We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Hotel du Parc. We stayed in the old villa which had absolutely magnificent public spaces. Our bedroom was on the 3rd floor but there is an elevator. The room was large and had a lovely balcony, bed was very comfortable. Room could use some updating but it was really lovely with beautiful views of the lake. I would recommend requesting to be in the old villa, since there is an annex that is more modern. The staff was amazing - breakfast was a beautiful spread each morning and there was a full bar for aperitifs in the evening served with generous snacks which we took up and enjoyed on our balcony each evening before dinner. It is a short walk down the hill to all the activities of the town - there was also parking on site for $8 a day. I really can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here.

Bathrooms and Bedrooms could use an update but were totally fine.

A small family run hotel. Amazing staff - everyone was friendly and helpful. We loved our room (2nd floor, lake view) and balcony. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh homemade cakes every day as well as delicious bread and pastries and savouries. Loved having the option to order cappuccino/ americano or expresso as well as the ordinary coffee. The little bar was a bonus and we enjoyed sitting outside with our drinks in the evenings. The hotel is in a great position only a few minutes walk from shops , bars, cafes and restaurants. The lake and boat stop is only 5-10 minutes walk away.

We were truly fortunate because when we arrived the receptionist told us that they had upgraded us to a suite. We were given the biggest suite in the main house, rathe than a room in the annexe, because we were staying for a week and it happened to be vacant. We had a beautiful suite with huge bathroom, at the front of the house, with views across the lake from our large terrace. The hotel was as described online, a villa set in its own garden and grounds just above the town. It took around five minutes to walk down to the lake front and shops. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - they offered true hospitality. Breakfast was a good buffet, plenty of choice of fresh food and the recption staff would serve drinks during the day if we needed to rest and escape the sun. The dining room was very sunny and welcoming. We were delighted with our choice of hotel.

Everything was so pleasant it is hard to say what was not good. We wished that the TV had offered one English speaking news channel, as we were away during the general election but that was a minor issue

We had a wonderful 4-night stay at Hotel du Parc in Stresa, a beautifully transformed private villa set in its own stunning grounds. Originally converted into a hotel in 1952 and thoughtfully enlarged and refurbished, it offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The overall experience was fantastic. Our two dogs were treated like VIPs, making this a truly memorable getaway for couples and pet lovers alike

Our room was quite small, but might have been just our misfortune as other rooms are quite larger, and the breakfast could be more tailored to the Italian heritage.

Almost everything was perfect. The friendly personnel helping out with where to go, what to do and what the best way to drive home was (incl. directions) easily switching from German to Englisch to French as our Italian is 'not up to speed' . The location was A+, just out of the center, a 10 minute walk to everything you need in Stresa. The breakfast was fine with enough options and parking the car was also a nice to have.

The only (very small) disappointment was that we did have a room with a view to the lake, but without balcony, so no outside place to sit in the room. The room itself was nice with good sanitary and clean. So no real complaints.

Perfect position a minute away from all the Bars and Restaurants, very friendly staff ( Simona) grazie! Very welcoming, 5 min down to the water , Surrounded by a nice small Park

For 200€ /a night the standard of the room should be a bit renewed/renovated, I ve had itching when laying on the matress( very sensitive to dust and old matresses) so we got another room in the newer renovated part ( next door) then all was fine, The breakfast was typically italian but sadly dissapointing with not anything warm ( no scrambled eggs or anything) Again for the price of that hotel it should offer a bit more, Also the staff at the breakfast was not super welcoming and friendly

Hotel Du Parc is a lovely, old-fashioned hotel with lots of character. I loved my room on the second floor which had TWO windows, including one with a balcony, where you got a lovely view over the lake. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was also an easy walk into the old part of Stresa and down to Lake Maggiore.

Hotel Du Parc is a lovely old-fashioned hotel. The downside is that there is no pool, no gym and no spa. So if it is pouring rain there is not much to do. It doesn't help that the WiFi is intermittent and the television had NO English-speaking channels. Also, it is not far from a railway line, so it you leave your window open you have the pleasure of hearing trains passing through.

We loved the relaxed atmoshpere of the hotel and its garden - even in the middle of the high season we found there calmness we were looking for. The personel of the hotel is incredibly warm and welcoming, gave us plenty of excellent tips for our stay. The room was spacious and very clean, breakfast - abundant and diverse. Highly recommended place.

It's true that at night you can hear the noises from the nearby street - we were not too bothered by it, but light sleepers would be well advised to take ear plugs with them ;)

The hotel was situated literally 6 minutes from the lake edge downhill through the town. It was clean tidy and bright. We had a room on the bottom floor by the entrance in the annex building. The shower was really good and the bed was super comfortable. There were spare pillows and blankets if needed. A safe in the cupboard and also a good size fridge with complementary bottles of water. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. They chatted to us like they’d known us for ages. The breakfast was continental and had all the usual foods available. The hotel has an older style decor but it suits it beautifully.

There is a train line behind the hotel but you can’t really hear it to be honest. The other only downside was because we were in the bottom of the annex by the door it was quite noisy at times and also when older guests sat on the chairs which were directly outside our door. ( maybe an idea to remove the chairs)

The property is walking distance to the lakefront and restaurants. Loved the idea of it being once a private home and that the rooms on the main floor have kept their original furniture and property set in a parc like setting. Breakfast is very good, rooms with a view of the lake are a bonus. They are simple but comfortable. Loved the ability to have aperitivi on the porch served with little goodies. Sure, you can stay at one of the 5 star hotels on the lakefront with all the amenities, but if you are looking for charm and boutique style, this hotel is a great choice.
