Quite some traffic noise from the streets

This hotel is oozing luxury. What a perfect place that completely encapsulates the meaning of a 5 star hotel. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous but what made our stay so special is the attention to detail from the incredible staff. Every person we interacted with was incredibly personable, friendly and professional and would go out of their way to ensure we were enjoying our stay. They all knew who we were from the moment we checked in to the point where we didn’t even need to say our room number or name at the hotel bars and restaurants. The room was perfection and absolutely gorgeous, so chic and stunning with the most luxurious bvlgari toiletries to use! All of the facilities were immaculate and it was so clean we felt there wasn’t anyone staying at the hotel! Another highlight had to be the incredible breakfast, my goodness you’ve never seen a spread like it, so many choices and all of them delicious, the handmade fresh pastries were to die for.

Absolutely nothing to fault

Breakfast was world class, staff ALL super friendly, helpful, and professional. Asked if I could play the piano, yes. Asked if we could go to breakfast early, yes. Asked if we could use the spa in the closed hour, yes. Nothing too much trouble - treat like kings. Thank you to all the staff, wonderful experience.

My wife had a drink knocked in her lap by accident by the waiter, and we weren’t offered discount on the bill or anything as a gesture. (They did bring a new drink to be fair). When I asked the hotel paid for the clothes cleaning, and it was no trouble at all. But it would have been nice if we’d been offered a free dessert or discount, any little gesture really.

The street in front of the hotel is super busy/noisy at night - motorbikes/cars and even trucks. The whole room shakes when a bigger car goes by. It was almost impossible to sleep in the room with direct sea view, even though we were on the 4th floor. That was the only negative, otherwise the hotel was amazing, as were the staff! I would expect such a luxury property to invest in soundproofing for sea view rooms - especially when it faces a very busy road.

All of the staff were very accommodating to our needs. After our first night there was a problem with our initial rooms and after we raised this we were allocated a beautiful set of rooms which we really enjoyed. The staff in the restaurants were wonderful and so kind to the children. The hotel rooms were modern, beautifully appointed, well stocked and sea view was lovely. The concierge team booked us excellent restaurants and recommended nice places to visit as there are so many options in the region it can be hard to find the right place.

smaller charges for bike rentals which would be nice to offer as complimentary. the usual high charges for f&b were expected but otherwise nothing else to fault!

extra pay for ham&eggs in a 5star hotel. Was no open-air possibilitiy for breakfast.

the hotel provides a proper, traditional and service-oriented five star experience. the breakfast buffet deserves particular praise. it has been by far the best one we encountered on our two week trip through italy.

prices for drinks on the terrace are excessive by any standard. 21 euro for an aperol spritz or 7 euro for a cappuccino are just too much, irrespective of the view.

Personnel at the reception desk, too many people but with no useful help. Moreover, hotel has no policy for missing things that disappeared during the room cleaning, they just apologize and nothing happened afterwards, so you leave the hotel with missing things. Wallet parking has great service.

A true 5star experience in every sense. The breakfast was outstanding as were all staff.The pool, although not large was a great place to relax and the service here amongst the best I’ve ever experienced.

We left early on our last day and couldn’t stay for breakfast and we were provided with a pack up ( unsolicited so again great service ) A simple croissant and water/ juice would have sufficed, what was provided was not to our choice. I had to work hard to think of anything to criticise !!

Breakfast service was excellent. The Michelin Star restaurant was one of the best we have dined at, compares well with Le Manoir say. The roof level facility was perhaps too small for the numbers of guests wanting to use it.

Bathrooms are a bit dated, but then the hotel is celebrating its centenary this year. Maid service was excellent and the rooms are well prepared and maintained. The spa was good.
