Beautiful hotel, really lovely room and superb bathroom. The whole hotel has been very well updated and retained its art deco glamour. The staff were so helpful and I can’t praise them enough. Great location opposite the promenade with access to a fabulous beach. Good choice of restaurants close bye. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of pastries, fruit, as well as cooked . Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station with easy access to Pisa, the airport and Florence

The hotel is very central and very elegant. The rooms very classic and clean with extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast truly exceeded my expectations, they even prepared vegan croissants for me. Also, had dinner at their restaurant and again it exceeded my expectations, the food was delicious, they were careful with dietary restrictions and the staff was very helpful. It was truly an amazing experience and look forward to visit again because we truly enjoyed our stay and the extremely perfect service the staff provide.

Great location. Great style. Roof terrace is a great location for drinks, meals and sunsets.

The hotel is in need of some refurbishment. It’s looking very tired in places. But it doesn’t take away the charm of the place. Don’t let it put you off. The staff are fantastic and you get the impression there are very happy working there. I’d definitely stay again. The rooms on the road side can be quite noisy with weekend traffic. Especially in the evening through to the early hours as it gets quite busy. If your a light sleeper I’d suggest a garden view room. You won’t be disappointed.

We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional experience at The Palace. After a week in a 3-star hotel amidst the ruins in Rome, the change of pace was truly refreshing. The level of luxury and comfort surpassed our expectations. The breakfast spread was incredible, offering a wide variety of options. We particularly enjoyed indulging in mimosas alongside delicious croissants and fruit salad.

Regrettably, the air conditioning was non-functional during our weekend stay. However, the hotel promptly addressed the issue by providing us with a stand-up fan, which effectively provided the cooling comfort we required.

A beautiful art deco building in a prime location and accessible to nearby visiting spots. Hotel was clean and comfortable with a beautiful and varied breakfast. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us especially Julian on reception and the lady welcoming us to breakfast ( sorry don’t know her name). The attached beach club was great. We had a meal on the stunning terrace which was lovely and the service was great. Drinks a little more expensive but stunning views made up for this. We were very well looked after and even the maid service was great. A truly wonderful and unique place to stay.

No swimming pool on site but at the beach club but this was quite small and very busy.

Fantastic location right on the beach , beautiful hotel and amazingly attentive staff - treat you like a celebrity . Breakfast was a very comprehensive buffet either meats , cheeses , fruits , juices , fabulous pastries as well as hot eggs, bacon , sausages, bread selection and Prosecco too ! Lovely classical decor too but the best thing is the rooftop bar and terrace overlooking the beach and strip with the most stunning sunsets . Great cocktails and food upstairs too - makes for a magical evening . Will definitely come back soon .

From the moment of our arrival at the Palace Hotel we knew we would have a great experience. Our reception was warm, really helpful and full of advice about amenities. The style is typically old classic Italian and family run. The rooms are very comfortable, comfy beds and well equipped bathrooms. The breakfast buffet was really good. The staff were so warm and helpful. The beach is literally across the road and has a really good restaurant associated with the hotel . There’s help desk for booking loungers etc. A high point of our stay was dining in the rooftop Blu Bar. The dining is elegant and the cuisine is excellent- the service was both warm and really efficient. It was the highlight of our stay in Viareggio. We stayed for 3 nights but hope to return next year for a longer stay!

Great hotel. Location was excellent. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and the balcony on the fourth floor had stunning views. Breakfast was of a high standard. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here if visiting Viareggio again.
