a good cup of tea/coffee on waking up.

Subject: A Wonderful Stay at Room Select Veneto Dear Room Select Veneto Team, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional hospitality during my recent stay at your hotel. The entire experience was truly delightful, and I especially appreciate the kindness of Eleowora, who graciously accepted my request for a room upgrade, ensuring I had a more spacious and comfortable stay. The hotel itself was absolutely wonderful—a peaceful retreat away from the city's chaos, offering both tranquility and safety. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The daily coffee service was a lovely touch that added to the overall excellent experience. The entire team proved to be outstanding hosts, and I will certainly choose Room Select Veneto again on my next visit. Thank you once again for such a memorable stay. Warm regards, Ahmet Varol
The location, the safety, the cleanliness and the kind team to love.

It is a lovely modern funky hotel, very welcoming, clean and comfortable. Cosy beds, perfectly working modern shower, air conditioning, and a complementary daily bottle of water in the room. Staff could not do enough to make our stay perfect-a complementary room upgrade, we were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. Francesco, Kiril and Katerina greeted us like good old friends. A special thanks to Francesco, a very friendly and attentive guy. The location is perfect - a walking distance from the train station and 10 min walk to the Spanish steps, where the metro station will connect you with all historic sites. A quiet and beautiful area of Rome, where quite a few embassies are located. Very safe and clean.
We liked everything, no issues whatsoever!

I have the best stay at this property. Honestly it is a nightmare to find hotels in cities as popular as Rome because everything it’s either crazy expensive/overpriced or ugly/uncomfortable, so this little gem of an hotel was perfect! It’s clean, beautiful, in a good location and comfortable, I just hope they don’t raise their prices because right now it’s one of the few good options that ticks all the boxes.
I loved everything, it was a perfect stay.

The staff were all the way through were amazingly friendly. I stayed two nights and they made sure, every step of the way, that I was comfortable. I have celiaki and have to stay on a strikt glutenfree diet. I contacted the hotell beforhand and they made sure both that my late check in was fine but also that there would be a glutenfree option at the breakfast table. The location is great and I will definately cpome back here next time. Thank you to fort great service. Your slogan matches your way how you meet and greet your guest.

Room was modern, spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel in general was clean, tidy and modern.
The location wasn't as good as I thought (poor research on my part). It was only a 15 minute walk to Roma Termini station but was about 20-30 mins to main attractions. Not bad at all, well within walk distance but not as central as other options. (Would still stay again). The elevator/lift seemed a bit temperamental at times but itwas mostly ok.

I did a lot of research into finding a hotel in Rome and read reviews of each hotel. I decided on Room Select Via Veneto and have to say it was the best decision I made. It is a fantastic hotel from the moment you arrive. We met Francesco at reception who was so nice and welcoming. We were offered a glass of Prosecco each on arrival. Check in was very easy. Our room was 504 and was a superior double room. It was as advertised when booking it. The bed was so comfortable and so were the pillows. It was easily a Super King size but was probably two singles together with a mattress topper. Each day a bottle of water is provided free. We had a kettle and tea and coffee. The hairdryer was a Babyliss and not attached to the wall. Shower gel, shampoo and hand wash were good quality. Curtains were black out type. Full length mirror in the room also. Safe was easy to use. We had no issues with noise from other rooms and had requested a room away from the lifts. We only had breakfast the last morning as we wanted to get out early. The breakfast was lovely and well worth the €10. Juices, cereals, croissants, scrambled eggs, rashers and sausages. Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Villa Borghese and the Spanish steps and about 30 minutes from all other attractions. We walked everywhere never used a bus or taxi! Had a really lovely stay in this hotel and a great trip to Rome, weather was very good 🌞 Would highly recommend this hotel. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The noise from the street in the early hours of the morning. We like to have the window open at night and not use the air-conditioning. Try to avoid rooms opening onto the street if possible. The door of the shower is quite narrow to step into the shower. No note to say that there is a charge for the mini bar but we presumed there was and didn't use it.
