What a stunning oasis of calm and beauty. If only we could have stayed longer we would. Staff bent over backwards for us. Upgraded us because we requested a quiet room, so much attention to detail at breakfast time and Daniela allowed us to use her phone to make an emergency call. Welcome drink was very lovely! We borrowed two v decent bikes to cycle round the countryside as the sun set and the gym looked great even tho we didn’t get a chance to use it as we had to leave in a hurry. All staff were fab, bed super comfy, stunning interiors and would highly recommend this hotel. Would have done a cookery class if time too! Quick and easy drive to Otranto. Please don’t miss staying at this beautiful place!

I could not have more praise for this family run resort. The experience was made even more enjoyable by the professional and courteous staff, from front desk to dining and house keeping, there was nothing that was too much for these guys to make our holiday experience so enjoyable. A special mention for the restaurant, we dined here the first night and enjoyed it so much we returned for a second evening and we’re not disappointed. Located in a quiet village a few km from Otranto, a very good base to explore southern Puglia and Otranto.

Not a single thing

We have had a wonderful four night stay at Mulino a Vento. Everything about the hotel is great- the location is very well suited for exploring the coast, the room was very spacious and had a lovely peaceful patio area, the pool area is fantastic and has a great range of loungers and cabanas without feeling ‘resorty’, the restaurant food was delicious (with lots of vegetarian options, which is not often the case in the area), breakfast was a treat, and the staff were very nice and helpful. We can’t wait to return for a future holiday. We’d really recommend hiring a car for exploring the area- there didn’t seem to be a lot of public transport.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the hotel :) if you enjoy somewhere a little less touristy and more relaxed we’d recommend not visiting Otranto and instead heading to places like Galatina and Santa Maria de Leuca.

This is our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff and service in every section were amazing. The photos are good but it is even better in person. The room we stayed was spacious, clean, modern. Breakfast was outstanding!! Restaurant on site which was great and a few great restaurants in walking distance. Very close to Otranto by car also. Outdoor gym + bike rental + ping pong table a really nice touch! We will be back!

Fantastic pool with pool area, our room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much for them.

I feel that the wall between our room and the bathroom of the room next door wasn't very sound-proof as we could hear every time they flushed the toilet and every time they took a shower.

Amazing stay!! The staff was very friendly, special mention to Amanda and Stefano that helped us during all our stay. The hotel is located in a ver quiet place, it was great for relaxing. Also, breakfast was 5 stars, everything so fresh!! Loved the scrambled eggs!!

I would say everything, maybe they should revise their menu price, it was very expensive compared to other places. we ended up getting dinner always outside the hotel.

The property was very nice, quiet and idyllic. The rooms were very big. The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave us the best recommendations for sights and beaches. Also we had the opportunity to join a tour to the ancient underground oil mills of the hotel and an oil tasting, which was very informative and very well organized.

Amazing quiet hotel with exceptional restaurant and top quality service. This place was our base for exploring the Salento, and it served that purpose well. The staff was really nice, we did a tour of the local olive oil mill with them (which gives the resort its name) which we absolutely recommend. There's plenty of space both in the rooms as well as the grounds, and it's very quiet, perfect to enjoy either the pool or evening dinners and drinks at the wine bar. The food in the restaurant was really delicious, and they offer local typical dishes and wines. There are plenty of really good beaches less than a 30 minute drive from the place or you can just enjoy the pool if you prefer. We recommend driving around as the local village (Uggiano la Chiesa) doesn't have a lot to offer apart from nice locals. Mulino a Vento is a gem!

The staff are very nice and all speak English. The grounds are pretty and the pool is nice. The gym area is actually outdoors which is different to the photos.

The food wasn't as nice as expected, and is quite expensive compared to other places. There are not many places to eat in Uggiano itself so you are limited for choice unless you drive to Otranto. You have to rent a towel for the swimming pool.
