Located in the heart of Siena, which was fantastic. Room with the view, spacey bathroom, everything so new and clean! Great and freindly stuff.

the only thing that we didn't like was the fact that the hotel is on the 4th floor, without elevator, and we had big bags, so it was super hard to come up. We know it is the old building, but we suggest people from hotel to hire a person who can help with bags. :)

Good sized modern style air-conditioned room with a clear view of the Campanille. very clean, with a fridge, comfy bed and free tea and coffee in reception along with a chilled water fountain. Very central - less than 5 minutes walk to the Piazza. The staff (the owners?) were very helpful and friendly and spoke good English.

It's a lot of steps (around 70) from the street up to to the reception area and to the rooms. There is no lift (as you would expect in a very old building), so it was a 'good' workout getting 4 heavy suitcases from the taxi up to the reception area in 35C heat. But that's the price you pay for being in an old building in the heart of Siena I suppose!

The owners were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the Campo and the Duomo. The room was very quiet, the bed comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk in shower with lots of hot water and pressure. Everything was very clean. It was very quiet at night. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The only downside we found was the stairs up to the hotel. To be fair, they did say they were at the top of the building and there was no elevator. It is 5 floors up. When we booked, we were expecting to go up the stairs, but not so many. After a day of travelling, we were more tired than we expected to be. We were travelling light with only a small day pack each and 1 roller carryon, but it was a struggle for us. (We are 71 and 74). And after a day of walking up to the top of the Duomo and up and down the city, the idea of going up 5 more flights to get to our room was a little daunting. :) For younger people it won't be a problem.

I think the "Albergo" was renovated not so long ago. It is well located. Everything is fresh and clean. I had a nice view from my window and plenty of space in my sleeping- and bathroom. Staff was really friendly. You have free water, coffee and tea. I would stay here again.

Nothing really serious and nothing that would make me stay away from the Albergo, and I know they offer this for free, but they could decalify the waterboiler in the hall. Just an advices, nothing negative, but some might need to know, that there is no elevator up to the 4th floor and the Albergo doesn't serve breakfast. But there are plenty cafés around, so no worries.

the room was very clean, light and airy with a great view to Torre del Mangia. the bathroom was impeccable almost as if it was brand new! excellent location!

The whole hotel is on the fourth floor in a residential building without an elevator. since the actual reception is on the fourth, there is no one to help with luggage. I had no issues with this but if I were traveling with my parents or small children, this would have been problematic. I think the hotel should disclose this in their description or in their confirmation email. I’ve seen other hotels in Italy do this.

Super clean room, excellent beddings (comfy bed, new sheets and towels, extra blankets, and extra pillows!) and great location. Extra points for the cute little roof top patio in our room, added a romantic feeling to our stay. Would definitely stay here again! Don't miss the nearby opera show if you are in Sienna on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday! Find the brochures in the reception, or ask the staff, they were truly kind and welcoming. Will stay here again next time we are in Sienna, I highly recommend it!

Fortunately we got relocated from the main property to an apartment just around the corner. This was good in two ways - the Albergo Centrale main property is at the top of a building with only a (long steep) staircase to reach - the apartment was much easier to reach, and was a treasure to be in: great views, a stone-throw from the main Piazza, and wonderfully quiet.

Bed not so comfortable but otherwise everything just worked nicely.

I really appreciated the thought the manager had. As a solo traveller, staying for two weeks, I was offered a flat of theirs, as an upgrade, which meant I was able to be more self-sufficient.

I can't think of anything! Siena is a relatively small place, so everywhere was a short walk from both the hotel and the flat.

Lovely room, if you crane your neck a bit looking out the window, you can see Siena's tower. Nice quiet street, great restaurant just across the street and down the block.

Be forewarned that the inn is located at the top floor of the building, no elevator. Four floors or five, can't remember. We were fine with it, but understand climbing stairs is not for everyone.

The room was very clean with a beautiful terrace overlooking the rooftops of Siena. The staff were very friendly and helpful. By far the best part is the location on a quiet side street - it is a 2 minute walk to Piazza Campo with plenty of restaurants around it. Generally a very good stay with the location the absolute highlight.

The stairs! 4 flights of stairs without a lift was a bit of a challenge (and we are both young, fit and healthy!). Some of the rooms features were either old or didn't work e.g., mirror in bathroom has seen better days, TV had no signal (although this didn't bother us so much as we didn't have time to watch any). Lastly, the walls are very very thin - we were woken quite early each morning by housekeeping and other guests. I'd have also loved to have had coffee making facilities, to truly experience the terrace.
