Breakfast was amazing- truly enjoyed it! The rooms are spacious. Beds are comfortable but the pillows are very small and very soft. No other options. Pool was nice but small. Pool bar food was great!

Many of the staff did not speak english so was a challenge to communicate. The lobby bar had daily specials but many of the staff weren't aware of them. We went there one night due a drink special and the waitress said oh no we don't offer that. Went back the next day and asked someone else and they said 'oh year, we have that". It was very frustrating. We didn't go back there again. Struggled to get a lounger by the pool - small area so unless you are out there at the crack of dawn, you won't get a spot. No nightly entertainment so you had to go out to find that.

Overall great experience. Room was satisfactory, the pool came in handy on my first day, great way to start the trip lounging with a cocktail and pizza. It was so hot most days, having the pool option is really a plus. The breakfast spread is really what made me pick this hotel over another and it was worth it. So many options. The staff were also very helpful and professional.

Well it's quite the popular location so it gets crowded in the lobby area and out front particularly to get cabs.

Riu is a well located hotel, near to the centre of Panama City . The food as always is perfect for breakfast and also for dinner . The room was perfect and very comfirtable with a nice bathroom .

Its too cold inside the hotel, the Aircon works for too low temperature inside the hotel . The swimming pool is too small and mostly many guests are there which makes your stay not so pleasent ! For the parking the hotel is charging USD 13 including taxes and the guys at the valet parking mentioning to you again and again, that you can give Tips-Propina . I think that sgould be my decision and they dont need to tell me this again and again . Typical central american mentality :(

This 3 bed room (T/T/SB) on the 8th floor had similar good points although just as cold, and smaller than earlier 3 bed room on 10th floor. Sofa bed was newer; same unevenness but no bad smell area. Enjoyed a lovely meal at Tastes restaurant in hotel. Excellent service, meal quality and presentation (seafood stew, beef entree) at reasonable cost. Menu did not include pasta, which I was craving, so the chef put together a shrimp pasta dish for me. Would happily eat here again.

Pool area restaurant was not a good value. My son liked his octopus tacos but my vegie burrito and daughter's nachos were not tasty. Burrito used mozzarella cheese and broccoli, cauliflower etc . Nachos used spaghetti sauce rather than salsa. On an earlier stay we had had a nice mojito and mai tai from the pool bar but my lunch margarita was weak and watery.

The views from our room were amazing (of course, as you see how tall the hotel is). The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious!

1. The front desk clerks & restaurant hostess were very nice & friendly, but the bellhop & taxi stand hosts were NOT. 2. The bathroom was dated. The rain shower-head was wonderful, but you could tell it was added on in an attempt to update. 3. There really should be dinner restaurant options available. We ordered room service and it was nothing like their fresh breakfast. Overall I could stay here again, but I would be interested to see what other properties were available first.

The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable with nice amenities. The valet parking was actually efficient with short wait times. Friendly staff. Our key wouldn't work one afternoon and the housekeeper would not open the room for us. Security is important and appreciated.

I don't like paying $20 a day for parking and then tipping the valet every time I need the car. Not tipping is not cool so I always tip. I should've asked for a room with a view since the view from our side kind of sucked. The traffic in this area is horrible from 9-5 so keep that in mind when planning your day.

I like everything: Rooms were large and beautifully decorated. Bathroom was spacious with all toilleries and bathtub with rain shower. Staff was nice and very polite. Buffet Breakfast was plenty; it had everything that you could imagine. Lobby was huge, modern and beautuful; there is also a night band which is a nice touch while having a drink at the bar. Location was excellent within walking distance to nice restaurants. There is a small coffee shop / convenient store open 24 hours, I appreciate the fact that the front desk staff allowed us to check-in before time; that was a nice touch.

Bed and pillows not as comfortable as I would like, I am used to softer pillows and comfier mattress, Pool: I found the pool area and swimming pool too small for the size of the hotel; they were always packed. However, the pool staff was super nice. The coffee machine needs to be cleaned before a guest arrives; the one in my room did not give me a good impression, The mini refrigerator has to be checked at before guests arrival; the one in my room was leaking water inside. In sum, all equipment needs to be clean and working when a guest arrives.

The pool is beautiful and the rooms are perfectly designed. We struggled to get the hot water going but once we figured out the tricks, we were super happy in the room. The food in the restaurants were generous portions and tasty, if expensive for what it was.

Some of the staff are lovely, but there is a lot of variety, given it's such a large team. We did find ourselves wondering why some of the staff were working in hospitality if they clearly disliked it, and also began wondering if we were being treated differently to other nationalities, only based on what we witnessed. Perhaps this is a cultural difference, we are English and Mexican, extremely service-focused countries :)

The service was beyond imagination. The staff was very friendly and attentive to your needs. they shortly after arrival learned your name and addressed you by your name each encounter there after . some of them remembered your name from previous visits, Food was excellent. I spent my birthday there and when I returned to my room that night they had a cake and a bowl with fruits on my table.

Occasionally there is foul odor that comes from a sewage nearby, that can be smell while at the pool area. Additionally they the had a massage and spa on the six floor that is not there any more. Hopefully it's under renovation

Location Fair :It's not close to attractions like Casco Antiguo, but you'll pay a lot to stay in a good hotel there. So better to take transport app which is cheap in Panama city. I stayed in 2 types of room: Quiet large deluxe king room with safe and good Wi-Fi. Professional staff. Big chain hotel service. Huge breakfast with all kinds of fruits, yogurt, hot Panamanian and South American food, cheeses, omelettes, cold meats, juices. Great, and the only problem is that it gets crowded, but there's no queue. During my stay I changed rooms (paid, not upgrade) to a Senior Suite, on average 50% more expensive. The room is double the size of the standard deluxe King. Beautiful suite and view. With 2 bathrooms, living room, very beautiful. Senior Suite entitles you to use a lounge. The lounge is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, in the morning there is food from breakfast and in the afternoon some sweets, in addition to service and space to sit. Summary: Paying for the suite for the room itself might be worth it. Not valid for the lounge due to limited opening hours.
