just wow! We were recommended by some friends to stay at Salvadonica after they happened to drive by and stop for lunch last summer. Our experience was incredible! The staff was so welcoming and helpful! Truly so kind it was such a warm welcome!! The grounds were absolutely stunning. So well maintained a taken care of. Salvadonica also has tennis courts, bocce ball, hotel run activities / excursions, and the most serene pool (at which you can order drinks to from your phone). We had dinner at the restaurant too and had an amazing dinner. I would recommend the wild boar pasta & pesto gnocchi. The breakfast buffet was also one of my favs! It was a rainy morning which actually made for such a cozy, peaceful atmosphere in the windowed room. Loved the local jams & honey! Other complaint is from my husband who said the beds weren’t super comfortable, but he has a high standard there so take w a grain of salt. Some other recs if anyone is curious: Truffle Hunting / Cooking Class nearby at Cucina Giuseppina (a highlight of the trip!), wine tasting at Ruffino, wine tasting at Bosco Castiglion, & travel to Montepulciano. For reference, we stayed here in mid September 2024.

Salvadonica was nothing short of perfection. This resort is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are super spacious, comfy and have a cool modern design with a "cavey-castle" feel. The restaurant was wonderful both for their elaborate breakfast and amazing dinner. The views from everywhere are out of a painting. The pool is gorgeous and peaceful with views of the vineyard and rolling hills with castles. We took the cooking class, which was wonderful.
There was a sign that said that wine and olive oil tasting 5pm daily. We rushed back for it. The sign did not say that you had to sign up, or that there was a charge of $22E for it - which we found out when we arrived. They gave us lots of flack for not making a reservation - and billed us for it, which was an unpleasant surprise. It was ok.

The breakfast and morning staff were amazing. The service was excellent. Every single morning, we were greeted with a smile from each and every one of the staff. The breakfast options were more than sufficient and very delicious. The service and food in the evening, also outstanding. Serving large groups, such as ours can be challenging at times and 9 out of 10 times, the evening staff totally outdid themselves. Courteous, professional, explained dishes, gave suggestions, so very polite. Magnificent evening service staff and the food was always so good- as was the wine. Our group took a cooking class that was also so fun and informative. I had one of the best rejuvenating massages ever. The staff in reception went above and beyond to answer all of our many questions. All of them were so helpful and courteous. Housekeeping. I can not say enough about the housekeeping staff as well. Excellent. Excellent. Excellent - every single day- My husband and I used their shuttle service last day and the driver was very informative, well spoken, kind and a good driver! Very enjoyable drive to Florence airport.
We were there in late September for a week. Was a little chilly and had no heat. We were a large group- 9 of us with 4 rooms. Would recommend smaller groups, only because when we wanted to get together on the premises and play cards or games, there wasn’t any common indoor place to do that when cold and rainy outside. There was one evening at dinner where the elderly gentleman server told us he couldn’t split the bill by our room #, that we had to do that in reception, which we did after dinner. Very unhappy about that.

The property is great and offers lots of options for relaxing and entertainment. The rooms are really nice and well equipped and the restaurant is really good.
Had an unpleasant situation at the swimming pool when my daughter (4 years old) was enjoying the pool with her grandma and two guests approached me to say she was being too loud. She wasn’t. But people wanted to read and relax with total silence in the swimming pool in the middle of the Tuscany summer when it was 35+ degrees. Well this is not an adults only hotel so if you want 100% silence maybe search for an adults only hotel :) I mentioned this situation to the staff and they were very apologetic and wanted to know who the guests were so they could emphasize exactly this message to them. (Btw we were at the pool for less than one hour in the beginning of the evening after spending the whole day out and about).

The property is well located, the staff was great. I believe we would have enjoyed a lot more during summer, when it rains it gets a little tricky since areas are all opened and there is so much more to do on a nice weather, same thing applies for the region. The staff was great. Breakfast was good but not exceptional.
We could hear the bathroom flush from one of the rooms, and unfortunately we had a very bad neighbor the would flush the toilet at 00:30 and 4 AM every night. It woke up my husband and I every single time. A blackout in the window would have been nice as well as we where in ground floor, every time someone walked by a very bright light would turn it on.

First, the staff was all very friendly and helpful. I woke up with the most beautiful morning in Tuscany having great locally sourced breakfast. The facility has an expansive area that is very photogenic. They make their own EVOO and Chianti that are excellent. I mean they are really good (get Riserva Chianti). Don't miss the spectacular sunset by the pool. You must have at least one dinner at their restaurant. Food, especially pasta and braised meat, was fantastic. Better than most restaurants in the area and in Florence. There are many activities to do in the resort. I did the cooking class and it was fun and delicious.

Staff are extremely professional, helpful, and take hospitality seriously. Restaurant was decadent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Fantastic views despite poor air quality/overcast skies. Room had great AC. Pool was cool and refreshing. Property was relaxing with some lively children bustling around and playing at the pool. Reception extremely helpful with e-bike rentals, wine tasting, booking taxi, etc.
The folks staying in the room above ours seemed to walk around nonstop all night - footsteps were loud and somewhat disruptive to our sleep, bring earplugs. Somewhat pricy, adds up quickly, but worth it to indulge :) Should have rented a car to see more in the area.

The location is sensational, the best I've ever seen in Tuscany. The property is big and beautiful and quiet. The view over the neighboring hills is absolutely spectacular. The buildings are old but well maintained and keeping the original vibe. We did not have the time to take part in the optional activities, unfortunately. Florence is 30 mins away, Siena and San Gimignano about 45 mins. You do need a car. Pet friendly which is a huge plus in my book.
The staff in the restaurant. Some of them were supernice and friendly and helpful, there was a lady at breakfast especially. But the older gentleman who seemed to be in charge at dinner time was not that friendly, he kept us waiting to take our order two times, and he seemed to be overall bored with our group. He was the exception however.

This wonderful hotel was a real oasis of tranquility. Everything was clean, organized, and thoughtful. Outdoor movie nights, excellent dinners, and delicious breakfasts. The pool offered a stunning view of the vineyards and Tuscany. The rooms were clean and stylish. The hotel staff was accommodating and responsive. There was also a free tennis court. The greatest joy was the opportunity to disconnect from the daily hustle and fully relax the mind.
Only one car charger. But next year there will be more.

Salvadonica is a small medieval village that has rooms refurbished with modern equipment, the staying is absolutely great and the comfort pretty high. Having breakfast with the stunning view is definitely a plus, the choice and variety of food and drinks available are absolutely great. We dined also in the restaurant, we were happy with the food and the bottled wine, less happy with the wine by glass.
The village is beautiful so they organize guided tours where tourists gets excited and scream at all times, if you're going on the Chianti hills to relax and rest, this may bother you sometimes. The restaurant is quite crowded so prepare to be QUITE close to other people's table and talk, also, the side with the view is an annex to the main building and can get cold, it's heated with aircon and it can blow directly on you for the entire dinner.
