Our off-season visit to Villa Cappellina was nothing short of magical. The interior is fantastic. I don't know why the other reviews are calling for a refurbishment!! Surely you booked it based on photos too?? Anyway, I loved it.. was a time warp but in a great way. The morning sun blasts into tue bedrooms (once the curtains are open) and into the breakfast room. Lots of options s for breakfast, the lake is underneath the hotel pretty much, so you can nip for a dip easy!! Loved it.

I arrived in the dark. Google maps takes you to the building, but up on the main high road, if you're heading from south, keep an eye in the right hand side for the entrance.

I loved that the annex was away from the hotel so nice and quiet

The annex is old, and an old, probably disabled person live here previously, your seatbelt is, it was slightly smelling of damp and there was an amount of mold stains on the tiles. But that did not ‘dampen’😉🙃 our stay. The whole of the hotel complex is in need of maintenance but I’m sure as the season gets going it will improve.

Outstanding views from our room overlooking Lake Garda. The location is perfect for a walking/hiking trip. Very reasonably priced. Close to supermarket and a few little places to eat and drink. We drove and got take away, which wasn’t a problem to take back to the hotel. Very cheap take away and really nice food. I’d recommend hiring a car if you are there to explore. No taxi’s out of season. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast, I’d say it’s the best breakfast I’ve ever had based on the views only. It was so romantic and just amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Such a lovely lady who looked after us during our stay. She went above and beyond to help us.

Welcome was great, breakfast very nice and lots of variety, also liked that there was a non slip mat in the shower so many places don’t have them & the base of the shower is very slippery! All the staff were wonderful!

Getting in & out of the property was very difficult due to the turn being on a very busy road, there is a mirror but we found it of very little help! Internet was very bad, made it difficult to do any forward planning or work!

Was hoping for a room with better lake views (ours was the last one on the ground floor, only limited lake views and room was quite dark), not enough light in the room, esp. in the couch area, wifi didn’t work properly

Staff super friendly, super helpfull, breakfast was plentiful and the location is very quite just as we like it. Beautiful spot.

The building and the rooms need some attention in particular there are not enough power plugs in the room. A bit tired.

I think this should have been some old villa renovated to be a hotel, and that added so much character to it. quite place which breathes tranquility. I would consider going back and I hope this place does not go out of business.

Has seen better days for sure, needs small touches here and there particularly with the furniture. Breakfast was too basic and I had a feeling that the personal were too few.

Customer Service / Communication from Tiziana was excellent pre arrival and during our stay there. Location and view was exceptional...makes us want to go back for a longer stay next time! Breakfast - there was a great variety of cold buffet food laid out to suit all tastes - meats, cheeses, boiled eggs, cereals, pastries, roasted veg and a couple of home made tarts - yummy - fruits and fruit juices (Tiziana even informed us what to expect when we checked in and asked if that would fit in with our dietary needs). The building itself oozes a historic charm...... The people we met at the hotel were regulars - and I can understand why! An overnight stay (which it was for us) does not do it justice!

Not a criticism, but just so that future guests are pre-warned and dont get stressed! The entrance/exit to the hotel from the main road - drive slowly as you approach it after the Hotel Sign. Getting out can also be a bit tricky.

Absolutely breathtaking view of Lake Garda! Our room was spacious and our deck was probably my favorite part! Gorgeous view of the sunset and mountains!

Almost zero water pressure (I could barely shower) and also the decking, as lovely as it was, needs a little work because of loose nails and such
